The Pier 21 museum sounds amazing. I am currently an immigrant in the UK from Canada, but my partner will soon been an immigrant in Canada from the UK, so immigration and stories relating to it are something that I am super into now because it is so close to my heart (like the movie Brooklyn, ugh I cried so much). Thanks for sharing your experience with us. I always forget how wonderful the maritimes are.

I live in Halifax so to hear you both talk about all the different attractions is so refreshing. Next time you're in Halifax, you have to check out Moon Moon Cosmetics. It's an Asian beauty supply store at the landing (near where The Bicycle Thief is) and there's a hairless cat that resides there and it's such a cute unique little store that I love having in the city.

Ahhhh!!! I LOVE that antique store! It's such a beautiful building, and the elderly man who runs it is so sweet. I always wanted to pick something up there when I was living in Halifax, but never found anything practical. Hopefully when I go back for vacation, I'll find something! Watching this video made me realize how much I miss that city.. Ahhh!!
Yeah he was really nice!!! There was actually this wardrobe we wanted to buy, it was SO reasonably priced and such a gorgeous piece... but we could never have found a way to get it back to Toronto. I'll just have to keep dreaming about that wardrobe 😌

My family went on vacation to the Maritimes when I was 12-13 (my birthday was in the middle), and I loved Halifax so much. I especially remember loving Pier 21, because I had been to Ellis Island (the closest American equivalent) a few times, and it was really interesting to see how they were the same and how they were different. I'm so glad you guys loved it too!

She did take time to find wifi and send me a message that Cow's ice cream is probably the best ice cream they have ever had.
