aren't we supposed to round off the last answers after calculations i.e to the least number of digits after the decimal place as per addition rule??

I do not understand which to choose? I understand the exponents have to be made to be the same - but how do you know which to choose?

I am not understand last 2 question exponent are -8 and -5 and then exponent are subtruct why we move right ???
