    OH MY GOD I ACTUALLY UNDERSTAND IT! Thank you so much, my math teacher kind of expects us to magically know how to do things, so he doesn't teach us. This is very helpful.

    Thank you I'm 14 and I was so lost. I was mostly confused with the powers of ten. I know how to work out the problem but when it comes to the last step I don't get how it would change into a lower power or a negative or a higher or a positive power. But I get it now thank you! (-:

    I was absent when my class was learning this and I have a test tomorrow. I told my math teacher that I was never taught this and she asked why I wasn't at her help session this morning. I had no idea she had a help session and I had one for science to go to. She then basically told me its my problem. Thank god I found this though cause I would be in tears without it.

    5:05 the decimal point moved to left not right.At the first you said right.

    • @flyynubian1024
      @flyynubian1024 4 роки тому

      He's talking about the decimal moving to the right in the power of 10. 10 to the 4th becoming 10 to the 5th means youre multiplying by 10 so the decimal moves to the right. To compensate for multiplying the 10 to the 4th by 10 to make it 10 to the 5th, you must divide 3.5 by ten which is the same as moving the decimal to the left.

    The significant figures on the last problem are wrong it would need to be 3.5 x 10 to the power of 6 because you can only have as many decimal places as the number with smallest amount of decimal places you are adding.
