I'm an international student and in Brazil I didn't learn Sig Figs. So my CHEM professor taught this really quickly in class and I was totally lost. With this video explanation I learned it. Thank you for taking your time to upload this video and teach many students around the world. ❤️
Believe me I live in the CA USA and my teacher did exactly the same thing. He has a phd in Chem so I guess that he assumes that everybody is as good as him.
Eu tambem tive dificuldades com Sig. Figs na faculdade. Acredito que o professor daqui subentende que aprendemos no ensino fundamental. Eu sempre uso Khan Academy para esclarecer duvidas.
😭😭 if there was a way to use voice note on the comment section....I would use it to express my great appreciation for ur help. You truly are a blessing to us all
This man is the reason why I'm passing all of my classes. I always hated math as a kid because my teachers just really suck at teaching until I stumbled upon this channel and my understanding of math has been strong ever since. Thank you the organic chemistry tutor!
I started my Mathematics channel 5 years before this guy yet the number of subscribers i have is the amount added to his channel per month or less. Legend!
You helped me pass my GED, pass my remedial math courses, and now you’re helping me with my pre-gen chem and college algebra courses. Thank you so much OCT.
Really appreciate your effort. At the beginning i thought oh 45 mins its too long, but then i watched it all just to get done once and for all with this issue. Thank you.
I just want to say, You are really smart! I love how you break the information down in such a humble way. God bless you, sir! Please keep up the good work a lot people are depending on you😇
Bro, I just want to say this is WAYY better explained than how my teacher taught me. Literally, it is sad how students learn more from UA-cam these days.
Omgg thankyou so much. This topic was so confusing for me and teachers always leave it by giving barely 2-3 examples when there are so many possibilities to the type of questions under this topic. You covered literally ALL OF THEM. Idk what I would do without your videos
thank you so much for this!!!!!!! i have a chem test tomorrow and an hour ago i was crying because i didn't understand sig figs and thought i was going to fail but remembered this channel and now i actually understand what's going on
You are a wonderful teacher! I really appreciate your use of blue colored lines to contrast (as visual cues) and showing your work step-by-steps to explain.
I thank God, for it leads me into this video, with just one click, stress-vanished. Ahhh😫 it's so much clearer to me now, such a gift. Thank u for the wisdom ❤😌🧠
Probably one of the most amazing math, chem, science, etc tutorial videos I've seen :DD. I'm actually using most of your videos when I study. Thank you sir for your vids they are great
You are truly a big help! Everytime I didn't understand the topic regarding to math and sciences, I immediately go to your channel and watch your tutorial. Weird but I really love your voice.
AMAZING!! Best regards from Brazil. I could not understand anything about this subject until I saw this video. Thank you very very much, profesor, thank you UA-cam and thank you internet.
I just started Chem 100 and I have been SO lost. Thank you x 10000000 for this! This video just made everything click!! watching the rest now!!! THANK YOU!
One thing university teach us: we give you the subject, material you need to learn, you may or may not understand prof but still have to research more. Don't expect people to explain things very clearly to you. Just research more instead of feeling frustrated. And to any who complain their own teachers, they are also researchers, their deep knowledge may not be taught to you clearly, but at least, they lead you the right way to learn, many people in their own self-study progess don't have anyone to guide, thus losing more time learning irrelevant knowledge. However, as you all found this precious video, you all have good learning skill, hope you all achieve your desired score.
I'll add my thanks!! This video has really clarified sig figs and how to round answers for different operations. I'm helping my child with physics and needed to refresh my understanding. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
thank you so much for this video! i missed 8 hours of chem class due to a holiday and when i returned to class, i was completely lost! your video really clarified all the information with simple and easy to understand explenations! thank you for all the time you put into your videos!
Once again saving my butt not only in my math classes but also my chemistry classes! Teacher never taught how to so sigfig addition and subtraction and this was explained so well tyvm!
Many thanks from South Africa, I've been taught this by the teacher but I didn't understand the rules as she explained quickly and made things even more complicated.
my teacher isn't dumb by any means, it's just that she doesn't really know how to explain these calculations in a simple and digestible manner to students who are no where near her level of understanding... but bless the internet because this video really helped clear up my confusion and made me less anxious for the test we have a couple weeks? days? i have no clue anymore, but this just makes me feel comforted that i actually know the what the hell i'm doing lol thanks so much!
Thankyou so much for helping me I was completely lost in my chemistry class now, I was getting low scores on my homework I took a review quiz after watching your video the day prior to the quiz I got a 85 when I would normally get around a 34% thankyou 😁
31:30, when you add the 2 numbers 5.831 and 16.7004, the answer should be rounded to 3 decimal places! the rule is when adding of subtracting, to round answer to least number of decimal places in equation, hence 5.831 contains 3 d.p. so the answer isn't just "23"
Very well explained and so many types of questions to understand it better. Must listen because of the questions explained very well and in a simple manner. Thankyou so much ♥️🙌👍
I have a test about this in 2 days, I dont know what I would have done without watching this, the adding and subcracting always tripped me up, but i totally get it now thanks to your trick, thank you (:
Why do they teach the basics faster than the critical once? Was it because they think it is easy ? When in fact this is one of the fundamentals and we can't actually go on to another topics without learning it clearly. So, I think we must spend time to be familiarized enough with it. Btw. Thanks you're such a hero. Thanks it might save my failing grade in Chem and Chem Lab
Thank you so much for all your help, you are a lifesaver and I value your hard work. You have made it possible for me to understand physics even better than in Uni. I am sincerely grateful.
