Clint, I sold new and used equipment for 25 years out of Scott Truck & Tractor in Louisiana, to Gen. Contractors, Municipalities, Logging. I ended up the last 10 years or so working primarily with loggers. I started taking my dad with me and made him think he was helping me. Sometimes we would cook fish at the job site and sometimes in the winter months it would be Chili with all the trimmins. Sometimes he would talk about the good ol days. I said that to say this: You will never know how important that was until he's gone. Then you'll be glad you did. Larry Shillings of Shreveport, Louisiana.
Larry You're a great son and I bet you take after your dad. Unfortunately it takes 'age' [maturity] to realize that 'they' can be gone in a flash and most of us don't get to ask those questions or listen to their life and learn about who they were (before becoming your parent). Luckily and like you I got some of that time, some of the answers and some of his history.....but not all and not enough.
Me...I try to tell the odd youngun, when I get the chance, go *talk* to your parents and ask them "Who are you?"
Stay healthy, stay happy Larry All the best from Nottingham UK
Larry well put mate, we never realise what we have until it’s gone. When my Dad passed away I was having a few beer’s with some of his mates, some of the stories they told me about the things they all got up to had me in stitches laughing. The thing is it made me see him in a new light. I wished I would have talked to him about his younger years, but at least I got to hear their story’s. Cheers from down under.

instead of ''who are you?'' as a question.... get out the video recording device, and say to the olderpeeps speically to get the stories not often told, recorded and told before it is too late and they take the story ALONG WITH THEM INTO MEMORYLAND/that which is more than just here&now..... at the family gathering say something like:
''____ tell me a story that don't get told often, or has ever been told, don't need to be SCANDIOULOUS or anything, just trying to get the stories LESS TOLD some storytellin'time ...... and GO....''
HAVE A GREAT EVERY THING!!! :)
LOVE JOY COMPASSION
Advice my father once gave me: “Get a lot while you’re young!” It was just recently that I realized he was talking about real estate! With age there is wisdom…
You definitely look back on the time spent with them. My Dad passed last September and remembering the time spent helps a lot.
He had 100 acres of bush about 2 hours north of here and every year we would go and cut my firewood. For what I would get and what it took to get it, it wasn’t financially feasible to do it vs buying and having it dumped in my driveway. I always looked at it as time with him that I knew I’d value in the future.
It's amazing the number of new and almost new stuff up for auction
Probably bc they have dpf issues or other emissions problems. F you epa!!!
Good to See You Clinton, You are a Gentleman & a Scholar. I hope Your Boy’s are Aware just How BadAss Talented Their Father Is & I ain’t Kiddin’ !!
You Keep them Coming & I’ll Keep Watching, Keep It Safe Out There Fella’s
I agree with that statement!
There can be so many games played at auctions, from sellers, to auctioneers anf their helpers .
The old 30 minute floating clearcoat was funny.
A good sunny day will blister some of it off,and give it that leprosy color.
Thanks for sharing the process guys!
I love that you go and do things like this with your dad.
It's always a good time watching you at the auction. Learning a lot too! Thanks for taking us alone!
Glad to see you and your dad working together again!
Clint could you explain a bit more about buying equipment from overseas and the pitfalls please. I always like how you explain the laws about loading trucks and the rules of the road.
Warranty and parts availability.
All the answers are only a google away
He’s off base and unaware of where things are made in modern times. Very little of the “American” brands are assembled in the USA . Even fewer of the components are made in the USA. His Peoria Illinois comment is nonsense. Go to a CAT dealer . Just looked at a CAT 307.5 excavator and they are all made in china . John Deere is even less American . Only their largest tractors and combined are assembled here .
When the do those drone shots and we see just how many machines there are here, added to the other auctions, my mind goes into overdrive as to where they all go. AMAZING.

Big thanks for letting us tag along and the drone footage bro. Safe travels. Ken.
Thanks Clint for letting me watch. I appreciate it big Jim.
I've got a 6T, made in France, bought directly from CAT, no warranty issues. I believe they make everything up to a 6 overseas.
Very interesting! Thanks for sharing this with you and your Father!!😊
I seen Cletus fly over right after that Cat 345 sold for $39,500
I really like these videos, you help us be more knowledgeable about the equipment. 😊
Shame there wasn't much there worth buying, the prices are even worse up here in BC Thanks for giving all of us a look.
Great auction video thanks Clint and dad
Thanks for the ride along sir, enjoyed and appreciate your time recording and posting the video.
This is great! Love auctions. 👍🏻
Woohoo auction day!!!!!!
I enjoy your auction videos and the buyers tips you give!
Thanks for the video. Some nice stuff and nice price. You and your Dad be safe have a great trip
The lil heli forklifts 25 r pretty good place I used to work at had 2 1 they had 15 years then got another new one really tuff units the new one u turn the key on n had to wait on the fuel pump to shut off b4 u start like 10 seconds r less if not they crank a lil longer
Clint, thanks for educating me on the buyer beware things that may get overlooked. Thanks for another great video! Take care and I’ll see y’all down the road…
Just love your Auction days !
Thanks Clint. THe drone shots at the last were impressive as they showed the impressive scale of a major equipment aucdtion.
Great video. Really enjoyed the drone work at close out.
I found the PERFECT gifts for Kevin at 18:41 ! 😂😁😜
Great video 👍 I see Kevin having lots of fun in the bouncy castle 😊 the Hitachi double dipper Lot's of wear on the control line's get a T shirt made with "warranty void on all sanya sale's 😂😂
Thanks for taking me along
I would love to walk with you at these auctions because I see and hear myself trying to train equipment managers to have a plan how, what, when, and keep $$$$ the utmost thing in mind before buying. It just takes a boat load of experience to make the equipment flowing through your business.
Wow… they have equipment there for days! That is a huge auction!
Thank you for the ride along. Auctions can get you caught up in some bad deals if you’re not careful. You do well with your observations.
Clint.... Those auctions are ALWAYS inteesting... Thanks.... Dave
Kevin would have loved one of those bouncy houses😂😂😂😂😂😂
Looking forward to seeing the hot rod golf cart build still.....
Wow on some of the prices. Absolutely enjoy these videos. Wish I could understand the auctioneer better. Thanks for bringing us along Clint.
Your dad pushing the golf cart up on the truck😳💪💪 Great show and thanks for sharing!!🤗🇺🇸
Glad you enjoyed it
Watching this in the evening. Don’t get nightmares. Watching TV Is always a possibility. Thank you sir God bless
That Western Star Dumptruck was nice!
Fun fact Clint. The same Scot’s man who invented the television also invented the airboat!! John Logie Baird🎉
Copper wire was also invented in Scotland.
Two Scotsmen were fighting over a penny.
Caterpillar Limited Warranty1 covers the cost of parts and labor for 12 or 24 months or a specific number of operating hours for new Cat equipment and engines.
Cat D6 and D6 XE dozers are manufactured exclusively in East Peoria, Ill., and Grenoble, France, along with other models in the medium dozer line.
In the late 1920s that early Caterpillar gas powered model Ten and Twenty track-type tractors were working on sugar beet fields and vineyards across France.
The D4D was the first track-type tractor produced in Brazilian territory, at a former facility in Santo Amaro city in 1969. Nowadays, the Piracicaba facility produces the models D6K, D6N, D6T and D8R. Piracicaba is also the sole source for the model D8T.
Nice to hear you making a list of things for people to watch out for on machines. Hate to pay for something and there is major issues later. Parts cost adds up quickly on if you don’t watch out for sure.
I suspect that Clint won't be bidding on Sany products after his surprise with the one 😊
What episode was that?
another great video thank you for sharing have a great day and God Bless
18:40 has Kevin's name ALL OVER IT!!!
that excavator with super long reach and wide bucket thinking would be handy for pond maintenance with that long reach
Chris and his uncle have one for some of their pond maintenance
It's a lot of work to get good deal at an auction!!!
All the best from Surrey BC Canada
Thanks for sharing great watch 👍👋🇨🇦
WOW! Lots of Iron!
That was a good auction. It sure helps when you know the tricks of the trade all the stuff to look for but not to look for like you said scrapes on the bucket with the forklift. Yeah it's not your first rodeo and you got to know what you're doing for sure good stuff. 👍👍🙂🇨🇦
Clinton thanks for sharing! Kevin
Seems like the only ones made in USA....is at #CandCEquipment 😊
Yaaaa ..lol ..Here we go!! My turn to buy!! Coffees on! Cheers! lov it!!;-)!
Great video..... see you on the next one
Great video Clint.
That place is huge
Seems to be bigger than Barbados 🇧🇧
I also like you video shorts about the things you found at the auctions.
Fun in the sun!
Be safe Mr. C and pops while out of town! Awesome video like always!!!!!
That giant 375 cat ,went for 39000 .500, that thing is 100.000 pounds ,you could scrap it and make more than 39000.quick money to ,scrap it right out the front gate, lolprobably not allowed. Thanks BigAl California.
hello C & C Equipment & it's is Randy and i like yours video is cool Thanks C & C Equipment Friends Randy
Thanks for sharing
It’s nice to see your dad in the video once in awhile.
Need to keep reminding your viewers about the Sany unwarranty.
Made in China should be more than enough warning!!!
What a fun video. I love all 'em. 😊
Always appreciate you taking us along to the auctions I learn what to look for and your always a wealth of information. Crazy that the dozers were going so high..but your a savvy business owner and know when to walk away. You know how many man hours and parts you may have and a unit and know what you need to get on the end product. My Dad taught me a true fundamental element to be successful in business you can't be by just swapping money...having the Napa stores we earned our living in wholesale a tougher way for sure...but we dominated the market by out serving the competition and you show those same values. Always appreciate you sharing your day with us.😎👨🔧🚜🇺🇸😇🙏🛠️
Love all your videos
Ha, they also have that cheap export / import gate junk. Seems the auction houses are very keen on taking advantage of the buying frenzy to also include some junky stuff.
Lots of 5 gallon shines going on too. Oh well, life at the auctions! Deals are still to be had if ya know what you're looking at!
Goes to show that not everything at the auction is junk, but all of the junk is at the auction! 😉
Sumitomo very popular here in Australia.good reliable machine ,used to operate a 13.5 tonsumi was a powerful and smooth.
Lotsa stuff thanks for sharing 🎉😅
Cat new gen dozer D1-D3 uses the same C3.6L Engine.
D1 80hp/17855 lbs
D2 92hp/18382 lbs
D3 104hp/20639lbs
I guess all things are relative, having run a D11T by Hitachi 3600’s for 15 years the equipment for auction seems so tiny. And this iron was dwarfed by the draglines and electric P&H 4100’s we worked around. The D11’s burned 400 gallons of fuel apiece in a 12 hour shift. Damn…….
First skid steer I ever ran was a case and the back door that lets you check oil and air filters fell off of it
Cat has multiple plants to build dozers, due to high demand and trying to meet local emissions, cat still makes some dozers with 3406 diesel engines in brazil.
Enjoyed the video. Love going to equipment auctions.
How do you get access to these? Open to public?
Show up at the auction, if you're considering buying something come a day or two early.😊
Wow that thing has a reach you could be across town and still dig it out.
Would really love someone to do a series, or point me to someone that already has such content, on what the letters and number designations mean on this sort of equipment and tractors etc., just like you did with the scissor lift. Going through each manufacturer, one at a time, explaining how to identify what you are looking at.
Great video!
Clint I see you were eyeing up the black tractor at the 441 mark!
Thanks.
Sumitomo makes the American Terex cranes too. They are really nice machines.
Still didn’t see any Case 1845c’s…
The transport cost of that 375 would probably be almost 1/2 of what they paid. That’s the type of machine that you buy to keep it at quarry or a sandpit where it will stay for its entire life.
Thanks
Wow that 375 sold cheap! Expensive to move but still!
Right door on the Liebherr looks like it was rattling, could have just been the camera vibrating being an optical illusion. Likewise it might not be that much of a concern. But for the price those usually go for it's not unreasonable to want a cab that's pretty much air tight.
How does all the off shore products that were made in the great USA back in the day effect your job? As far as auction purchases and repairing ? And fixing equipment brought to you for repairs and add on's? Are parts readily available and stocked for your purchase for repairs ?
Very good 💯 thanks
DP needs one of the jack hammer for his 210 track hole
Seems to me more and more manufacturers use the warranty to wriggle out of claims
"Did you start it? Sorry that voided your warranty"
Not like the days when manufacturer's were confident in the quality of the design and fabrication of their products
@5:54 the vovol, hit a Tricycle cycle. In the 5 and 10 parking lot
😅😅😅😅😅😅
Clint next step I see you trading that Dodge in and flying in on the Helicopter, 👍
Good auction but yeah prices are climbing tho......bring all auction to video.....lots of fun.....thanks Clint..
In lieu of a warranty and parts support for those French Cat dozers you get a five year supply of fresh croissants. It's fun just watching people bid on stuff at the auction and seeing some cool equipment. Thanks for taking us along.
you need something that won't fit in the garage then convence DP its PERFECT
Nice Vid!
That is a lot of equipment at one spot. Everything at a consignment auction has a story some are fairytales with happy endings and some are nightmares
Clint, I need a 42” bucket for a komatsu pc200-6. Drop it off in SC on your way back north 👍🏼 Thanks
Those French dozers. Dropped once never fired.
