Had a similiar issue with a pickup stuck off road on a person's lawn. The pickup belonged to the homeowner who missed his driveway and went 100ft across his own lawn.
He wanted no damage to his lawn pulling out his truck. So we went slow and got it out to find he had damaged his truck on some rocks not at his house but a mile before his house when he had gone off road 1st before coming home and crashing.
He jumped up and down that we damaged his truck but witnesses started showing up saying he was always drunk and miserable and he in fact did damage his truck earlier down the road.
Then he refused to pay me and demanded I tow it to "the dealer". I asked what dealer and he said figure it out so I did. The dealer sticker on the truck was a Ford dealer about 100kms away and I called them asking if they would pay the recovery and tow to their dealership which they said yes and off I go driving past 2 Ford dealers along the way! I got paid and when I was leaving the service manager thanked me because he owed them $2000. for over a year for..wait for it...collision damage repair.
The next morning I rolled into the yard to find 2 police cars and the homeowner sitting in an ambulance being attended to.
Story goes he showed up as the shop opened ranting and raving and threatening the dispatcher who had no idea where his truck was and when he shoved the female dispatcher the service dept emptied into the office and subdued him hence the ambulance. He was charged with assault, arrested also for driving without insurance (his wife's car) and days later the Ford dealer called to say the bank repoed his truck from the dealership.
He never found his truck before it was repoed never thinking I'd tow it to the dealer on the truck sticker.
This guy was such a hot head he couldn't think straight. Cheers 🇨🇦

I can assure you that a complaint like this woman’s wouldn’t be going anywhere. I’d probably fill out an initial complaint report and then just mark it “Unfounded”. Sometimes it’s nice to have these unfounded complaints on file so the next guy that gets a call from the same person knows what he’s dealing with.
