I agree they are missing Steve Gorman’d swagger and feel. But with his bio freshly on the shelves... they might have taken exception to his view of the past.
I totally miss Gorman's punch and swing but that dog wasn't gonna hunt after the book. It may very well have been the kick in the ass to wake them up but they both took body blows on character in that. Shame on both of 'em for being dinks for too long. Still loves me my Crowes though.

Yea I was thinking of getting tickets , but not just to see the Robinson brothers, I'll pass. Saw the original line up at the Channel in Boston on this tour.
I thought they did a decent job with some of the symm songs at the Bowery. It is evident though on Twice as Hard especially that they are missing Steve. The sum is greater than the parts.
Perhaps with all the negative stuff Steve Gorman has to say of late about this reunion is evidence that he was a huge part of the problem. Chris and Rich on stage together again is awesome. Good riddance to Gorman.
@@robpaxson4455 True or untrue, what difference does it make? We're talking about two brothers that worked through a falling out. I can think of two other brothers that didn't get past the falling out. Their names are John and Tom. Gorman...meet...curb.

Wish everyone was involved but good to see the Robinsons have dropped that hippie folk bullshit they've aged into. Time to get back to some rock and blues!
Why would all the original members reunite? They are all in their 50's, people change and go in different directions. Chris and Rich started this band and are brothers. Their bond is stronger than with the other members that played stints with the band. Gorman is the only other member that was around for a long time but he seems bitter about the band's history and the brothers in general so no surprise he's not there. Steve did leave the band in 2001 to do other things before he came back. Life goes on, enjoy the music.

Doesn’t mean you can’t go to the show and contribute to the money grab and have a good time. Sorry but I don’t know if my ears are good enough to tell the difference between the new drummer and steve anyways. I think most people who aren’t musicians or audiophiles wouldn’t know the difference. With that said steve”s book is amazingly well written and you don’t even have to know who the black Crowe’s are to enjoy it. I have recommended it to at least 30 people this week.
Beauty By A Bell Because the real BC drummer (Steve Gorman) isn’t a part of this...because the Robinson bro’s didn’t want to pay him what he’s worth. Not a reunion!!!
Beauty By A Bell Yes! This drummer seems very apprehensive and light.. not an attack on his skill, but Steve was a hard ballsy player, this guy isn’t. Maybe that’s what the brothers want. That’s the difference between a band member and a hired gun.

The thing with the Drummer is I could tell when I first heard him, is more of like a fusion type player he plays openhanded. This song technically is very simple but it requires a certain pocket that a lot of guys not nail. Steve was and is the only drummer for this band. I saw them in the early 2000’s w another guy and it was so evident. You can hear the first mistake this guy is doing he’s playing too many ghost notes on the snare and also just a little too syncopated for the song. It throws the feel off this is a straightforward groove. I bet you rich will notice that stuff I mean he can’t copy Steve that would kind of be lame but before they go on tour if I know rich he’ll tell the guy what he needs to work on

Guys , who cares if it a money grab. It’s about the music. They aren’t young anymore so the same energy wouldn’t have been there anyways.
