Hope is the queen of my heart ❣🌸💖🌸💖🌸💖🌸💖🌸💖she has adjusted well, and with cranky Willow busy tending her babies Hope has had some respite and looks happy and relaxed, Al pls give her a special hug from me
Good morning, I love looking at Willow ‘s eyes, they are so gentle and in love, such a big difference from the day they came to live at the Lumnah homestead. Tanner has grown up so much. I hope the weather improves so the vegetables can get hardened off and planted.
I had asparagus for the very first time tonight....and I'm 67 years old! I tried it just because of your videos! It was surprisingly good! Thanks for sharing your suppers with us.
You asked why I am here and I not a homesteader. Is because I like watching the younger generation start doing things like this again. If I were younger and able to I would be right there doing things like this for me. But I am just liking all of your videos and all of your animals and your family. Thank you!
Morning and another rain storm filled day. We had such a storm last weekend it flooded our big ditch and it poured over into our back area and clear up to our house and down to the road. Washed all my flower beds out back of the house. Don’t mind the free watering but oh my all my work washed away. Love the baby goats so sweet. Nice to watch a happy thing each morning.
Little P is going to be trouble. lol Hope seems so much more at home now. All the goats seem to love a lot of attention and loving by you all. I know that Gina does a lot around the homestead, but we hardly get to see her on videos working. So it was a nice surprise to see her working with you, Al, doing chores in the garden. I know she is going to be so excited to go out and harvest the food that you have grown. :) Thumbs up for putting the fence around the garden. And also very smart about taking the mulch off of the garlic so it can breathe! It is also delightful to see Gina loving on the baby goats. I know that it will make a difference in their demeanor as they grow older. I know it is so easy to love on the new baby goats, but the other goats need lots of attention too. :) Your farm has come so far along. I know the barn will make so much difference in the way you live and do chores once it is finished. That way the house can be a house without having to do everything for the farm in the house. :) The Lasagna looked delicious! I know it was yummy! The asparagus looked perfectly roasted! I always delight in watching your videos! Your farm is looking amazing!
I love Little Man, maybe you can make him a wether and keep him. He will still be good at brush clearing and fertilizer making and if you ever get a buck, he can be the companion since goats are herd animals and do not like to be alone.
Dude. You guys are awesome. You pay so much attention to each animal, you talk to them, pet them, take care of them, it’s amazing. You inspire me a lot! ♥️✌🏻
I 100% agree with your quote. I have always told my girls "you learn more from your mistakes than from your successes so don't regret them, be grateful for an opportunity to grow " love watching you guys! Thank you for sharing your day. Now.... Heading out to work on my chicken coop, just got our first ever chickens. Living a blessed life!
Al y'all are such a blessing to us! Thanks for your hard work. While the guys are there with equipment make a terrace that drains water coming down from house between house and goat pen slowly draining towards the land you cleared.
I hope Hope becomes the leader of the pack too. lol She is just the sweetest, but I think Pea is going to be just as sweet. All the baby goats are so sweet! I just love how Pea is so jealous and doesn't want any of the other baby's in Gina's lap but she doesn't want to miss any of the action either. So cute, so funny. Yes, I used to make homemade lasagna all the time, it was my late husband's favorite meal. My youngest, who is home with me for a bit longer, doesn't like it, so I don't make it anymore. But was thinking just the other day about doing one and putting smaller ones in the freezer for myself. Everything is looking so good on the homestead!!!
Hey Al, Good to see none of the chickens got caught when you were moving the meatbird tractor. One thing you can do to help prevent them getting a leg caught is to put a 2x2 across the rear of the tractor, side-to-side, about 6 inches from the back. Place it a few inches off the ground (you can just place it on the frame). In this manner the chickens will get bumped by the bar first, but won't get their feet caught since it is off the ground. CAN'T WAIT FOR THE BARN!!! :-)
Al! Get yourself some ladybugs and mothballs! Because of all the dampness, there is an increased insect volume. The ladybugs will fix it. Then put mothballs on the floor in the greenhouse area. That will combat the rodents.
I make lasagna from ‘almost scratch ‘ meaning all ingredients other than the noodles, which is organic but in a package! I do add Carrots, cut or grated, Bell Peppers cut, Onions, Celery cut thin, and I add either Kale or Spinach, cut into shreds, adding all that into the sauce with browned ground beef. Then I layer on Cottage cheese with mozzarella and Asiago cheese between the layers of sauce and noodles! I have never used a recipe on this, but of all the lasagnas that my family and friends have made, they still to this day rave over mine, which humbly I am proud of. My mother never taught me how to cook; I had to figure it all out myself when I moved out after becoming a mother for the first time when I was just 20. Now I have a real knack for creating dishes! It’s fun...I enjoy it!
You all looked so radiant today......it must be the warm weather and being able to discard some of those winter clothes......Al you have such a lovely 'helpmeet'.......and the little Olivia is a testament to your family culture. It interests me to hear of your rainfall. I live in the wettest town in Australia where the annual rainfall is approximately 4 metres...so i can empathise with you in your enjoyment of the sunny days. Be blessed.......you work while I sleep :)
8:32 I like to watch that one chicken that takes her sweet time coming out of NYC. She doesn't run with the flock and often doesn't go the same direction at all.
I love your videos Al! Those baby goats are so precious! Can I request to see a bit more if Hope as well getting tons of love🤞🙏She is so sweet and loves people so much. I'm sure you all just don't get it all on video but I sure would like to request a little more Hope, if I may. ❤🙏
Sharon Karkarashvili It’s so much fun watching Hope grow Up. 😃 Too bad we don’t get to see Fern and Luna’s baby (can’t believe I’ve forgotten her name!) grow up. Weed em... haven’t recorded them much since the live stream. Just a few seconds here and there 😢 Edit: Stella! 😂
Handy tip. If you struggle to open a jar or a bottle that has a screw on lid or cap, just place the lid part or cap part under the hot water tap. The hot water helps release some of the pressure and makes it easy to open.
Your videos are so relaxing & just love to see the kindness you have with all your animals on the homestead. Little Pea wants to eat when do the babies start eating regular food? And probably little chipmonks at your plants they are already at my strawberries!
HAIL to Queen HOPE.......has a great ring to it for a change. She's earned it. Great video once again, always have a great time, viewing the progress of your loving Homestead!
Yep , Lumnah Acres is looking spring healthy. Nice and green. Um boy! Aspergrass , my favorite vegetable. My next favorite is Lakota squash. Boiled , mashed , mixed with butter and some brown sugar. Almost like squash pudding !
Today was very good. Those goats are just to cute. Can’t wait to see them out with the other goats. Barn prep is looking good. Hope you start get more dry days.
Those goats totally suit you guys! So cute! Figaro is such a big sook hey. You talk to him and he comes rubbing up against your leg. So sweet :) The homestead is looking really good!
I so wish I had help with my garden chores...getting older is a blessing, but grown kids need to stop over more than once a year to lend a hand for Mama.
You guys are so fun to watch. I could watch those goats play all day long. Just like you said. I think I'll make some lasagna for dinner this weekend. Yummy! God bless you and your endeavors.
I just love hope and that crazy white chicken...lol she's a trip haha.and little P she is so funny and ahe is the queen of that group , cant wait to see little and hope together. And wow pork and chop is getting so big...well have a blessed day !
“ In the depth of winter, I finally learned that within me there lay an invincible summer.” Albert Camus Thank you for sharing your life with us Al! Big hugs from Sweden 💕
Hope is my favorite goat on your farm. After watching you pick her up from the airport I discovered Weed and Reap and watched her birth and growth as a baby on their farm. I notice that you make lasagna with pasta. I highly recommend butternut squash instead.
I love your animals. They are so cute. I've heard that human contact is very important, and you're doing it. I wouldn't get much done with those baby goats around.
Good morning Al and family!! I really look forward to your videos each morning. Wish they were longer but I know your a busy man. The baby goats are so cute and funny. Love Tanner, Pluto and Figaro also. Hope y’all have a blessed day! From North Carolina!! ♥️
Ya Know AL.....Gina sure is a good 'partner'. You 2 work so well together. I'd imagine you don't need some 'internet stranger' to remind you of how fortunate you are. JMHO.~Eli.
Love you guys Channel. Look forward to watch him every morning. The baby goats look so cute. The pigs have gotten so big I can't believe they're growing that fast. I always put a lot more cheese in my lasagna but it was good too
I always chuckle to myself when I see your screwdriver that locks and holds willows door!😆 maybe wherever you put NYC before winter hits make sure the tires land on some gravel so it’s not as hard to move in the spring from all the mud. 🤔 you need to strap a GoPro to CWC
Al, you could have a big black & white, furry bug that devours certain plant leaves very quickly...it's called a CAT. I found out that mine (who is also B&W) loves cruciferous leaves, as well as beans, peas, cilantro, basil, lettuce, spinach, and would have also eaten pepper and tomato leaves if I hadn't gotten to them in time. Some cats just happen to love their salads!
Hi, I would let your existing grass grow crazy and go to seed and collect the different kinds and put some of it on the new pasture to increase the diversity a bit faster. Have fun with all the activities.
Soon you'll be making cheese from goat milk. I use mine for this and manicotti. When you make yogurt, you can let it drip to make greek yogurt, cream cheese or sour cream. Experiment and have fun in life.
I love watching your daily vlog, thought Id give you a little hint, when it comes to opening cans like tomato paste or any other food that is a bit thick, once you have the top of the can opened, punch a hole in the bottom of the can(nice size) once the can is opened it should just slide out, no more scraping the inside. Hope you have a great day today

I'm here and i m a city girl! Just goes to show that you don't have to be a homesteader to enjoy this content!

Wonderful morning! Little P believes Mrs. Gina belongs to her. The babies are growing so quickly. Thank you for a happy start to a gray cloudy day.

Love seeing Gina out working the homestead. She is my favorite homestead wife!
Hello.....I dont know much about pigs, but from what I have seen...your pigs "become" the happiest and most humanly sociable creatures...
What an epic homestead. And such blessed family. You always cook good foods. So delicius! Yum. Keep going guys. We love you! ❤️
So inspiring

What a wonderful idea!!!!
Hey little Pi loves to cuddle !!!! Does little man sense that he will be going away ??? He does not jump as much as maggy and Pi!!!!!
Chipmunks come and feast on my starts. I use cheap netting from the fabric shop. You can get it on line for about .99 yard and it really helps.
You could set up a cam to see what it is getting into your plants...
You should try mounting a camera inside New Yolk City when you are moving.

I love the peacefulness that comes across on your videos.

fun watching the baby goats, hope you can figure out what critter likes your plants, dinner looks amazing

Add powdered cinnamon to boiling water and leave covered for as long as y you can. Strain into a spray bottle and spray on to your plants.
