Lot of rain, weeds and pollen. Just took a decongestant, feel your pain. Have a saying, don't drive yourself crazy, when you know it's within walking distance. Good seeing Hope standing up for herself. Thanks for sharing.
According to me 18 eggs! You do the chickens short. (hihi). When you cut the feathers of the wing (1) of the white chicken, she'll be unbalanced when wanting to fly. When you cut both, she'll probably fly.
Al, When measuring out Honey or Molasses I grease the inside of the measuring cup with butter, oil or non-stick cooking spray, it allows the sticky ingredients to slide out without a lot of residue left in the measuring cup.

Sorry you're feeling a little under the weather-I think your body needs to be sick once and a while just to remember what it's supposed to do to fight off illness. Al, I have learned so much from you sharing your homestead with us. You are so knowledgable. So have you always known all this stuff or have you gone about educating yourself? Were you prepared to farm when you moved there or has all of your learning been between reading and trial and error? Just curious to know. I grew up on a farm and I now understand why my dad did the things that he did. He was pretty progressive to have a homestead. He bought his during WWII. After the war when everyone was moving to the "new" idea of suburbs, my dad created a homestead. I always loved growing up there. But in the 70's things started changing as far as gardening and I began to learn to grow in beds. Now there are newer ways. I always like to progress as long as it makes sense. If not, I will stick to the old ways until I find that it is better to change. :) But i love your homestead, it is very workable, and you make it easy to follow during the seasons. I am that kind of a person, I need to know what needs to be done when. I think that is why I enjoy your channel. You go about your daily chores and it is the same routine daily. It is relaxing and comfortable to watch you share your life. :) Thanks.

That seed mat is a game changer for me too. Presprouting pepper seeds and tomatoes went well it cut the time by weeks for the peppers to grow and a week for tomatoes. Beets can be presprouted as well as peas fall types. My hubby likes you giant soil block maker. Now to get him to make us one. No more collecting used plant pots for growing our veggie starts.
when you get Willow's birth area ready (you need to get it done it is making me nervous she is going to drop and you won't be ready) the bucket needs to be attached to the wall to keep the babies out of it (they do drown in buckets which is why it needs hooking up) you need lubricant in case you have problems and one of you has to assist, iodine to get their umbilical cords clean and keep bacteria away, molasses or something like that for when Willow is in labour and see needs a boost even for after the birth if she is tired - and Hopes sleeping box needs to go back in as Weed em and Reap have something similar for their baby goats to keep them warm - good luck I really enjoy your video's and wait for 10:30-11:30 pm New Zealand time for one each day
You made some happy little pigs with the bone broth. Love the independent white chicken, she's just doing her thing too bad you couldn't leave her out.
If Moose were at our farm he would be in the fridge. A roosters job is definately to protect the hens from danger or threats but those of us that feed and care for them are not threats. For every aggressive roo there are plenty of docile roosters out there. We do not sell nor breed/hatch from ANY rooster that flogs because that behavior is hereditary and passed onto offspring. Hopefully you'll figure out what to do with that boy♡
Kitty, checking your work, he is so cute, I can help watch him follow you all over. Chicken run out of there is fun to watch. When did you say you are picking the names for the pigs, White chicken should be called Crazy Lady, lol she funny.

Put those garlic and onion skins in your broth to cook up with your bones. It add quercetin to your broth! Also, add a splash of apple cider vinegar to the water, it helps extract more calcium from the bones.
Leave those skins on the onion for your broth! It gives the broth such a nice color. I actually save all my onion skins in the freezer for when I make broth. I do the same with my celery tops and bottoms.

We are getting huge amounts of rain in East Central Texas so ever uh thing is pollinating maximumly. Honey and tea is good but this is Vicks Vaporub and Neti pot time.
Hi, O Yes the pigs are loving their food, no waste no more. Don't you just love pigs? just wondering is hop being picked on at night she seems to be hiding under the table when you open the door in the morning. Well so far all the animals are so happy just the garden to do may get that done before the road is open. Then up go the barn waiting to see how it all go. Love it all you be safe. :-)

You are Aa hard working man as a hard working family and I admire you and your family l can not wait to watch your barn building.
Clipping her LEG? lol
That one had me giggling.
Just stumbled upon your channel and have subscribed. I love how your videos always end up in the kitchen. What great memories you're creating for your daughter!
I really needed to hear your message about nature not rushing. Thank you for that!
Would love to know how you made your soil block maker. It looks like it makes things so much easier.
I would TOO!
We have a video of making it last year
@@LumnahAcres That's why I wish people would number their videos so we could find them when need be. Would save us a ton of time???? OR tell us the name of the video!
Lumnah Acres what video is how to build those soil growing blocks? I can’t find it, like looking for a needle in a hay stack.
Moose says He wants you and the little Princess to feel lots better real soon! 'Cause we all need lots of. attention!
I hope you get to feeling better my friend God bless you and your family
That seed mat is a game changer for me too. Presprouting pepper seeds and tomatoes went well it cut the time by weeks for the peppers to grow and a week for tomatoes. Beets can be presprouted as well as peas fall types.
My hubby likes you giant soil block maker. Now to get him to make us one. No more collecting used plant pots for growing our veggie starts.
I have never heard of soil blocks till I started watching you. They are very interesting. 😊
when you get Willow's birth area ready (you need to get it done it is making me nervous she is going to drop and you won't be ready) the bucket needs to be attached to the wall to keep the babies out of it (they do drown in buckets which is why it needs hooking up) you need lubricant in case you have problems and one of you has to assist, iodine to get their umbilical cords clean and keep bacteria away, molasses or something like that for when Willow is in labour and see needs a boost even for after the birth if she is tired - and Hopes sleeping box needs to go back in as Weed em and Reap have something similar for their baby goats to keep them warm - good luck I really enjoy your video's and wait for 10:30-11:30 pm New Zealand time for one each day
The ducks are like an alarm system they talking and kwak when there is someone with the chickens . 👍🏻 the Pigs are great and cute 👍🏻
Get a couple of geese they'll protect chucks too.
Thank you AL for sharing your video homestead chicken farmer garden on UA-cam 👨👩👧👸👕👓🐐🐩🐕🐈🐔🐓🐤🐖🌱🏡🎥👍👍👍
Hope you feel better soon. I'm doing the same thing as you. We've had so much rain, everything is blooming.
I did and am doing the same thing with allergies this year! The pine pollen has been terrible here in the Hocking Hills of Ohio. And you hate taking allergy meds because they slow you down BUT! Hope you feel better soon! Thanks for sharing.
I love the way the pigs 🐷 sound when they eat and drink 😏
🌈🌻happy Mother’s Day Gina & Willow maybe she will have her babies on mother’s day 🌈❤️
Al I just love your music choices! I know that I’ve been binge watching too many of your older videos when I start humming the music throughout the day Lol 😆
Seriously though great job with your editing and I admire your commitment to giving us such a long video almost daily. I don’t think most people realize how much work goes into that and in addition to your projects and daily chores I’m sure it’s too much sometimes. Just know that it is appreciated :-)
Gina Cota Here, here, well said!!
Thank you.
I love those soil blocks
Oh, my, it has been so obvious all along... Figaro has been eating all the Kelp!!! 😃
Whatching from Brazil! 😘😎
Put those garlic and onion skins in your broth to cook up with your bones. It add quercetin to your broth! Also, add a splash of apple cider vinegar to the water, it helps extract more calcium from the bones.
Mild and Spicy (sausage) are great names for the piglets.
Leave those skins on the onion for your broth! It gives the broth such a nice color. I actually save all my onion skins in the freezer for when I make broth. I do the same with my celery tops and bottoms.
I can’t wait to see your new barn...and now I’m on baby goats watch lol 😂
Al, you are one busy guy. That's like a classic date square.........haven't had one of them since the 1970s.
Ok, I need to know where you got that dragon?
Oh my gosh so awesome right?! Lol
I definitely need a dragon for my Instant Pot.
Found it: www.amazon.com/dp/B07MHTQFC5/

Can you make a video on the small soil block maker?
Yes I would like to make one of these myself. Love your videos!
Hope you start to feel better! Those bars looked good. Have a great weekend!
Do you ever share your annual or monthly budget there on how much it costs to live on your homestead? I think it would be educational. Enjoying your channel..What year did you begin homesteading? Can you link your first video below so we can watch it? How did you leave your 9 to 5 job? Will your wife quit her job, too? I live in Wisconsin & think the weather there is much more snow and cold than here!? Please keep cooking Mr Homesteader, I love watching you cook!!! So much fresh and from scratch! What a blessing for your family!!!😂
Thank YOU !!! You and Family and Farm Critters Always starts my day and bring such a smile to start my day ! Debra In California 🌷♥️🌷
the crazy white chicken is one of my favorites nowadays. Right up there with Moose and Figaro .... I love this channel.
Figaro's on top of the goat's door trying to figure everything out. That's a really nice wooden contraption you have for making holes to put your plants in, did you make it? That looks like a tasty jug of broth you just can't beat homemade anything. Hope is very independent to be the new kid on the block and I like that about her. Well here's hoping you feel better soon Al.
