The 2024 Mercedes-AMG S63 E Performance packs a punch like no other S63 that has come before it. With the assistance of electric motors, it achieves 791 horsepower and 1,055 lb ft of torque from it’s V8. All of that wrapped up neatly in a limousine package.
But, it’s not without rival. Audi has the already very established S8, and BMW has their new i7 M70. James and Thomas take the S63 for a drive, and then meet the Audi and BMW for a final showdown at the strip. We hope you enjoy the episode! Subscribe!

In german speaking countries AMG is often jokingly called "Adieu Mein Geld", which roughly translates to "Goodbye My Money". And that is very true again with this new S63.

Not quite. The I7 is 2808kg, my Suzuki weighs about 900kg and the Austin is around 600kg. No I don’t drive around in heavy cars but with a combined weight of around 1500kg the I7 is very close to double both of my cars combined, or to put it another way, nearly 5x my Austin’s curb weight.

Mercedes can use CATL 500 wh/kg semi solid NCM prismatic cells for s63 s e's battery pack and yasa ultra power dense electric axial flux motors to be fitted between the engine and transmission.if they do these simple things 2027 s63 s e will weigh 2250 kg din with 15 kwh battery pack and 4 liter v8 plus 1 yasa axial flux motor between the engine and gearbox and 850 ps and 1400 nm of torque.if any one is from mercedes amg please read my comment and do it exactly like i said you will not regret it

Ill give the S Class a pass on weight way before I give one to the M5. An S Class is supposed to be the flagship land yacht. it's not really meant to be sporty or agile. Its supposed to be luxurious as hell and still be fast as fuck, which it is. The M5 is a mid size and has historically been way more sporty and agile than most AMGs.
Oh no abel doesnt give the weight pass to the m5!!!
And even with its long wheel base and opulent luxury it's still just a hundred kg heavier than the m5

Totally agree, its inline with what the S Class is historically supposed to be seen as in the eyes of consumers compared to the M5 which isn't.
What you all don’t realize is the E63 hybrid (the m5 competitor) will be about the same weight. So no Mercedes DOESNT get a pass! A 4800 lb 4 cylinder C class which is a 3 series competitor, not 5 series.
Mercedes AMG is back with E Performance on their AMG line. They have taken the lead in performance.

eh, not that shocking. previous gen started at 150k USD and this new one starts at 180k USD. 200k is with options added on btw. a fully spec 2018 S63 amg back then would run you close to 180 grand before tax.
mind you, this new S63 has WAY more technology in it then the previous gen S63 which drives the price a lot higher for MSRP. and more standard features

nope, different headlight and tailight design for the S class. especially at night time from the front and rear its very easy to tell apart the new C class and S class.
