the thing that i like most about centaura is how it depicts war, its not all glory and music and heroic charges, its people screaming for their lifes and going deaf at the sound of artillery, the fact that on the town map there is a civilian girl crying in a corner during the battle shows you what the game is trying to get across to the player, it isnt trying to glorify war it is trying to make war despicable, disgusting and horrifying, i also do love the sound design a lot.
Fun fact to those who didn’t know: Centaura is a prequel to another game that skit reviews went over: Dead Ahead. In fact, Centaura was made by the same person who also made Dead Ahead. Sadly for me and a bunch of other fans though, Dead Ahead ceased development before it could get out its final update, in favor of Centaura. God I miss that game :(
I believe that the killfeed doesn't need work as it has a poetic portrait of the anti-war message this game has. True, seeing all the deaths happening in just a few seconds was surprising and kill feed would especially be filled when an artillery bombardment happens.

I once learned more about the lore of Centaura and Dead Ahead, according to Centaura, there was a Antarean family known as the House of Tau, basically Kalvin Tau was creating an empire of Antares and had two children, Aran Tau and Andrew Tau, he eventually died during the Centauran war due to health complications and his son, Aran took over, he put his children into the military. Aran's known children was Maya and Kaden. Maya was the firstborn child to Aran and was kinda mean to Kaden, she would constantly bully her younger brother just to be in line to the Antarean Throne and was known to marry a Corvun following the success of conquering Cetus. She seemed to have joined the Navy with interest starting from ensign and flying up the ranks to captain which Aran seem to be skeptical about her choices, during the Riann campaign she died to a Riann fighter strafe in 1938 (lore wise), Aran started to mourn but Kaden seemed to be okay with the loss without any negative expressions because of witnessing the horrors of war on land. Kaden was the youngest child in the Tau Family, Kaden can be usually seen as the least evil member of the Tau family, he was basically the first son to Aran Tau and was basically in line of his throne which because of this, he got bullied by Maya due to her jealousy. Although Kaden didn't seem to mind to be a future king, Aran Tau thought that by putting relatives into military and politics, they would be more loyal and simp for the Tau family, Maya seemed to join the navy without hesitation while Kaden would be coerced to join the Army. During his deployment, he was basically a Company Commander where he witnessed his company all get wiped out, he'd even witness the Antareans committing pretty bad stuff to the Rianns for putting up very hard resistance and killing Maya Tau. After the war in Centaura, Kaden was classified as a seasoned veteran During events of Dead Ahead, Antares was canonically losing the war and now Orion troops are pouring out on land, Kaden would soon surrender with his army which inspired many troops of Antares to follow suit, some were even accepted to assist with the Orion Army. Kaden would find Aran Tau who got captured in 1961 lore-wise, who would then be executed for being responsible for the war. Aran's wife would be spared but died during imprisonment, while Andrew (brother of Aran Tau) was spared and pardoned under request by Kaden Tau. Kaden would become emperor as a title but his PTSD and depression from the wars he fought and wasn't ready to become emperor made him commit suicide, leaving a note that read: "Mankind will not change." he was then being succeeded by Andrew Tau, the status of the family likely had been concluded and probably ended.
Fun fact Maya Tau was considered so controversial in the community that Classic (the developer of Centaura and DA) actually considered removing her entirely from the lore, eventually going back on that decision to probably rewrite her character and probably give her a more happy ending rather than the fate she suffered in the Annulus Sea in 1938 That's up to ambiguous belief if he does decide to rewrite her character or just erase her entirely, but hey ho Update; yep, This aged like cheese (aka Maya Tau has been excised / removed from the lore)
Honestly, since this game plays out in the dead ahead universe. It just goes to show the difference between the army and the navy. In the navy you sail around fight sum other ships and yay after a year you‘re back home. Not only is the Centaura-Dead Ahead universe pretty dark under the surface, the game does an excellent job portraying; especially to Roblox, a platform with so many impressionable kids; that war isn’t like how it is in movies or games, World War 1 and World War 2 for instance had more than 100 million people around the globe meet ends in some of the most grizzly ways possible that is barely covered in movies and games, and survivors were left scarred for the rest of their lives

Capri Valley is a bloodbath. I once was part of a pretty organised public server with actual communication and tactic. We had 2 officer leading 2 platoons and we all agreed to either form lines and defend the trench or organise a charge to destroy the enemy trenches. This went on for about 50 minutes until we got overran by the cetans. We were on our last defense UNTIL...By some miracle we captured the objectives one by one and we won...75 minutes and 6000+ deaths later...we defeated the cetans... (i also love how bad the artillery is, the entire time our own artillery kept destroying our team and not the enemy. There was one barrage in particular in wich our entire team died except 3 guys including me)
Grenadiers are extremely useful at Capri Valley when pushing the final point, since players like to hide at the entrance of the trench, you can throw your grenades in to quickly clear a path and cap the point
The idea of a grim past is not one that has been unused. Centuara, however takes it to the extream. They decided to show a world as brutal, if not more, as the one we already experienced. However, it uses that to its advantage, and shows how truly horrific war truly is. When skit said that you play as "A nameless cog in the war machine" it shows how truly pointless everything was. When the end of the battle is over, and that black screen shows, you sit there, and cannot help but feel that everything you just did, win or loss, was pointless. It does not show a flashy victory screen, or ghost saying that you will do better the next time. You cannot help but feel empty. The only thing you will likely remember is the amount of dead. That is why I love this game. It does not tell you what you did was heroic. It only reminds you of the amount of people that died for a cause you simply know nothing about, and likely, neither did the young men who fought in the first world war. That is why it was such a good idea to set the game in an alternate universe. You do not know why you are there. It's only if you look deep through the lore that you will at least have some context, however you still will not understand the purpose of the sacrifices the people around you made. War is a hellish, tragic waste of human life. And it takes guts to portray it as it truly is, and that is why Centuara is one of the best games on roblox.
You can actually go deaf in the game, an artillery can land far enough that it wont hurt you, but close enough for audio to be replaced as endless ringing.
Fun fact: centaura somehow counts as a horror game and theres 2 easter eggs on the blackton map The 1st can be easily found as theres a man crying over his dead wife body in one of the alleyways and the 2nd one is near the corvus spawn and when you enter the alleyway on the right you can see a dead civilian and behind some crates in the corner theres a child hiding behind the crates and will interact if you get too close to her Also you could kill her but it counted as a war crime and that gave centaura its 1st ban Now you cant kill her
I remember playing for the first time, & while on the Capri Valley map I was witness to a group of both enemies & allies getting set on fire. All of the men set ablaze screamed & shrieked like damned souls for about half a minute before artillery came again and left me deaf for the rest of the match :/
I absolutely love the weaponry of this game. I like it a lot in comparison to other semi realistic historical shooters on roblox, such as airship assault. The weapons are good, the world is good, the gunplay is good. It just needs fleshed out a bit.
The weapons are annoying to aim because if you zoom in you etheir have to use the very shacky iron sights or use third person and have your crosshair on the corner of your screen for some reason.
I actually like that you can never see when, where, how, or really any info at all on who killed you. It's extremely realistic, on top of just outright preventing you from exposing the enemy's position to your friends after you're killed or just outright going back there yourself, and sets in the reality that in war, you're never gonna see it hit you. Like... ever. You're gonna go down, and boom, dead. And unless your friends have experience or general understanding of ballistics, you'll be sad to find that they likely won't either. But that's war... and war never changes.
great vid! I love how you not only explained the lore, but also explained the gameplay!!! I noticed a smaller copycat channel of yours but i have to say, I like your content a lot more!
Caprey Valley is pure hell on Centaura. Constanty artillery, shots going off, screaming people and chaos, a lot of it. But i do have 2 interesting stories to the battle. Once when i joined a big server it was CV (short for Caprey Valley), and it was 30 minutes in with around 4500 dead. Our team Corvus had A and B, Cetus had E and D. C was being contested left and right. I was in there for a total time of 15 minutes before leaving. In all that time, we captured C and started contesting D. Got the dead to around 9000, basically doubling the casualites in half the time. And on top of all that. 14 minutes to take point D, only to lose it in 1 minutes back to having C contested. The 2nd story happened to one friend of mine who started on CV also and it was a big server. He only sent us a screenshot of him, being 67 minutes in battle, and it was around 15 000 dead if im sure. Couldve been more but im sure it was 15 000 atleast. It most likely was the longest fight of his life.
I love how the Miras "miscommunication" is that the Cetans told the crew that flares would be used. Not whether they were enemy or friendly. Just that they would be there.
Great vid skit❤ You should definitely review Northwind next its getting a huge update on the 22nd of december and they will add a huge new map and a naval system
Now that it’s been half a year, 6 new maps have been released! I would definitely do a part two as the game has changed so much, with so much more to come!
I just noticed but i think that Centaura and Dead Ahead (wich are in the same universe) took aspiration fron the strangereal universe from the ace combat series since 1:the form of the world we know never formed.2: theres is not a single nation from our world (ik that some country in both games on roblox make allusion from real countrys but you know what i mean) and 3 both the biggest country from both the ace combat series and the roblox games are pretty much at the same place on both world maps of each games. If you want to fact check me go ahead.
My biggest gripes with the game are how the Artillery can't be hidden from at all, THE CORNER PEAKING (being able to 3rd person), and the fact that Gridlock lasts for too long, and the other maps last for too little. Gridlock is my least favorite, since it's just too open and there's too much corner peaking potential from across the map. Otherwise my first experience was fun. Even "rp'd" a little with a few random soldiers, talking about how we wanted to go home. One of them died in front of me. Funny, and tragic.
11:32 i love the fact that people playing centaura are funny like this scene where people are fighting because theres a femboy this is what i love about centaura there are people who act as officers like strengthen morale of people in their team and sometimes funny things happen
The purpose of the simplistic killfeed is to show exactly how much death happens in war. Without details like weapons used or manner of death etc. It attempts to resensitize us, the players, to the sheer scale of death caused by wars.
Honestly I really like centura not just because of the brutality of it (because let’s be honest, now everyone’s doing that and it’s no longer unique) but because it’s actually unique in the lore. Like, yeah it’s a ww1 game, but it’s super interesting seeing the world building and settings. Like, for example, the completely unique propaganda posters on maps. It’s just so cool
I can tell that the devs watched this video, because nearly every flaw you talked about was addressed in the Southern Frontier update just a couple days ago. Lag spikes are gone, killfeed has teams (Idk about weapons though), artillery has been nerfed, and with the new maps, wirecutters actually have a purpose!!!
The new update with the Antares front is very Cool with the 2 new maps . Btw one time during the capri valley map i played a game during 3h00 with 15000 deaths (at the end i was brainwashed)😥💀

The Planet Forma is btw. much bigger than our Earth. From the Wiki. Forma Forma is the planet in which the events of Centaura takes place on, the solar system is the same as the real world, but Forma takes the place of earth. Forma is 11.8 times larger than Earth in terms of volume, however its contents is less dense than Earth, thus possess a similar gravity to earth. The Radius is 14500 km our 9100 miles that is 2.3x bigger than our Earth.

@@SkitGaming and if they did then why in the gameplay doesn’t show antares conducting it’s ground operations when it intervene on that year when Corvus fought in gridlock???
Some similarities from the Centaura lore to the real world: 1. It is? able to buff movement speed
I think the crowd yell happens when a bunch of people sprint and doesnt have to do with the whistle
There was one barrage in particular in wich our entire team died except 3 guys including me)
Centaura is one of the best game that i ever played on roblox. It really depicts the war and the lore is amazing!
*Cough* Warhammer 40k
You can actually go deaf in the game, an artillery can land far enough that it wont hurt you, but close enough for audio to be replaced as endless ringing.
This is his best review comments yet. Keep it up. You are very entertaining.
Frontlines: Karelia made the killfeed better so you can see the teams now.
9:50 the whistle if you use it with a big group of people makes them all run faster and start doing a Viking war cry
didn’t expect skit to review this out of all games
9:54 The whistle also makes nearby friendlies yell like a bayonet charge
Fun fact: centaura somehow counts as a horror game and theres 2 easter eggs on the blackton map
The 1st can be easily found as theres a man crying over his dead wife body in one of the alleyways and the 2nd one is near the corvus spawn and when you enter the alleyway on the right you can see a dead civilian and behind some crates in the corner theres a child hiding behind the crates and will interact if you get too close to her
Also you could kill her but it counted as a war crime and that gave centaura its 1st ban
Now you cant kill her
It's so cool I love how your voice is muffled when wearing the gas mask
I remember playing for the first time, & while on the Capri Valley map I was witness to a group of both enemies & allies getting set on fire. All of the men set ablaze screamed & shrieked like damned souls for about half a minute before artillery came again and left me deaf for the rest of the match :/
I absolutely love the weaponry of this game. I like it a lot in comparison to other semi realistic historical shooters on roblox, such as airship assault. The weapons are good, the world is good, the gunplay is good. It just needs fleshed out a bit.
I would like it if AA had a more complex story aside from the things you can derive from the weapon descriptions
The weapons are annoying to aim because if you zoom in you etheir have to use the very shacky iron sights or use third person and have your crosshair on the corner of your screen for some reason.
And everything is hitscan making it easy to hit a fast moving target.
As a centaur a gamer, i can confirm that we are not mentally sane after a few hours playing capri valley
Wdym, Capri Valley is the bread and butter of thiss game
I agree tho the arty is insane
oh look a centaur
Me waiting entire bloodlines just for my team to get one point just to immediately be sent to square one (how did I get here)
everyone's talking about the video but every time skit does a sponsorship i watch the whole ad it never dissappoints lmao
This game has LORE? Can't believe i almost missed this...
great vid! I love how you not only explained the lore, but also explained the gameplay!!! I noticed a smaller copycat channel of yours but i have to say, I like your content a lot more!
0:26 imagine this is canon.
Indeed 🤔🧐
Thanks!
I swear I never seen a Gridlock match end, when Gridlock finally has a winner I'll probably have children and grandchildren aleardy
i love this game with all my heart, but dead ahead will always have a special place on my heart
Same creators same universe same nations same endless cycle of bloodshed and war just on different fronts
Dead Ahead will forever remain a classic. Made so many great memories when it had full servers. Man I miss it...
Gridlock is probably the only ww1 game out there that has actual trench warfare accurately represented.
Eh, not really. To my knowledge Trench warfare was more attrition based this just puts you in the absolute thickest of the action.
And the trenches are way too close together and can’t be damaged at all.
War is hell.
Literally.
Probably even worse than hell itself
I love how the Miras "miscommunication" is that the Cetans told the crew that flares would be used. Not whether they were enemy or friendly. Just that they would be there.
Great vid skit❤ You should definitely review Northwind next its getting a huge update on the 22nd of december and they will add a huge new map and a naval system
Now that it’s been half a year, 6 new maps have been released! I would definitely do a part two as the game has changed so much, with so much more to come!
u know the game is good when a match last atleast an hour and deaths count reaches a number of 1k even in the shortest match.
11:21 “Ayo bro that’s a femboy”
Average chat message right there
Bery cpol
I've been a lurker here for a while now and I gotta say it's nice to see you almost hit 40k
Fun fact: the armored car can be killed with flametrhowers, making the most despair filled screams
Why are your vids so well made? Also great sponsor video!
12:59 Random statement here but I like to use them as it gives us the ability to open up extra cover
Isn’t the Antares Empire from dead ahead?
Yeah this is a prequel
This is when and how Antares got so big in Dead Ahead
there is a HUGE update coming soon adding the souther border, YOU HAVE TO REVIEWE IT AGAIN LATER
Heres the thing. The players always obey the whistle. They cant resist.
I just noticed but i think that Centaura and Dead Ahead (wich are in the same universe) took aspiration fron the strangereal universe from the ace combat series since
1:the form of the world we know never formed.2: theres is not a single nation from our world (ik that some country in both games on roblox make allusion from real countrys but you know what i mean) and 3 both the biggest country from both the ace combat series and the roblox games are pretty much at the same place on both world maps of each games.
I remember when it rained shells 24/7, never stopped. probably a bug. It was really fun, couldn't go anywhere without being shelled.
By far the most underated youtuber ive seen so far
11:32 i love the fact that people playing centaura are funny like this scene where people are fighting because theres a femboy this is what i love about centaura there are people who act as officers like strengthen morale of people in their team and sometimes funny things happen
7:49 poor chap got launched into the air
The purpose of the simplistic killfeed is to show exactly how much death happens in war. Without details like weapons used or manner of death etc. It attempts to resensitize us, the players, to the sheer scale of death caused by wars.
Corvus numba 1!! Go home cetan!!!
Noe u decided to kill a child by ripping off her skin and sacrificed her to ur "god"
Plus u guys stole our land and u had a bery powerful empire behind you!! (Very similar to WW1 Serbia and Russia)
You should do another review on the game now that it's grown..
my friend introduced me to centaura yesterday. i play full volume blasting it into my ears for immersion
Artillery is still super op and also Motars still are strong.
The new update with the Antares front is very Cool with the 2 new maps . Btw one time during the capri valley map i played a game during 3h00 with 15000 deaths (at the end i was brainwashed)😥💀
6:48 armored cars can be destroyed by flamethowers
Hard to do in practice because cars have aimbot.
I know the creator of the game itself, and he is a nice guy. He's been doing great so far, and he'll do even better in the future.
ClassicMasterNoob never dies!
"Capri Valley is the most deadliest battle"
Ascendēns Forest: You sure about that?
this battle sometimes average up to 1 death every second and i've already seen a 100 deaths per minutes
@@skibidi_adolf_hitleryesterday I saw a battle with 100 deaths every thirty seconds at its deadliest. Surprisingly it went from Aquila winning to Antares winning to Aquila winning ecentuall
served in the antares navy against the orions. Ive been on capital ships and flewn their torpedo bombers. I landed on those islands, atoll. ive seen things you people can never imagine. now i am sent to the fields of cetus. and all those moments will be lost in time. like, tears in rain.
When the Southern Front update comes will you review that?
The Planet Forma is btw. much bigger than our Earth.
From the Wiki. Forma
Forma is the planet in which the events of Centaura takes place on, the solar system is the same as the real world, but Forma takes the place of earth.
Forma is 11.8 times larger than Earth in terms of volume, however its contents is less dense than Earth, thus possess a similar gravity to earth.
The Radius is 14500 km our 9100 miles that is 2.3x bigger than our Earth.
If it was less dense this planet should be very flat due to most of the rocks being very light and not strong enough to hold up many mountains.

"Hm yes lets annex this southern corvus, im sure this wont have any long lasting consequences on the world whatsoever."
flametrooper proceeding to not do their job and refusing to take out armored vehicles the entire game:
To be fair
It's a damn armoured car with a .machine gun
@@RandomFurry07 if you ask your teammates to draw its fire or circle strafe it, you're good.
@@Mr_Fugnug you expect that kind of coordination in a Roblox server?
Me doing anything but shooting the enemies
(I think it's funny)
8:39
they added a feature where if you get the cetan theater badge you can pick any gun from cetus corvus or anteres
This was the best video on Roblox i watched in a while
I had a game that lasted over 2 hours and 45 minutes. My teams deaths were 5867. Luckily, our team won.. it felt like a real war.. and the map that I played was Capri Valley 7:06
funfact, you can actually destroy the armored cars with flame throwers... i highly discourage this
At 7:11 when he mention that antares enters the war during 1911 did not happen they entered the war till 1912 they did not stop at Cetus when it got occupied till they continue their campaign on Aquila just to remind you.
Anteres intervened in 1911, Cetus fell in 1912
@@SkitGaming and if they did then why in the gameplay doesn’t show antares conducting it’s ground operations when it intervene on that year when Corvus fought in gridlock???
@@Antares383they invaded in late 1911. capri valley likely occurred in spring or summer

Thanks

13:03 I actually used wirecutters. It was fun to crunch away at the wire.
Some similarities from the Centaura lore to the real world:
1. Tiny Corvus stole land from the Chad Cetans for no reason at all very similar to Franz Fernidand assination and how the Serbians had something to do with it (which they might have)
2. Tiny Corvus is defended and allied with Big Fat Antares similar to Serbia allied with Russia
3. Cetus is very similar to Germany
4. Ripping off a child's limbs with a bayonet and sacrificing her to your "god" is uncool and should be ban!!
Thats how it works in war, sometimes they do unspeakable things for fun or for their religion.
5:53
Cetans proved you wrong with whitemouth they beached a damn ship
Capri field:
*ten hours goes by*
I can’t wait to see a review on King of Battle now that it’s been confirmed.
Skit you should do a skit review on noobs in combat (you better I liked subed and turned on notifications)
They added a new map, a front between the Antares Empire and the Cetans. It has tanks and an extensive wave system...this map normally sees some of the longest battles nowadays. The longest I've been in went on for just over a hour.
Longest battle I've been in was 4 hours
This guy went into the wiki and the discord server to read the lore.
Dead ahead Cinematic universe when?
I have to say this game made me appreciate on having tinnitus I never felt so much peace before
I tried centaura the first time last night as i found it was now console compatable... holy heck thats roblox?!
One thing to say... LONG LIVE THE CETUS EMPIRE!!!!
and it died at 1944 lol
Man I love centaura
