A couple of things to add.... A) Ocean Cay. Unless you are waiting 20 mins ahead of the opening of the Buffet, forget about it. You can wait up to an hour for food. B) The MSC Meraviligia is short on staff for the last 4 months. A lot of social media post (Video and pictures) of long lines at bars.

MSC is building a new buffet restaurant for reg. guests among many other things right now.... with the islands closing currently and until May 22nd. :)
I plan to book excursions online before the cruise starts if for some reason we have to cancel the trip before the date line to pay in full for the cruise will I get money back for these excursions??

MSC food it’s aimed at European palate. If you are use to American food with higher sugar and salt content, you will probably find the food bland. I like the food but then I find the food in America too salty and rich. It’s what you’re use to eating.
Hi! I am planning a cruise on the MSC Meraviglia leaving out of Brooklyn in February 2025. I would like to know how long it takes for the weather to warm up when you leave out of a cold port. Will it still be cold on Day 2 at sea?
There is not a definitive answer to that, typically it should be warm when you are parallel with Virginia and South of that. We traveled in April and that was our experience. However on the way back the wind was cold once we left Bahamas.

We are planning our 1st cruise from Florida (flying to Orlando) in July and we are a family of 4, (two adults and two teens). I wonder if they would accommodate and provide additional beds, so we could all fit. Looking at the cheapest inside rooms, as it is our fist cruise and we won’t spend much time inside and don’t want to break the bank hahah
We usually book with Celebrity and never need a drink package as they offer free water, juices, coffee, and tea in the buffet. If we want an occasional alcoholic beverage or specialty coffee we just pay for the individual drink. This is much more economical for us on Celebrity as we rarely drink alcohol or specialty drinks. Does MSC offer free water, juices and coffee and pay as you go specialty drinks or would we need a drink package for these basic drinks?

So you want her to make a 30 minute video that won’t be clicked on as much and that the majority of us will watch on 2X speed? How about instead of making the world bend to YOUR needs you just either slow down YOUR video playback speed in the setting of the video on the top right hand corner or use the pause, rewind button if you are too inept to realize you can do that?
Too typical of too many large corps, ignore problems and they will go away. I was on an MSC ship a week ago and most went well but we didn't get beach towels or slippers & robes, not a big deal. Service was great in most places but food at the buffet was as good as any family restaurant and was warm at best. The restaurant food was fairly minimal, although the steak was a good size and overcooked. There is lots of money spent on looks but not substance. I also may have had my personal info stolen while attending the theatre. Not much they can do about it but be aware it can happen. They also nickel and dime you to death. The price for the tickets may easily triple with all the addons. Seems everyone is doing that now. I didn't bother with the food at Ocean Cay as I heard it was a ridiculous wait.
As beautiful as the ships looks online, MSC seems to be another version of Carnival. Overly crowded ships and rude people whom you don't want to associate with. It's probably best to pay for a better cruiseline. Thank you for the video.
MSC compromised our safety and security for my wife and myself by giving out our personal information when we reported smoking and drug use right below our balcony from another guest. We had harassing phone calls to our room and harassing visits to our room......inexcusable and unexplainable.....We didn’t expect this and won’t ever sail with them again!!!!!!

As an Australian resident my only chance of being on MSC is going to the US or Europe 😢 I am more of a Celebrity Cruise fan than Royal Carrabian and MSC would be my choice of Mega ship

Gratuities are not mandatory. You can adjust them at the front desk.
I have personally never taken away cruise gratuities but this is good information to know. I will pass it along to my travel clients.

Yeah the packages are optional, you can buy per drink if you want although the packages are pretty fairly priced relatively speaking.

Yes ,they will hold your alcohol till disembarkation. Not sure about the sail off.. Going on the Mereviglia June 4..I will find out then.

That's what most people say about them, service and food are bad.
It's 5,000 people on board, what do you expect. I tend to stick to the smaller fleets. You get what you pay for.

Many cabins will accommodate four passengers.
we had two adjacent cabins that connected with a door. very useful, we traveled with two kids, 4 and 7 year old.

Yes, MSC offers free water, juice and coffee. You will have to pay for bottle water, though. You can buy individual alcoholic beverages too.
