Thank you so much for the informative video. We are going on our first MSC cruise on the Seaside in 3 weeks and so far it seems to be going very smooth. Thanks again
Thanks for updates going on MSC Seaside next month June also going on Amtrak from Washington d.c to Florida. You both have great ideas that help me so much to plan for our vacation Pam&Gus from Maryland
we got their offer of wifi and drink beverage for 2 people and $50 obc for around $400 extra. i guess that was a good deal. we will see in september. this will be our first time cruising msc
very helpful. What is the best place to reserve a room, deck wise (stability), noise wise, quite and peace wise etc. How much luggage u can bring onboard?
Thank you for making such fun and informative videos! Quick question, if I purchase the 2 device and I am charged per person, does that mean we get 4 devices?..
So glad I found your channel, cruising on Seascape May 2023. Great detailed info delivered in a very calm manner :) Love the EXPO's cap, guess where I'm from ;)
Does anyone know if you cruise with MSC if the card you buy for the simulators etc will work beyond the cruise time your own since we cruise a lot with MSC🤷♀️
So how do I do the ala carte?? Do I book that on the ship cause I was going to do the specialty dining package. Can I just make a reservation for the specialty place and do ala carte that way????
TY for you videos! as a solo cruiser, are you allowed to get 2 for 1 deals just for yourself? i realize a day in the thermal suite for 2 people won't make sense, but things like massages or hair/nail situations? in regards to getting the specialty dining package in adv for others; it's $71 for 3 meals of your choice if you pay adv, (only 1 steak house visit per package) but if you buy the the pre fixe meals on board, it could be that price just for 1 venue. If you'd like to deviate from the pre fixe menu for other items NOT on the pre fixe specialty menu, it's half-off the a la carte price, which still makes it cheaper in many regards. all of the SDR menus are available to see online if you're interested to weigh the values out for yourself; but there are some important caveats; the Hibachi does cost extra on the ship, $10 or greater, depending on the level of proteins you select. You also have access to $5 tickets to any of the "cirque" style shows, vs the $12 you pay in adv as a solo resv, or $18 on board. IMO; the sushi pre fixe is not for everyone if you don't like certain things like octopus or hand rolls, so i personally will order a la carte for my sushi night. AND; the mexican SDR and any brunch SDR won't be worth using as your specialty punch card options; both are cheaper WITHOUT the adv specialty dining package which is around $23pp/meal for the 3 SDR options. Mexican is $17.99 for all you can eat anyways, and brunch is WELL below that price from what i've seen as well.
Hi... For the majority of guests who are NOT YAcht master.. Was there waiters around the pool areas to bring drinks to you on your sunbed? I'm noticing on vloggs, that people say there isn't. But they seem to be on the 3 to 4 days cruises and not 7 or more. Do you remember if there was service around the pools on yours ? Thanks ☺️
On the MSC Virtuosa and Euribia, there were plenty of waiters in all public areas of the ship ready to take orders, including round the pools. Apart from at like 4 am.
I do prefer private excursions more but there are times when it is best to go with the cruiseline. By the way, most agents can get you a lower price if the price of the cruise goes down. Cruise lines do not watch for that. They hope you won’t realize that the price went down.
I am new to MSC , so based on my NCL experience i bought there package, the cruise is in a couple of weeks, and i feel like i made a mistake with that considering al there upselling there. Like you said, just a basic choice and besides that pay pay pay. I wont make that mistake again, i hope im wrong, but i think you are right.
Cruise lines never have lower prices than travel agents can get. If they did they would lose too much business. Agents can access any special perks that the cruiseline offers. And travel agents save you a lot of work. Ometimes the price is the same. But agents often have extras. Personally I always give an extra gift as well. Would you rather be on hold with the cruiseline for an hour or have your agent do it?
Our friends are on the MSC Meraviglia right now and stated that they are not providing tissues and also the bed was terribly hard. We are going on the Seascape in Feb and was wondering if you had the same experience.on theat ship.
wow, i didn't know about the "drink of the day"....they never promote that....good to know.....I agree with you on the drink package...i can probably drink one or 2 cocktails a day, so, I don't find the drink package worth it.. I bought the Fun Pass for the arcade and zipline on Seaside ahead of time....for $80 I got $140 worth of play/bowling/zipline/XD interactive cinema.....the only catch is that some of the things like Formula/hockey was not included....but my kid had a blast with the Fun card...Highly recommend getting one for those who have kids.
Yes beach shore excursion on MSC are a ripoff especially in Cozumel. The beaches that they take you to are free beaches. You are paying MSC for the transportation to beach. I suggest renting a car and explore the island yourself the car rental office will give you a map of all the free beaches and once you go to those free beaches you will see the same people from the ship at those beaches. So rent a car and explore the island.
Sorry, but you did NOT hotspot the wifi on an iPhone. Simply impossible on any iPhone. The hotspot feature in iOS only works with a cellular data link. It is automatically disabled once you enter airplane mode.
When I cruised it went like this ....in the day order... Working on my tan with a cold drink always available Into the pool to cool off Steak dinners Hot Tub Cruise the Bars Bedtime .... rockin the ship a bit more
I found it hard to focus on what yall were saying cause the shear number of pockets on his shirt were distracting me... also why must the woman ALWAYS be saying something? Like the single most grating thing in each and every video is her HAVING to say "yeah" "mhmm" and her constantly interrupting the man in the video. Like let him finish his freaking sentence. It's so annoying you lost a viewer!
there was only 3 rooms left for me to pick and if i had known that was the only advantage of Fantastica I would have just got BELLA, im not fussed and also not much choice!!
MSC has one of the worst customer service departments. They are completely clueless, very poorly trained and just have no experience serving US passengers. No 2 agents will give the same information. Even worse neither of them will give you the correct information. Even travel agents simply dread dealing with the MSC agents. Their set-up, forcing passengers to link up credit cards after boarding the ship, nickel and diming mentality for everything, limiting interest package to each device you use individually, mandatory automatic tips etc. are all geared for the non-US market and are just being carried over to the US. The only reason why most US passengers are even sailing MSC is because of their competitive pricing and newer ships. However as soon as the cruising industry fully rebounds I can see them shaping up for the US market or going back to their European Markets. They ae simply horrible with customer service, refunds, etc.
Very true. U get zero empathy from MSC customer service. I mean NONE!!!! However the reason I use them is they r competitively priced. And I suck it up and set the bar very low so I’m not disappointed.
I found customer service to be fine on the MSC ships I've been on. Virtuosa and Euribia. I wouldn't call them nickel and diming. I'd say there's a lot of optional extras you can spend money on if you want. If you don't want you don't have to pay a single penny extra and you can still have a fantastic holiday. About equally as fantastic as if you'd bought some extras.
Booked for next month, I tried your wifi tip on ✈️ mode with Google Pixel and it worked! Thanks!

we always book our excursions outside the ship but they're not for that long. maybe a couple hours. so enough time to get back on the ship
Do you have tips for day tours instead of getting the excursion package from MSC
Thank you for making such fun and informative videos! Quick question, if I purchase the 2 device and I am charged per person, does that mean we get 4 devices?..
Yes, if 2 of you purchase the 2 device plan you'd get 4
Amazing video

Thanks! I'm guessing Montreal! We unfortunately lost the hat when riding on an open air train in Alaska! Need to get another one.
Thanks for the info! How did you use your devices to tether off your mobile phone if you are connected to wifi connection?
We turned the hotspot on of our Android phone and it worked.
I didn’t have a package but was able to iMessage my husband on board and family at home
Went on Norwegian last year, the internet was also only for one device, you have to pay separately per each device.
Really?!? When I was on NCL in Jan/Feb, I was able to switch between my devices.
Does anyone know if you cruise with MSC if the card you buy for the simulators etc will work beyond the cruise time your own since we cruise a lot with MSC🤷♀️
Basic package were u able to text iphone to iphone
What about free wifi do you still keep it on airplane mode if lm from Canada, can l face time my husband daily or will this cost extra
You always should be in Airplane mode on the cruise. I think you can facetime on this ship if you have the wifi plan.
Do you recommend to get the fun pass??
So how do I do the ala carte?? Do I book that on the ship cause I was going to do the specialty dining package. Can I just make a reservation for the specialty place and do ala carte that way????
Hi, I have a question. My mom and I have two separate cabin cabins so if I purchase 2 devices will she be able to use it in her room?
Yes, she can sign on with your credential ... if I remember correctly, it is your cabin number and your birthday.
You can always have your TA call and get the deal for you
TY for you videos! as a solo cruiser, are you allowed to get 2 for 1 deals just for yourself? i realize a day in the thermal suite for 2 people won't make sense, but things like massages or hair/nail situations?

It was a transatlantic in December, so quite cold. I think for that reason it would be hard to judge by ours.
On the MSC Virtuosa and Euribia, there were plenty of waiters in all public areas of the ship ready to take orders, including round the pools. Apart from at like 4 am.
i ve booked on MSC usa site , this was cheaper than MSC UK site. but doesnt include tips and gratuities but still cheaper than UK site,..

I hope you realized you can cancel any packages bought until the start of the cruise without penalty.

That’s not saving money! They charge less for tickets and then start building up on each item
Does anyone know if TikTok functions well on the lowest internet package?

Exactly. It was so annoying. They were talking to the audience and not to each other so why all the um hmmm, right, yes. Blah, blah.
I always pic Fantastica. I like to pic my room.
the representative gave me fantastica but i didn’t know i can choose my room
there was only 3 rooms left for me to pick and if i had known that was the only advantage of Fantastica I would have just got BELLA, im not fussed and also not much choice!!
