How refreshing your video was. A lot of people whine about MSC. I have been cruising since the 70s and I’ve been on too many cruises to count. And MSC has always been great.
We just did our first cruise last month with MSC on the world europa, it was brilliant! All your tips hit the nail on the head, thankfully we did everything you’ve mentioned. The only thing we didn’t like was how busy the ship was, nothing can prepare you for it if you haven’t cruised before! Another top tip, if you have the premium extra package, you still get charged for using the minibar in your cabin, and if you order beers from room service, which is really cheeky! So go down to the bar and order a few beers to go!
I think it would be a really great idea if you posted the daily plans like the daily activity from morning to night at MSC offers so your clientele who watch your videos and see everything that's offered from morning to night what do you think
Thanks for the tips... Quick Question, How do you know what theme parties to pack for? Is there a way to find out what's the program look like before your cruise? Taking a weekend cruise to Ocean cay soon and wanted to make sure we pack what we need. Thanks again
Great question. Not super easily. The best way is to try and join a Facebook group of a similar sailing before yours and they will let you know or Google the daily event for dates leading up to yours.
Any word if MSC is ever going to expand out to the West Coast/Alaska? (I live in San Diego so being able to drive to the port is SO beneficial, even IF it’s Long Beach/San Pedro)
Hello 👋 , watching all the videos about the SEASCAPE .., we are sailing on May 21 , for my parents 50th anniversary!! You mentioned wrist bands .. but where do you get them ? Or do have you have to purchase them ? Before hand ? On the ship ? Thanks !
Thanks for watching. Hope you have a blast. If you are in the yacht club you get them for free. If not you can purchase them on seascape when you embark. They are 19.99. Nice and fun but not worth 20 bucks in my opinion.
@@ByteSizeCruises thanks for answering!! I was planning to get 6 of them for our group .. 😳but at 20$ each , they all will go with cards 🤣 A personal question, for Me , When I am on vacation , I tend not don’t wear long pants , formal attire, sport jacket , etc … (vacation mode) I always bring swim shorts , dress shorts , exercise clothes,a pair of jeans , v neck shirts , button down shirts , shirts with collars , workout sneakers , crocs , and maybe some shoes .. I usually tend to avoid dressing up or going to places where I have to dress up to just eat .. how will I do ? Is it ok on this cruise ?
Tip 6 food. Differs from my first and last msc cruise. It was cheap nadty and very average. The only red meat we saw was offerred as a upgrade and they hassled us for two nights. Ohvthere was carvery meat but it was terible. Fat and gristle. Nothing fancy. Basic and it was all ordinary..
Thanks for your video! You recommended pre- booking everything but also to book specialty dining on the ship. Would you say that pre booking a dining package is not needed until you get on board?
I would def buy the dining package ahead of time. That will def be more money on the ship and then just book the actual days and times day 1. Once you see when all the shows are etc
Another helpful one thank you!🙏🏽 I didn’t know if I should book excursions with MSC or a private company (I was worried about going private-how would I know who’s legit, etc ). Good to know I can just book with the cruise
Keep in mind that if you book with a company other than the cruise line that there ship w WILL NOT WAIT for you if you are delayed getting back to the port. If too book through cruise line there’s no chance of being left behind.
Booked through cruise ship for excursions. Ship had to wait for our group to get back even though we were very late. Brought crew with us back to ship.
No cruise line operates excursions. All are other providers. Usually same excursion can be booked on wharf and you join same buses as the cruise oeople who pay twice as much. Tye story tyey wait is a lie to get you to book. Just ensure you are back!!
@@paulgerrard9227 true that they do not operate the excursions. They sell outside vendors but they do wait for you if you book through the line. This is the only way they can track where passengers are and they absolutely will wait if you are running late. If there is a major issue or some tragedy they will arrange transport as well. I have seen it first hand and with clients several times sadly. But you are correct. You can book independently for much cheaper and just get your butt back to the ship On time
From what I could tell on the app; they suggested going to the specialty dining restaurant you wish to reserve at the day of embarkation and reserve with a staff member there.
John, so whats up with the tipping? Is it mandatory or do you tip as you go? If mandatory can you pay it upfront? Can you pay it with your on-board credit? Also, do you have to have credit card registered or can you just use cash? Nothing is really clear and our cruise is coming up. Thanks
There are daily gratuities that come up on your account daily. You can certainly pay them upfront or go to guest services and ask if you can just tip yourself and they will remove them. You can absolutely use cash as well. You cannot use on board credit for gratuities.
I have a question. Did you travel only with 8kg luggage or 23 kilos? We are flying from Germany to Miami and stay there for 4 nights. Is it possible to get inside the ship with the big luggage? I know they scan your luggage while boarding and in the big luggage there are more liquid stuff like shampoo etc.. did you see guests travel with the big luggage too?
I have the Easy plus package it come with the free drinks and free Wi-Fi does that include in Sex on the beach ? Does that include alcohol drinks like henny shots
@@ByteSizeCruises thank you because I have the easy plus package 🙏 and okay so the sex on the beach is included in the Easy Plus Package oh ok that’s cool . That’s my favorite drink that’s why I had asked and I don’t have to pay out of pocket? Now if I want Hennessy shots I would have to upgrade to the Premium Package
@@johnysiamoore7563 you don’t have to upgrade. The package covers drinks or shots up to x dollars. If it’s more they would just charge you the difference. So if it covers up to 10 and it’s 12. It would be 2 bucks
@@ByteSizeCruises That is actually not true. If you order a drink that is above your package max say $10 but you order a $15 drink you will be charged $15. I’ve heard this on multiple videos and read it as well. Was surprised to learn this, after having sailed on NCL and using their drink package.
I am on Seascape right now and although it’s not stated anywhere I met some ppl that brought a 12pk of sodas. Bring a reusable water bottle and refill at the buffet.
I don't get the Americans with their bad reviwes. I know hearing different languages suddenly brings realization that... well...other languages do exist. I don't get the whining about the food - the food is mostly Medditerranian/Italian (duh, this is an Italian company!) and Europeans are just fine with it. And yes, they also serve hamburgers for the Americans, lol. If you don't like MSC, go to the shitty Carnival and enjoy it all you can! No one is forcing you to "survive" on a beautiful ship!

Nothing definitive but it has to be a matter of time. They have 8 new ships coming in the next five years with MSC and their newer luxury brand.
