With all the fake lipsynced crap out now this is so great to see. Still at the top of their game! One of the best live rock bands ever. Their live performances just smoke the radio version and showcase how much talent they have. Bravo!!!
Even at this time it was bad dude.. He's been down to only one ear now for the last 20 years .. he wears some special earbuds now that help him like he is in this video... but really he should be looking into stem cell treatment for this cause that's what cured Dana Whites minears disease
Sounds phenomenal! Even though Huey Lewis and the News were a huge part of the 80’s, their actual sound is Timeless. It stands the test of time. Not many do. Love these guys!
Comment j'aurais adoré être là ce jour de concert. Je n'ai jamais vu Huey en concert et pourtant je le suis musicalement depuis SPORTS... et ses derniers morceaux sont juste sublimes...
i didnt think they could get better these new songs are so damn good!!!!! i cant wait for the album!!!! love how they sound more bluesy than before!!! love the guitar work!
Feel so bad for Huey Lewis - now that he has Meniere's disease he is done performing. So this is one of the last of the 7 songs they developed and recorded before he had to stop due to his loss of hearing. Will miss his brand of music and his band.
A hometown friend of mine got married last year to a fantastic songwriter and all around musician who started back in the 60s with a band called Clover, in which Huey was the front man. (I won't drop his name here, but he's best known for writing Jenny 867-5309.) My jaw dropped first time I met him and learned this - couldn't believe I was chatting with a guy who played for 10 years with my all-time, ultimate favourite 80s pop-rock singer! Just as cool, my friend's husband gets a royalty on The Power of Love because Huey remembered the title as a song idea he had tossed around back in the Clover days but never actually wrote. So Huey gives him 10% on the song as a thank you for letting him use the title ... even though titles can't be copyrighted - it was just a gesture of their friendship! (This is all verifiable, btw - I didn't get it from my friend or her husband but from Huey himself in an interview.)
Alex Call?! The guy is a great singer and songwriter! So nice of Huey! *btw both Huey and Sean (HLN's keyboard player all these years) joined Clover in '72 and Clover disbanded in '78 so they were together for around 6 years!
With all due respect to the whole team of Huey Lewis and The News, but this particular guitarist is tragic. He drowned the singer absolutely several times.

He still sounds great, despite his hearing loss. He’s just incredible
That's a nice thought but this is BEFORE the disease robbed him of his hearing. Great new song though.

Saw Clover when I was a kid in Antioch, Ca. Fairgrounds..
@@patdorn4436 Cool! Was that before or after Huey joined? (He was with them just the last couple of years, I think.)

@@christosstamato527 You got it! Super guy, amazing songwriter, and very devoted to making the world a better place.
@@davidjorgensen877 I always knew he's a great talent (from his Clover days)! And happy to know he's all that!

Immer noch der Größte
Love you guys!! Great to see you still performing some!!
Great guitar player
What’s his name? 🎸🔥
He was in the “We Are the World” famous video with all the stars back in the day. Michael Jackson, Ray Charles, to name a few others in it.
I sure do like Huey Lewis, I only wish I could hear him better on this song. He is buried in the mix here.
Four!!!
The Midas touch.
If this song doesnt get your feet moving, I have some bad news: you're dead.
Some of “The News” is missing.
I like him thogh
Killer

I was hoping that someone would have the nerve to be honest.
The guy recording this is standing in front of the guitar players amp, that’s why it’s drowning everyone out.
though
I should kill to see huey Lewis and the news on scene in live... but will never see :-/
His vocals arent.loud enough
Just the iphone to close to the guitar amp.... prob was great in the room, just sayin. Not a true representation of Huey's talent, foreals!
turn the guitar down and vocals up next time
Love me some Huey. But boy trim up those eye brows buddy.
I’m afraid you just too darn loud! 😂
