Thanks for introducing this to me.....I have gone and purchased the Vertical and Horizontal books.....not sure whether to cry or not yet hahah. Thanks again.
Thanks for sharing this. Pujol's instruction books are very much the same. He runs through every imaginable combination of fingerings (left and right hands) in his exercise's. P.S. I studied the Pujol technique with Hector Garcia who was a student of Pujol.
Awesome Rusty!! Yeah the funny thing is so many technique books are very similar! I like quoting something my former professor Bruce Holzman said to me when he overheard myself and some other students talking about different technique books: "There's a lot of good books, what matters is that you practice something every day!"
Thanks Evan for this great exercise! A question: Boudounis writes: "Lift fingers only at the moment when they should change note or position". I noticed that (in first position) you don't lift finger 1 when it doesn't change note (on the low and high F) but you lift finger 2 when it doesn't change note (on the low and high F#). Would it be ok to lift finger 1 too, to have a more fluid fingers movement?
Needed this one! My friend Carlos Serrano just told me about this exercise he also was a student of Rene
