Always a great lesson. I'm an over 60 and have faffed around on guitar for years. I took the decision to take up the classical guitar about a year ago simply because I loved to listen to it. I'm at the stage where I'm trying to learn to sight read as it always seemed to be a bit of a black art! It isn't easy but nothing ever worthwhile is. It takes hard work. I've learned Romanza and La Grima so I'm progressing. I think all Allan's site and instruction is first class
This is surprisingly hard. I have been playing for years but this was actually quite difficult for me. Great breakdown. Very direct, concise and well put together. Thank you!
I seldom comment but. . After over 50 years of playing . This has opened the door for a deeper technique . Thanks, just what I was looking for (new subscriber )
Hey buddy I know you rarely reply to comments but if you happen to see this, you’re such an amazing teacher and you break things down very simply! This was extremely helpful! Thanks mate! And I also wanted to ask you, where did you buy your guitar cameras 0:50 from? What are they called? And are they sold on Amazon?
I am composing virtuoso variations to instruct myself at the right level I'll upload it when I'm done. Just uploaded an opera for solo guitar in spanish if anyone is into the old world style anymore
sir can you make the same video but the right hand other fingers? like with your pinky and the other one ( dont know in englisch) i want to learn with all 4 fingers going fast up and down but i dont knwo really how to do it
I’m not used to resting my thumb on the strings while playing with my fingers. I noticed that you rest your thumb on the string just above the string you are playing. This trips me up trying to play this way. Is this something that I should train myself to do, or is it okay to not rest my thumb on the strings while playing with my I, M,A fingers?
You don't need to practice with metronom to get a great technique. I have a great technique and had an amazing one as well. I never practiced technique with a metronom
Hey there! For more resources on Speed, check out these materials on Scales:

Congratulations
This is a good exercise! :) i like how you have different camera angles, it makes it very clear.
Excellent teaching snippet, Allen. And you even utilized my pops (rest his soul) favorite homily "....don't call me late for dinner"
Just shouting out a big thanks for this lesson.I'm so happy I went from a glacial 55bpms to 68bpm (when I do scales). Thank you Mr M!
I like this guy... very clean
It's amazing the progress that can be made following these exercises. I am also doing this with the thumb. Thank you!
This is by far the best video instruction of placement of right fingers. Thank you.

Hello from Greece. What guitar is this?
Buen ejercicio. 👍
What do I change if i want to use a pick?
Você dá aula por vídeo chamada?
Queria que fosse legendado😐, mas dá para entender,
Muito bom seu vídeo!
I was already aware of preparing the right hand in advance but how about preparing the left hand the same way? Does something speak against it?
Can this technique applicable also to acoustic guitar users?

now I can shred Metallica on a classical guitar.
