  • Опубліковано 16 сер 2024
  • his Fusion 360 tutorial series is for absolute beginners. This will be a multi part series that will cover everything you need to know about drawing 2D in Fusion 360. The overall goal of this series is to teach you the beginner how to draw parts in 2D so you can cut parts efficiently on your Langmuir systems Crossfire Pro CNC Plasma Table.
This video series starts off covering the tools used when measuring parts in the real world, tips, how to draw them out on paper and finally work flow through Fusion.
Part 2 will cover introduction to Fusion 360, understanding the tools and drawing your first part.
As this series evolves you will learn how to get around the program and draw efficiently, extrude parts, make tool paths, adjust cut speeds and pierce times, export your tool paths out to G code and finally on to Firecontrol, the software that comes with your Crossfire CNC plasma table. Finally we will cover cutting out your parts.
If you are patient and willing to take the time to learn, you will easily be able to follow along in this series and before you know it you will be drawing in Fusion 360!
    Enjoy :)

I don't care if it is the most boring, simplistic, explanation of how to use Fusion 360 for beginners- you showed us how to create an object in the most efficient way possible. Thank you.

One Tip. When the numbers are highlighted in blue you do not have to press the backspace key before replacing the number. You can just type your new number. I just saves you a keystroke. Of course, it works either way.

No problem man 🙂👍 I wanted to make the videos that I couldn’t find on UA-cam when I was learning. All the videos I found said they were for beginners but left out a lot of info they just assumed beginners knew. 😂
You will be drawing in 360 in no time 👍 Take care 🙂

Awesome, Thank you, Thank you!! I have been fluent in AutoCAD since 2000 (3 semesters in Community College) with design building Homes and Commercial Buildings with AutoCAD. I have been trying for 1.5 years to figure this 360 program out. Every Video Instructor wants to impress us with advanced tips and tricks, losing me in the 1st 3 minutes and never being able to catch up, that's all BS. It has been VERY FRUSTRATING with NO basic information on this program. You hit the nail on the head with your instructions, BASIC BASIC BASIC to get our confidence up!!
    Thank you again SIR!!!

I really appreciate this series of videos. I like that you relate what you're doing in Fusion 360 directly to the projects you're actually building. Too many CAD tutorials just stay in the theoretical realm, and don't show how the things you're doing in software apply to real world parts.

@4:10, for the line command, you don't have to use backspace, if the length field is blue, just start typing the 4 and / or the tab key to switch between the choices it gives you, like "length or angle" in the case of a line.

Again....... just like the 340 some people with a thumbs up 👍. Just awesome. It’s so great to have somebody explain this at a rate I can understand.... computer guys talk so fast and move on the screen so fast I just can’t keep up and it’s frustrating for them and people like myself..... langmuire would be smart if they put you as a direct link on their website as to how to use fusion 360 for beginners and pay you as people click on. This would only boost people’s interest to see they can learn something they thought they may not be able to do without a computer background.. I would gladly pay for a class like this that I can understand, and doing it in small sessions makes it easier than one long video. Thanks again for helping us Mike. Most of us appreciate it. The 16 with their thumbs down I’m sure will make the class a better video. (RIGHT!! ). I’m sure they will take their own time and try to explain it better 😳

Mike this video was very helpful in getting started with Fusion360. No print function. I was able to Print Screen my design of four 1/4" thick 3" square plates wirh a undersized bearing hole that I drilled out and welded together each pair and finished as flange bearing housing for my shop hot air blower squirrel cage fan. Thanks for being the type of designer, creator, fabricator, and sharer of knowledge that is a joy to watch! Your projects always have me thinking why the compact tractor companies don't make your style of UTV for gathering firewood, managing food plots, land & forest management. Way better than those cheap Massimo/ Coleman's from Tractor Supply..maybe a diesel version next?

Thanks for doing this series in a simple fashion. I'm a long time subscriber of your channel and I nearly missed this. I'm a high school teacher that teaches carpentry. I'm embarrassed to say that I have been doing metalwork with some of my students and the robotics team by hand on a drill press, even though there is a CNC mill across the hall. The simple functions of the new 3D programs are what confused me. I was pretty good on the old 2D versions of AutoCad. ( I searched for the rectangle pattern you showed for over an Hour thinking it was called "array" one night)

    Hey Mike
I just finished your first two tutorials on fusion. I’ve been waiting for some spare time to view them while I could follow along with the fusion program. Like you, I’ve combed UA-cam watching various tutorials trying to get a good entry level explanation and get frustrated as most people take certain knowledge for granted or don’t realize they’re omitting details. I sincerely appreciate you taking the time and making the effort to post this series. You have a fantastic ability to explain things in a practical hands on sense.
As you know from my previous comments, I thoroughly enjoy your content and I especially appreciate any tips, tricks, and techniques you offer. I too am a hobbyist who enjoys fabrication, metal work, wood work, electrical, etc. I own welders, plasma cutter, band saw, and various other metal working tools, however, I don’t have a CNC table. Your use of the CrossFire and now a look into how you make it work for you is very much moving the CrossFire to the top of my “needs” list...
As far as UA-cam and their anti-tutorials “algorithms”, all I can say is that sucks. You put as much work, if not more, into these videos as your others with a fraction of the reward. These tutorial videos are sandwhiched in between your mini pinz videos and have only 10% of the views. That’s not right. Please don’t get discouraged as this series is much appreciated!
As always, keep on keeping on!
    Steve

Do what you can, when you can, and keep at it. That was, still is, my strategy and now I have one. It took me quite a while but I kept at it. You can do it too!

Greetings, you can print that drawing with the measurements and its scale at 1:1 to be able to cut the paper and paste it on the material you want, I do not have a plasma cutter or a 3D printer,
