Not a hinge user…yet. I would love to see a “how to shoot a hinge” tutorial with step by step instructions and slo-mo footage. Have used a wrist strap trigger release forever and been experimenting with a thumb button recently. So what do you say? New instructional video soon?!

@Chris Bee if you do a video tutorial for a "how to", it go a long way in convincing a beginner on purchasing the Ultraview H2. Unless there is some kind of video under product support?
Practice A LOT with a rope (set to your draw length) before you ever put it on your bow and start with it set slow, then when you are comfortable and want to put it on the bow, shoot very close (5yds or so) until you comfortable, the click is there to give you guide to whether or not you are setup correctly, if it goes off early, you or it are not set up correctly !
I love my Hinge and there seem to be some really nice upgrades to this that are very much tempting me. One thing I am really hoping for in the future is a thumb button with some of the ergonomics of the Hinge

I drove out to Lancaster today and bought the Ultraview Hinge 2 in 3 finger stainless version with stainless hunting bracket.
Been playing around with it for last few hrs.
Already loving it!!
I don’t think I would hunt with it.
I like to know when the shot is going to break when drawing back in animal.
I’ll stick to my Carter Wise Choice for Hunting.
But who knows….. I may change my mind and feel confident hunting with it once I get used to it more.
The purpose for buying the UV hinge 2 is for back yard shooting, training, 3D/comp shoots.

I just got this release for Christmas and it is now the best release I have ever shot. I was worried that I would punch myself in the face, however, the design and adjustability of this release has afforded me the opportunity to shoot a new style of release. Of course being just an average joe had to catch that bad boy on sale. This company though truly has made a great product.
I’m county champ in our region in the Uk , I got one of these a week ago and hated it more passionately than Jacob marlow hates indoors !!! However after a couple of thousand arrows it’s absolutely incredible, helps with alignment helps repeatability, tightened groups etc . I’m not paid to comment etc but absolutely recommend it to anyone !!
The only downside if ur in the Uk is the choice of distributor! Wales archery are muppits ! Kevin has been caught many times selling second hand goods as new ! If u can buy from someone reputable

Just got my H2, my first hinge. I am new to archery and after following along with this setup and a section of loop material I got the release setup close enough to go test. It took a little bit more tuning to with the bow to get it close. I must say, I have never been so surprised after a shot went off. Need to tinker and practice with it a ton more, but so far I am liking this release over my other thumb button releases. The large stainless version feels nice as well.

Shot with one the Hinge 2 at Vegas after the rounds, despite not making any adjustments, I love the feel of the release in hands and going through the shot process with this release. I decided to buy a second one, this time being the stainless steel version. Personally I like the stainless steel because of the weight being similar my other favorite I’m currently using.
i shot a carter 2 moons for a while and didnt like the system due to the adjustment wasnt marked. i do like how this is so much more simplified.
Ordered mine immediately after watching this video!! I’ve been wanting one of these and with the new upgrades, I couldn’t wait any longer!! Can’t wait to get it and start practicing with it

Would UV ever consider making a small? I've tried version 1, but I still feel like it's too big. I'm a fairly small female with small hands, and of all the releases that I've tried, the only one that closest fits my hand is the Truball HBC. One of the only releases that come in size small. I've tried releases that are "mini", but the handles feel too skinny, too light, and just doesn't feel nice at all. Just something I hope UV might give a thought about.
You could try Scott hinge. It’s fairly small and the wrist strap holes on the hinge are really small so it would definitely fit you, Let alone anyone. I have average sized hands and it feels perfect.

had the same question before i ordered my v1, it is very complex when they explain it but once u get to shooting it, it is a piece of cake.

Usually setup close on rope and little slow, then dial in, at present I want the click just after I release the thumb, before I anchor, as it seems to be more consistent for me, when I was anchoring and then clicking it seemed to affect the anchor sometimes
Chris, have you guys at UV thought about bringing a back tension release to the Market? I've thought of a hinge, but the thought of punching myself in the face from an accidental discharge while drawing my bow. I do shoot a thumb comfortably. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Love your content brother

Ordered the alum with hunting bracket in alum. If it's everything I hope it is, I'll be ordering the SS with SS bracket as well!

I use them both for different purposes.
Wouldn’t really say one is “better” than the other.
I shoot them both identically, so that’s a plus
I swap between them as I’m shooting. It’s really nice for indoor shooting as whilst one is in the pouch, it gets colder. So I’ll swap and grab the other to have a cold release in my hand 😀

damn, its so hard to get it here in germany without paying 60€ more than its actual price...and its also impossible to check out the size before paying over 300 for a release. makes me so sad we have no store here where to test and buy good stuff like this

Chris...I have three of these now and the one question I have is it okay to put a little blue loctite on the two micro adjust screws? I feel once the set screw is loosened they tend too be a little "too" loose and if you are not careful inserting the allen key they can move on you ever so slightly.

Question, I've never shot any other kind of release except for a strap trigger release. Say you pull back to shoot at a deer and you hear the click. Then the deer walks behind a tree.. can you stop it from firing? Just curious and thinking about trying one of these

Been thinking about getting a hinge or thumb button but nervous since I’ve only been shooting bows for lil over a year. What’s your opinions and if I go with the hinge would it be better for the aluminum or the stainless? Only real difference is weight I’m guessing.

Hey Chris I’ve been shooting archery for as long as I can remember and never had a lesson and am self taught and the other day I was shooting at my local range and was told to line my peep sight up first then just my hand to the anchor what’s your thoughts on that. Hey Chris, if you were to lay the H2 on top of the original, is the H2 a little bit less swept back over the middle finger or identical to the original? It looks like it's not as swept back but hard to tell. The original was great to draw having it that swept back but it slightly changed my anchor point compared to all my other hinges.

So this works by twisting your wrist once you've drawn the bow?
It works by using tension, you pull your release arm back like your trying to touch a wall with your elbow. There’s a lot of different ways to make it fire though😊
