New for 2022 is the UltraView Hinge 2 Release! This release has many new features which separate it from the original Hinge. Among the changes are: the Hinge 2 has two moons for adjusting the click and fire positions; a magnetic head, so it does not flop around while you are bowhunting; new colors. My favorite hinge to shoot, love it!
Thank you for the detailed description! Keep up the good work
I like hinge releases I just bought a b3 ghost and I love it so much
Does the hinge make your draw shorter?
I have the old plastic one I measured with a string and scale and pulled 73 pounds and it didn't break. New release is sik magnet and 2 moons is awesome sounds like you getting a cold pj anyway cool review thanks
When will you guys have this on your website? I'm buying some arrows and what to get one of these with my order.
What is the purpose of the click?
Man, I'm a bit salty as I just got my original hinge a few months ago which I absolutely love, but I also need a .016 click which is sold out everywhere
I was actually going to try and get a magnet in my hinge one
I’m ngl I ordered a plastic model recently without reading the 30lb max load on it and drew back my 70 pound bow without any bending or breaking… I was so comfy with it that I continue to do it until I can justify buying the real thing 😂
Dang i was a big fan of the brass
Is there a small? Because in order to have a medium, you have to base that size off the large and small and meet in the middle. So why didn’t they just call it size 1 and size 2, if there isn’t a small available?
Nice! Does the UW Hinge 2 uses any kind of safety along the pull or is just based on rotation?
It's a straight up hinge, not a true back tension..
Nope no safety you'd have to go with tru ball sweet spot pro flex or the new stanslaski hinge an carter has one with a safety also
No, but there’s no need for one on this release.
I just picked up the hinge 2 today and I absolutely love it. No need for safety. I am noticing that you if you pull back with more or all the weight on your index finger before starting to execute your shot, you should be fine. I wish I would have went to back tension release sooner.
So how do we add those dummy versions to our cart? I’d like to get a feel for the HINGE!!
I just got one from the ultraview website, had to pay 5 bucks for shipping is all.
I'm surprised there are 1500 questions asking about a feature of safety draw. Thats a big feature that would never be skipped if was available. Also just check the comment below. 🙄
I was wondering if the release has a safe draw feature similiar to the Stans?
It does not, but you don’t need a safety at all.
The way the hinge is designed, it's really not needed. I have never accidentally fired it while drawing and it's the first hinge style release I ever used.
One other question. Does it have a safty to activate without firing similar to the Stan Element
No
Use your phone and take a pic of where the moons settings are. Thenjust expand the pic to see the setting
does the hunting bracket for the medium hinge 1 fit the medium hinge 2?
No the 2.0 is thicker than the 1.0
Imagine paying top dollar for a hinge and you still don't get a thumb peg... it blows my mind and yes I know these are technically easier to draw as the hook is more over the middle finger.
Apart from that, good to see the 2 moon arrangement, basically the same as a Carter Total Control
That's because not everyone wants the exact same style and size of peg. You pay top dollar for a bow and it doesn't even come with a peep sight.
@@TangoOne I get what your trying to say but all hinge pegs are effectively the same size. Look at Scott, truball, B3, Carter and so on.
It is highly highly highly uncommon to use a large diameter thumb peg.
I am salty they don't mention they are coming out with this at all. I'm sending mine back ig
Does it rly matter? The new one is $50 more 🤷🏻♂️
@@reaganriddle when you're paying 300 dollars for a release. On the company's website 2 days prior with no mention and they come out with one with all of the problems the old one had, solved, for the same price? No notification or anything on their front page, like coming soon. Or no discount on the original hinge at all wich I have no doubt they will stop producing. Yea no thanks
@@codysmith7456 yeah I’m in the same exact boat. I literally ordered a brass model 2 days ago directly from their website and there wasn’t a word about it on there. If nothing else it’s pretty terrible marketing for trying to sell a new product.
@@codysmith7456 fair enough. Good point.
When they annoince a new product don't buy anything until they release it. This has happened with every new drop and ppl still complaining about the same thing.
