I picked up a new black X100V in 2022 … had to wait 7 months for delivery but at least I only paid the Fuji MSRP. These days I take it on road bicycle adventures using the PS Bagworks Rider Strap and a JCC Neoprene camera case pouch to protect it while riding. I still have my iPhone with me for quick snaps and uploads but the Fuji is a joy to use! I also have the Fuji adapter ring, neutral filter and lens hood. The JCC camera case accommodates the lens hood. 📷😄

Teppo, I'm so happy for you! You got so incredibly lucky. The hype about this camera is real. When I asked in a Czech shop that specializes in Fujifilm cameras they told me you have to wait like 9 months or more (it's like a baby 😅). I would really love to get this camera too as I would love something that I could carry with me all the time to document my everyday life and shoot street photography and yes, I don't feel like carrying my Sony camera everywhere I go (also it's my workhorse and it was quite expensive so I don't want to put it to any unnecessary risk) and this seems like the best option out there. The only question is whether Fujifilm come with the next generation before this one arrives...

I have wanted one for a while, but just can’t justify the cost for it. Luckily though, as you said it’s sold out everywhere so often it’s made it pretty easy not to be tempted to pick on up 😂

As a former fujifilm user, I would give 2 bits of advise:
1) in the IQ setting, if you mess with the image quality, such as clarity, you’ll get a message between every shot that says something along the lines of “storing image” which can drastically slow down shooting in the moment. If you’re fine with that, then have at it.
2) in the wrench menu, go to power management, performance, and turn on boost mode. This does drain your battery a little quicker, but it helps with auto focus performance and refresh rate in the EVF and LCD.
I tend to mention this to anyone who gets a fujifilm camera.

@@TeppoHaapoja yeah it definitely has to do with the IQ settings. I personally 0 out those setting and lower the noise reduction and sharpness to the negative setting that I’m happy with. Some people say it can look a little washed out, which is why I mentioned this as well. Luckily that doesn’t impact that message from popping up.
For a small compact camera I use a Panasonic GM1 with Pan 14mm f2.5 (28mm equiv).

I like using Kodak film recipes with my Fuji cameras. It is fun for family and general stuff. I shoot RAW for wildlife.

Considering the age of the camera (3+ years), are you at all anxious about the resale value considering the next version is around the corner? (Q1/Q2 2024 based on rumors). Great video btw!
Im not too worried :) I enjoy the camera and ill keep using it for awhile
I just use my ZV-E1 with the pancake 24G series Lens and have full frame for photo and video in a small package 😊

I don't get people who buy the X100V to get the vintage analogue images when the Fujifilm XE1 does it better and is 15 to 20 times cheaper used.
