    ➤➤Transcript:
Well there isn’t any difference between the fool and someone who’s courageous, right, from an archetypal perspective. Abraham is a fool, obviously, when he starts his adventures. I mean, the story lays it out in that manner. He’s far too old to be leaving home, for example. He’s a late bloomer. You know? And then he has a lot of catastrophic adventures along the way. And certainly you could imagine that had you encountered him when he first encountered the famine in the land of strangers when he first went out, the idea that he had followed his misguided intuitions would have been self-evident.
But, in the Abrahamic stories, there is this call to get out and do.
And that’s it! And the thing is, is that one of the things I’ve learned, to make it concretely, is that I’ve done a lot of different things in my life, and every time I did a new thing I was a fool. I did it badly. I was an imposter. Right? Because when you first start to do something, you don’t know what you’re doing.
But that’s okay. That’s an acceptance of your vulnerability. Right? And your ignorance. That’s humility in some sense-the willingness to be a fool in the land of strangers. That’s it. The willingness to be a fool in the land of strangers. And that’s an act of courage. Because you also reveal your vulnerability to the world by stumbling around. But as long as you’re stumbling forward then you’re going to move forward. Now how do you do that more concretely? You aim at an ideal. You aim at an ideal that’s beyond you. Now maybe you don’t aim to begin with at an ideal that’s so beyond you that you’re crushed by its magnificence. Maybe that’s-that’s too demotivating to move you. But you could at least conceptualize yourself as the you that you are with fewer of the faults that you know of. And that’s a good start. And I also think that’s associated with the idea of humility. Take stock. Figure out how it is that you’re not who you could be. And then move in that direction. But maybe with each slap you’ll straighten up a little bit. Especially if you listen-even to the people who are slapping you-because sometimes they’re the ones who can reveal for you very quickly where it is that you’re weak and insufficient so that you won’t have to be that way in the future.
~ The fool is the precursor to the savior ~

@Psychonaut Common sense isn't common. It's sometimes nice to hear another speak ideas that may be common sense to you, but not overly present in the world. I used to say the same thing; "He's only saying stuff that everybody knows already." Guess what? Not everybody is wired the same. It's nice to know you're not alone sometimes.

In a moralistic perspective, a fool or a useless idiot is essentially the same thing as a legend that is yet to be born - especially if you're striving for a higher good that promotes the wellness of survival and growth of oneself and a burning desire of wanting the same for others. So keep chasing your dreams and let both the naysayers and mother nature knock you down because it's another lesson to get back up in new and evolving ways. That progressive step-by-step acquisition of pain, learning and strength is required to weather and manage what continually comes next in your journey. Nothing that comes your way is useless when you embark on a meaningfully transcendent quest - it's just all useful but in various, interesting, different ways.

The only real valid truth is experience and if all you know is what you are told, this is not valid. Societies end up criminally insane for they do not know right from wrong, humans stopped feeling because of the intentional design of all societies.Societies are designed by those who desire authority and only the victor writes history. The most difficult part of this is being crucified for every mistake you make along the way. Speaking from experience, being the guy everyone’s eyes go to collectively in blame when something’s gone wrong. Being the “go to” scapegoat to blame for every wrong thing, no questions asked. In that sort of position, one can do no right - only work and wrong. And men aren’t commended for their work, as their work is expected of them.

I was a fool for love and I do it again, to be the master of her love, my sun yearns its cover by her moonlight- and when she’s cold and dark, I’d give light and warmth by my son shine.
The heroes journey begins again for me, in my middle age & in a new career- that beckons from construction to science in a new city 🌃
    She left me feeling empty
Cold and alone, my mind got up and left me.
I wish she’d only of tasted me, but tested was all she got from me.
The results was what I failed, see🧐🙏🤮🎣🐁🧠

to grow your whole life you have to be a forever be a fool (hopefully in smaller and smaller ways). to forever be a fool and willing to be forever slapped and humbled by life

It's interesting but doesn't apply to everyone. I've been a bit of a prodigy at things because of my intelligence hierarchy I intuit through but all in all maybe it does apply to the vast majority.

strange concept - hmm biblically a fool doesn't have the tools to transcend from his position as a fool as he despises wisdom for one

@@raymundhofmann7661 Yes I don't understand Jordan's definition of a fool. As much as I have respected his videos it is always good to go ad hominem - to allow the words alone validate what is being conveyed. Biblically the fool is someone that enjoys doing evil and despises wisdom.
However even the wisest of men can be foolish as you may be aware of the story of Solomon after receiving the 666 talents of gold- his folly was spoken of in Ecclesiastes - (words of regret)
      1 Corinthians 3:18-23
talks about being foolish so you can become wise. -
However this a secular concept in what Jordan is referring to.
      Not understanding through faith.
What I take from what he is saying is don't be afraid to appear foolish or a novice or you won't achieve or learn anything. Yes again biblically it talks about caring what others think is a mental handicap. Since people's opinions are as fickle as the wind and just as bios at times what does it matter? My personal take on a fool is they are dangerous because they are the first to tie their strings to an evil puppet master.

      @@lucidlagomorph5809 It's all in perspective.
The first card of tarot is fool...he is "fool" of potential but he doesn't know. He can sens that there is more to life just by observing people around him and he is willing to walk the talk to get experience.
The second card is a men - magician who have the tools to start to build his world of possibilities. We often say...the life if magical.
The last card is the World...independent individual who has mastered himself/herself.
