      And lack of self care boils down to a lie that we are not worthy of it.

    Become the person you are preparing to receive! All we will ever know is our selves in any situation no matter who we are with. We weren’t designed to live through anybody’s experiences accept our own.

    Gosh, not only does Jordan give you good advice that could really help, man doesn't serve it to you softly- he pushes it into you with harsh and bold but true words. The harshness makes you actually think, unlike therapy in some ways.

    04:23: You need to take care of yourself because you're in the best position to do that, and it's necessary for you to take care of yourself despite the fact that we're mortal and vulnerable. ... Your life gets richer, more meaningful, and you become a better person-not just for yourself but also for others.
    I once let failure define me, believing it meant I was unworthy. But I’ve learned that failure isn’t the end; it’s the beginning of resilience. Each setback taught me to rise, stronger and wiser, knowing that every fall was a lesson in the journey to success.

    When Jesus stated: "Love your neighbor as yourself" - he meant that you should have equal concern for the comfort of your neighbor as you have for your own.
    It also means that whatever you wish on to other people you would be happy to have wished on yourself in like manner.
    It means that you must think the thoughts about others which you would be happy for them to think about you!
    It means that your entire consciousness should be directed at caring, concern for others, no matter what they may be doing hurtful against yourself. All human beings are living in a jungle of human desires, goals, frailties, disappointments, angers and frustrations. Out of this war-torn consciousness come many weak and ill-judged responses and actions.
    Therefore, behold the frailty, forgive the unkindness and let it go back into the nothingness out of which it came. The only TRUTH and REALITY in life is Universal Consciousness Intelligence/Love. Hold fast to this realisation at all times.

      Your entire focus should not just be caring for others. You must earnestly care for yourself as if you were someone you care about. It’s the first words Jordan says in this video. By giving that care to yourself, you can then take responsibility and eventually have some left over for others, and eventually some left over for your community and others and yourself. That is the core of the message.

      Making the effort is the opening into caring for self and others. Modeling the outer behaviors is a start. Acting "AS IF" is what trains us and we begin to care and love. Waiting until we can respect ourselves is not very productive....Best to start trying it.

    I keep coming home to evidence someone's been in my home while I'm out and now i have someone in my family yelling at me because i wont give him keys to my home. Im being told this is non negotiable and this person knows ive been talking about burglary to my home. I think this is to cover up for the fact ive given them keys in the past that were supposed to go to my mom but they never did. Im being lied to and i feel like im in danger in my own home. I need help. Not straight jacket help but investigator help but i feel like no one will listen to me. I feel like something bad is being set up to harm me

    How to treat yourself better ... is to stop believing that a god exists that is watching and judging your every thought and deed.
    Mentally, I wasn't at all able to leave religion behind until I was 70 years of age, as I figured that if most people on earth believed that the universe was created, it just had to be true.
    Then I heard about the scientist Stephen Hawking's theory ... about the universe having no beginning and no end ... and that made sense to me. That dispelled the creator myth ... no creator ... no plan involved ... and I then could believe that energy and consciousness always existed … and that suffering of all forms of life ... is natural.

    • @junevandermark952
      @junevandermark952 Рік тому

      @Rose Madrid We were all indoctrinated.
      If, as children, we were indoctrinated by the following information, rather than being taught that suffering for wicked souls exists in a supposed afterlife, we would not have any fear of death.
      From the book Medicine Madams and Mounties … Stories of a Yukon Doctor * 1933-1947 … Death is the final sleep … The Indians I met were used to death and dying. They saw it daily as they slaughtered and trapped animals for their livelihood. For them everything had its time, ending in death, and they could not understand our fear of dying. “Why do white people fear death?” they often asked me. “Nobody fears the onset of the unconsciousness called sleep yet you are afraid of the final sleep, death.”

    • @junevandermark952
      @junevandermark952 Рік тому

      @Rose Madrid “Some people are offended by equality” … author Ricky Gervais.
      I suggest that people in religion are offended at the idea that a god exists that treats everyone as being equal in worth.
      Devotees all seem to want to believe that a god sees them as being special and saved … while they believe that the same god sees others as being unsalvageable evil sinners.
      All things being equal ... religion is NOT good.

      @@saizoishida2446 I'm an Atheist and if I was starving to death, I might prey on other unfortunate humans ... but I would not pray for help to a deity that I don't believe exists, as that would be comparable to a child begging Santa for a gift.
      I used to believe that the universe was created ... but when I read about ancient and modern scientists believing that the universe always existed ... that theory made much more sense to me than that the universe was created.
      No creator ... no plan ... means that suffering of all forms of life ... is natural ... other than how we cause each other to suffer ... nasty animals that we can be ... if the mood hits us.
