LMS Stanier Black 5 44871 On The Cumbrian Mountain Express + Steam At Kirkby Stephen East 13/07/24

Today we see LMS Stainer Black 5 44871 work the Cumbrian Mountain Express for Crewe to Carlisle and back. We first see the train at Scout Green and then again in the afternoon at Ais Gill summit. As well as that I’ve included some footage from Kirkby Stephen’s 1940s weekend.

Spot on Angus, nicely captured at both locations and a nice change to see the Black 5 although I was surprised to see so few cars at Scout Green and I was all by myself at Shap Wells which was very odd so whether the road closure was the reason who knows, cheers 👍
