Trailblazer Motor Teardown... ROD KNOCK

This is the motor out of my 2005 Chevrolet trailblazer. I bought the vehicle with this motor being bad and replaced it with another obviously and sold that trailblazer. That was quite some time ago. Now I dig into this motor after a few years, and oh boy was it bad.

Did you spray something on the headbolts before trying to break them loose?

Nope. Didn't really care to be honest. The motor sat outside for few years before I started to do anything with it so I am sure that didn't help. I wasn't looking to save anything really. I just wanted to see what the top of the pistons looked like and if there was piston valve contact.
