- It's our first time in South Korea, and I have to say I really enjoyed our trip there, especially the food! But where are all the trash cans?

I never knew I would love a random Vietnamese girl and her German boyfriend so much :)). This is ridiculous
Also, the restaurant experience in Korea seems amazing and something I need to check out myself 😁.
It is strange, but I love them, too. The videos are so cool and fun.
Me too. It shows that the content is not enough, it's the personality that keep us hooked to the channel. It's refreshing they are so normal, down to earth and funny and yet very insightful and playful. Just like friends you would love to have.

German boyfriend some time ago in Germany: No partner shirts! German boyfriend on holiday in Korea: Lets gamble and get some partner rings from the gambling machine! Thank you for the lovely video!
I understand him. The rings are cute!
Pokémon rings😸
i’m Korean and just had a wonderful trip to Vietnam. it was such a beautiful place, the people were so kind.
As a Vietnamese I’m glad you enjoyed the country, we know it’s not as modern and advanced as Korea, but I’m glad you still liked it 🩵
@@centillion5733 Korea has it’s positives but can be a judgmental and abrupt society. Vietnam has its own beautiful charm, and the people were warm and kind. Life isnt all about modern technology!
@@Eyl279l, you are very wise.
@@Eyl279thats awesome how open minded you are, im not korean or viet, but im indonesian, and i can relate to this as indonesia has some areas which arent as advanced as korea
hi, i would like to ask what song is this at 2:29 i hear and type this 하슴서개소게 감 정 드릴 널사 아죽지 but i dont think that is right, it turns out to be another song. thank youuu for helping

I'm so glad that my favorite UA-camr came to my country, I hope you enjoy it!
The T-Money card also works for taxis, toll fees, convenience stores, etc. and not just for trains and buses. It is so convenient to have. You can also withdraw the contents to cash once you no longer need it; do it at an airport convenience store before you leave.
Your dress is so cute! It looks great on you, I hope it's comfy
Thank you! It’s very comfy and it’s my favourite dress at the moment
Worth it when you love it!
💯
@@uyenninhit looks so gorgeous ❤
@@uyenninhhow can you be with a German man in relationship?? You are a disgrace to Vietnam people
Korea actually has tons of awesome veggies. A lot of them are things we don’t usually eat in Western countries, like bracken/gosari. However, you might not find them in bigger (often Westernized) supermarkets, as they’re better quality from smaller local markets that source them directly from the farmers. You can even buy them from grannies on the side of the road if you know where to go.
everyone needs to try gosari. its the best side dish
어머! 반가워요. 어서와요. 서울이 그대에게 많은 추억을 선물하길 바랍니다~^^
Actually, they do grow a lot of water melons here in Korea... When it is the main season, you get it everywhere for a reasonable price. And compared to Germany Korea also has a much wider range of greens and vegetables. In Germany they would throw out the greens of radishes or garlic for example, here they make Kimchi and side dishes out of it. When you get to know about Korean cuisine a bit deeper, you will also discover the many medical uses of certain dishes that are made to fit on people's energy types, the seasons or physical conditions. For these purposes all kind of vegetables, greens, roots, mushrooms, spices and herbs are used and prepared in specific ways. For me personally, Korean cuisine was healing. I suffered all my youth from irritable bowl syndrome, allergies etc. but since I mainly eat Korean food, I do not have any problems anymore.
This channel is the best medicine. I discovered this channel a few months ago when I was in bed due to Covid-19. Uyen is so funny that i watched ALL the short videos in 6 -7 days while recovering. Ever since then, I have not missed a single newly launched videos.
I live in Korea and there are TONS of greens, but you’ll mostly find them in more traditional restaurants or in old-fashioned home cooking. If you eat at 국밥 places you won’t see that many. You’re right that fruit is outrageously expensive until it comes into season. Also, I think you can charge your T-Money card at some CUs with your bank card. I don’t really remember because a lot of people who live here have a bank card that also works as a transit card. Hope you had fun in Korea! Love your channel!
Wait till you come to the UK and see train prices here😂 trains are very expensive. 30 EUR is wishful thinking. Thank you for showing Korea. You and your boyfriend are joy to watch. Always cheerful. And that dress was very cute. Suited you well.
I was in the UK last year, and had to make at least 1 trip to England from Scotland every month. Being an Asian, the ticket prices were SHOCKING. Nobody told me that flights would be 4 times cheaper. 😅
헐 평소에 정말 즐겨보던 유튜버인데 반가워요❤❤❤
유튜버님 항상 밝은 모습 너무 보기좋아서 최애 유튜버였어요!!
즐거운 시간 보내겔 바랄게요🎉🎉
When I lived in Korea I had a T-money “card” that was a charm shaped like Pikachu. I had to order it online, but it’s one of my favorite souvenirs from my time in Korea.
fruits are unusually expensive in Korea this year due to abnormal weather conditions, and as for veggies, aside from the staples, they come and go with the seasons :) hope you had fun in Korea. good to see that instead of staying just in Seoul, you got to visit other regions, too!
The dress with the flower vest is such a cute combination!!!
Korea is a beautiful country full of lots of amazing people and culture.
I must say that Korean people are not worried if they run into you or knock you over if you are a foreigner.
Oh damn..
I love your videos!! I love how down to earth and honest you are and how simple of a life you live!! Love from India!!
@YvonneHoerde She is a down to earth very normal person. She's also becoming financially successful as her channel takes off, and spending that well earned money, mostly on travel and seeing her family, which she couldn't afford to do often before. She deserves her success, which, compared to most UA-camrs her size will pay comparatively very little because she doesn't really do sponsorships. That's also part of the charm and genuine down to earth feel of her channel.
@@YvonneHoerde- your kinda crabby. Maybe one of those trolls
@@RebeccaBeyond Absolutely True!!
my favorite youtuber visited my country!! you don't know how loudly i screamed when i saw the title of this video😂 i hope you two had a wonderful time here❤❤❤
🎉🎉🎉❤!
I wish I knew you in real life, your kind, chill, and funny. You have a good heart, thank you for sharing your life with all of us 🫶🏾
I'm just addicted to this channel it's lovely
Nice 👍 video uyen
Your dress is lovely, Uyen. Hope you and German BF had a wonderful time there.
You look lovely in your dress!! It was sooo adorable when German BF put the "ring " in your finger then he got one for himself 😊. Glad you guys had a great vacation ❤
I doubt at my age I will get to travel to Korea. Your video took me there with you all. I look forward to your videos. THanks for sharing!
I LOVE YOUR FLOWER VEST AND ALSO HAVE FUN IN SOUTH KOREA ❤
Uyen! Sending love from a Korean American! I love your channel and hearing your point of view. I love the dynamic you and your boyfriend have! I've enjoyed learning about Vietnamese and German culture through you guys' eyes.
한국에서 좋은 추억이 많았으면 좋겠어요~~
I once fell in love with Vietnam. Also loved much of Germany when I traveled the country. So glad you both visited my own country and sincerely enjoy this visit.
Oh my gosh! Welcome to Korea! I think that place is Busan. I clicked the video as soon as I found the title.😋 I'm your big fan. I love you.
Looks like you had fun in Korea! I'm very happy to see as a Korean :3
Im so happy you made an entire video about the Korea trip! You seem to know well too. Big fan of you Uyen and German Boyfriend!! 🥰 love from 🇰🇷
Love the restaurant table with the drawer. they should have those everywhere
OMG WELCOME TO KOREA!! I'm so glad to hear that you're in our country!
I really enjoy these travel videos. The shorts are fun as well. But I really enjoy the longform travel content. When you guys go day tripping in Germany or take weekend trips in Europe it would be really cool if you guys sometimes made longer videos about those. One of the many things I miss dearly after immigrating to the United States from Germany is the travel. Here the country is so large and diverse that deciding to take trips can be a bit overwhelming. Having to request time off from work because we want to visit a place in the South or East Coast from where we live on the West Coast can be difficult. It can take multiple days to drive before we even get to the destination( admittedly we have embraced the concept of a "road trip" being part of the vacation as there are many fun and unique things to see and do along the way👍🏼🚗). If we do not drive then we fly, which saves travel time but can be quite costly depending on which times you tavel during the year. The bus system for long distance travel in the States is less costly. However it is a bit uncomfortable as there are no "sleeper" coach option, and the buses actually take quite a bit longer than driving yourself. The train system in the U.S. is also costly, rarely runs on time(often leaving or arriving multiple hours or even a day late). Something that just does not happen in Germany unless a train has a mechanical problem. We have learned that Amtrak is more of a trip in itself. It is great for seeing the many different environments and geography the States have to offer. Many couples and families we met were on seasonal train vacations. Such as in Fall to watch the leaves burst into an array of stunning sunset like colors. The trains also have sleeping cabin options as well as seats, meals are often available as well. Unlike the trains abroad which offer high apeed options, trains here are regular slower moving trains. Also depending on which State and are you live in public transportation here is not good in all areas. Some maajor cities like NY, LA, SF, Seattle, and other larger Metropolises have subways, buses, light rails, and trams. Which is great. However it seems many other places do not and some do bot have any public transportation at all. Making being car dependent a fairly common thing. In Germany we could decide to hop on a high speed train after work on a Friday and be in multiple other countries by that evening. Then be home on the Sunday evening or Monday morning knowing we'll arrive on time as stated. Even hopping on a train to go to visit a friend in another part of the country was easy. The public transportation is fairly consistent and offers many options in all areas. Bikes also have access to many large areas of the cities where cars are forbidden. Cities are also very walkable. We did not own a car or need one until moving here. Biking is also in my opinion safer in Germany. It can be quite scary here as many drivers seem to get annoyed with or not look out for cyclists. It's quite nice when we return to Germany to visit family and friends to be able to easily utilize public transportation and bicycles. So as much as we love living in the States and the freedom living here gives us we do miss those things in Europe. Honestly it's not actually that surprising. The States are huge! Because of that there are actually so many unique, diverse, and wonderful places to visit and things to do that I doubt we could see or do it all in multiple lifetimes.
You pretty well nailed the United States. What state are you currently living in?
@@hairdresser1300, I guess the person lives in California or Oregon.
Love your channel! Looks like you had a great time in South Korea. Too bad you didn't get to find out that SK is actually a vegetable heaven! Have you been to any of the bigger supermarkets? The variety of fresh vegetables is astonishing!
About the subway card: SK is actually a nearly cashless society, and the reason you had to pay cash was most likely because you had a foreign card. Residents of SK actually have the transport chip right on their credit cards, so they never actually have to "top up"......the transport costs go straight through their credit/debit cards.
Anyway, all the best! Stay happy!
4:09 the ice cream dripping and NO ONE GRABBING IT is *_STRESSING_* me out 😂
Saaame 😂 German boyfriend was flabbergasted by the beer icecream so he could not react fast enough 🤣🤣 but despite his deep shock he managed to save most of it 🥳
I’m always surprised how easy your long form videos are to watch!! I have a very bad attention span and usually get bored and click off halfway through longer videos but I find myself so easily focused when watching you talk :)
I like Vietnam the most of these 3 countries I have visited. I have visited Vietnam (HCM City, Da Nang Hue, Hanoi,Sapa, Lao Cai , climbed the 3143 metre high Mt Fansipan). At Loa Cai (5 hour by train from Hanoi), we can cross the border to Yunnan China by walking across a 100 metre bridge.
I visited South Korea: Seoul, Busan,Jeju Island, Climbed Mt Halisan at Jeju which take a full day to go up and down. There are so many hiking trails in Korea. The best time to go is November for the autumn foilage.
For Germany, only been to Munich. Visited a very sad concentration camp. Many beautiful museums, galleries, a BMW museum and palaces.
It is least costly to travel in VN. Less than USD70 for 5 star hotel room for 2. A hearty meal for less than USD 10 in a restaurant, USD3 for a noodle meal in a shop.
I love your longer content. I know it’s a whole different skill set to do this, I’m really enjoying the way you’re growing online. Thank you.
Oh I recognize those colorful paper lanterns! You went aroung Buddha's birthday. I went in Korea and stayed for a full starting around this time 9 years ago. The palaces are wonderful and if you can visit by night (only at very specific time of the year) it's even more gorgeous!
But I agree the culture is everywhere and they make wonders with the food. Except they don't have enough fruits and it's so expensive 😩
I'm so happy you both enjoyed your stay in Korea 👍
glad that you enjoyed my beautiful home country! loved the video a lot 🥰 fun fact, vietnamese food gained a lot of popularity in my country for the last few years, and i see a lot of vietnamese restaurants on the street nowadays... which is a win-win situation for both culture! (i also enjoy them a lot! soup, rice, noodle, seafood, vegetable... viet cuisine offers everything that koreans love 😋)
+ decent amount of vegetable dishes in south korea uses various random plants that grows in mountain environment, and it is hard to find them outside of traditional market. so excluding that, our choice of vegetables can be limited compared to warmer countries :/ and thats why we dry, steam, boil and spice them up... to make them taste better!
I’m surprised you didn’t mention the buttons! Many Korean restaurants have a little button you can push when you want to order something, and an employee will come. Also, there is usually a cash register so you don’t have to wait at your table for the bill. When you are done, just get up and go pay. Biggest negative: good coffee is really expensive. Biggest positive: bingsoo everywhere!
bingsooooooooo
Uyen, your heart is so beautiful, I see why German bf fell for you! Ty for sharing your travel journeys ! I feel like I’m there with you! You don’t know how much that means to people who will never be able to go there! Ty 🙏
2 big comments. I'm always super impressed with those red/green buildings/temples and I really like everything about that first restaurant. The drawer at the table, the free side dishes... Awesome.
Cute hat! ❤ The glimpse of holding hands with German boyfriend was sweet.
6:38 "uyen is the ultimate asian mother "😂😂😂😂
Oh, you have given me so many wonderful flashbacks on my vacation to Korea in May! My experiences were so similar! (I want to go back ㅠㅠ) Having studied the language for two years I am a bit envious about your listening skills, though. I think I must watch more K-Dramas . Thank you, I enjoyed this video al lot!
Those machine rings are so cute. And of course Germany BF had to have the Green one like the Green Lantern. Now you both have your own couple power rings. Like couple shirts but memorialized in a first time experience.
Also Uyen is sounding a bit like a German when she travels. "Poor planning...for the train" Uyen mentions so casually. Or her accurate bluntness with her descriptions. Just little things. It's cute. Speaking of cute, I like seeing her jovial excitement about the things she finds interesting or weird. Glad you two had such a nice time.
Thanks for sharing!
ayo the moment that german boyfriend said "fine we can have couples character rings" without saying it out loud; massively cute
I think it is lovely, that you could explore South Korea together with your boyfriend and realise how much it influenced Vietnam and your life there.
I love Uyen’s videos so much!! The vibes and her style makes her one of the only UA-camrs that keep me interested, considering my habit of clicking off videos in the midway 😅
I’ve just known your channel recently but your unique style was a huge inspiration in starting my own UA-cam channel. Thank you for your all joyful videos🥳✨🌱
I know you more from your shorts, but I find that I've really been enjoying your long form content (this is the first I watch of the long form) it made me feel like you where taking me along with you in your travels and it was really heart warming, so thank you
Thank you so much for sharing. We are planning to visit south Korea next year !
You know, now that you can crochet, you can make that top/vest ❤
And do it as a teach-along so we can make one with you!!
You should try a Pop Up Frozen Beer Shop during the EM. Düsseldorf is a host town. 🤸
Currently, I‘m an exchange student in Korea, so it was very interesting to see what you think about South Korea (I‘m German hehe)
Uyen your vlog style is amazing, I loved listening to all your infos and experiences! Great video ❤
Ahhh I am happy to see one of my favorite youtubers visiting Korea!!!❤❤❤Hope you had a great time with your German BF🥰 By the way, one interesting thing about Korean buses, is that there is a difference between the rural cities and the capital city! In Seoul and Gyeongido, you have to tag the card on the reader both when you're boarding the bus and getting off the bus. But! In other regions, such as Busan, you only have to tag it when you're boarding the bus.(Except when you are transferring into the other bus/subway within 30 minutes!)
Thank you for introducing our country in such kind and generous words. Korean culture has been underrated compared to Japanese and Chinese for so long time. It is so emotional to watch our country's culture to flourish.
Dearest Uyen- re available vegetables, Korea isn’t a semi- tropical country. It has cold snowy winters, spring time, a proper Autumn. It’s going to have plants that grow in that climate!
Thoroughly enjoyed the episode... thank you!
The public transport system is very similar to what we have in Montréal, from what I gather. We have our cards that we top up with individual trips, monthly plans etc. and we use them for all public transit in the city. We beep them going in the bus, by the driver, but we don't have to beep them on our way out.
Such a fun vlog.
Funny that one of your takeaways was that Korea is really mountainous.
As a NZer mine was that the mountains are baby. But i was only in Seoul and people kept telling me i was on mountains.
Much of the country is mountainous and unuseable! And hiking in Korea is popular but I’m afraid of heights and can’t do it often because it’s mostly stairs and steep suspension bridges, etc. Most of Seoul is developed, so it’s leveled out but it is really steep in a lot of places. I live in the middle of the country where it’s mostly flat, and there are places with more mountains, too. It just varies. I’m also from a very mountainous place (Tennessee) and it’s a lot different We have more trees and hills and there are more rocky areas here. Depends on where you go!
I am from NZ and here in korea we have some hills behind our apartment that I would never try to climb.
Anyeong~ I'm planning a trip to South Korea this Oct. Thanks for sharing this video. You look very cute in that dress!
Hope to see you guys visiting Japan too sometime in the future!
Uyen ive been watching you bothk for a year or two now, and just wanted to say, seeing you both so happy really Brightens my day
The bus system is the same as in the Netherlands. The buses are beautiful in South Korea. The system with the chip card to charge money and drive in public transport including trains is also the same as in the Netherlands.
Uyen your outfit is so cute! knit tops and long skirts look really good on you gurl
I hope you do Korean drinks too! Milkis, the pine needle drink, melon milk, tea, soju, somek, makgeolli, bokbunja (black raspberry wine, my fave)... I want to know your and GB's faves!
OH I have learned so much about soju and other drinks from a Korean couple's channel!! Also about the food, the travel possibilities, the historical places. It is on my bucket list for when money falls from the sky!!
I like how great the crochet vest goes with dress and orange shirt.
Was there a shawl included? Everyone seems to just love your outfit. A shopping link could make some money for your next outfit and trip.❤ Love these longer videos. 👍 Great job.
It was fun to travel along with y'all and hear about the mundane things!
Ahhhh so happy to see you in Busan!! How much I miss there…. Hope you enjoyed it!!❤❤❤
Thank you so much for visiting and enjoying my home country Uyen! Hope we see you again! You bring wholesome energy wherever you go. I want to visit Vietnam and Germany someday to learn about your culture!
Korea grows a lot of greens & root vegetables. They have a lot more than what meets the eye at first glance. It’s just very different. But because Korea has 4 seasons they can’t grow everything. But most Koreans really value Korean-grown fruit and vegetables so they eat very seasonally.
Cool info!
I have lived in korea for a decade. It is fascinating to see your reactions to things.
There are many types of "hangover soup" and I love them all.
I just love this video. So informative and lovely one.
Thank you for sharing your adventures, I love watching your experiences
Really appreciate your video about Korea. I learned a lot. Maybe I will visit 😅
I love your travel videos, especially the contrast of views between you and German Fiancé, More please!!
I really love this video of one of my favourite city in the world. Can't wait to go back and visit South Korea again.
I like your dress for you. You're so cute on it. 😊
That blouse you're wearing is the trend now, even here in Philippines so many women are wearing it.
Love from Korea! Im glad you enjoyed it
Thank u for every video you make. Please know you make us laugh and u teach us so much about different cultures. ( Not teaching us math but hey it's ok 😅)
I've wanted to go forever. I definitely want to try as much food as possible and visit a few temples. If it's possible... go to Jeju.
I feel too insecure to go to a spa though.
I'm also trying to get better with some of the meanish things that one of my Korean exes used to tell me if I traveled there.
I'm so glad you guys enjoyed yourself. The lack of veggies surprised me. I love being taken on trips with you two.
Much love to you both! 😊😊😊
It will definitely be worth it.
I've been to Busan, Seoul, Daegu and Jeju Island. All really beautiful.
If you like nature and taking walks I'd definitely recommend Busan and Jeju. Busan has beautiful beaches and hiking trails along the coast. And Jejus 올레길 hiking trails are famous for a reason.
Omg you both are so adorable together. ❤ That dress is BEAUTIFUL on you Uyen!
Well it’s hard to tell because she refuses to show the German Boyfriend’s face! It’s about time to reveal it!!
Another place I would love to visit! Thanks for bringing us along.
즐겁게 놀다 가세요❤ 좋은 경험만 하고 갔으면 좋겠어요 😊
I really want to go to visit South Korea!! This was such a lovely, informative and colorful video 💖💖. When you do future travel videos pretty please mention where you are visiting in the beginning so we can note it. I think the only places you visited were Busan and Seoul but it was hard to tell. I'm hungry now so going to make ramyeon 😂😀.
I used to live in South Korea. It’s a beautiful country with amazing food! If you want to try more of a variety of their vegetables, you have to go out to the countryside and go to a small restaurant that forages their food. That’s the way to get different veggies. Also, they don’t usually sell these vegetables in the stores. Because people go out and get them for free.
I love love love this! Thank you for sharing your experience in Korea. The tips are so handy. You answered a few questions I had. Thank you
Great video Uyen. Enjoyed watching Korea through your eyes 😊👍
Thank you for visiting my country! I hope you guys had a great time in Korea😊
Omg girl your vest is so beautiful ❤
omg welcome!!! I’m so glad that you guys come to Korea:)❤❤
This was great! Beautiful outfit, definitely worth the euros
I really like your outfit with this new dress and a hat! ☺️ sooo pretty!
thank you for the video!
omg uyen i agree when you say korea is basically full of hills! when i went there, i was so shocked at gamcheon village bcs altho its so sosososos beautiful i literally almost died i was so tired of walking LMAOO but its so much fun
They have those in most Asian countries, I always get a few when we are in Hong Kong! As for the high speed train, it's expensive everywhere. We took the train (iryo) in Madrid (Spain) to Barcelona which was about 2,5 hours and that was 40 euro's.
Take the chance to rent hanbok to wear and visit the palaces! They are really pretty, my wife and daughter rented it and really liked it.
