Very knowlegeable fella interesting to watch and gives alot of food for thought, think i need to save me pennies up and pay mr taylor a visit in the near future
i dont know why..but i get a good feeling i could trust this guy over the usual tuners and dealers....yeah hes put in the work and testing... i would buy this kit, sounds nice.
Did you know the mammoth head doesn't work? As the air will pass via barrel gap between the cover and barrel .... easiest route like water . Sorry to say . I'm sure you know that and have designed a cover to work correctly or put stuffers in the big gap around barrel ?
the function of the head and cooling system is tested by its final temperature range achieved out on the road in real world conditions use , we have been using the avanti and mammoth heads since 2012 on our group 6 championship winning motor where the first mod done was cutting thru the head fins to allow thru flow which has been adopted on all the mammoth heads and later avanti heads ,they have proven themselves on road / race circuit /and sprinting with superb reliability and temperature results the road test motor is above 2k miles now and not exceeded 320f head temps a good chunk lower than our max figure we are happy to run up to so has all the cooling we need.
@@taylortuning444 thanks for updating im glad you modified it to allow flow because it blocks air flow on the left side but im sure in your race bike you have also blocked off the air escaping around the exhaust stub and as the barrel is smaller diameter it really needs stuffers to force air threw the fins ..... people like to know what you do as your number 1 at the moment , keep up good work on lambrettas mate , i would love to see your porting on these cylinders sometime . 👍
5995 for a lambretta engine 🤣🤣 get a fire blade 5 times faster half the price twice as reliable keep lambrettas how thay should be standard and beautiful
well see now thats jus rude...it's funner an shit to be at a stop light on a 61 series 2 an a greaser comes up on his 600 with his nike shoes and back pack and he twists his throttle slightly to show you...but you casually check your hair in your wayfair's lense and slip into first which sounds very nice....and as you rip thru the first 3 and he is calling his mum, this is why you put an engine in a lambretta of this sort!!! cheers mate
Andrew totally agree with you. I got 4 lambretta restore like original innocenti. I do not understand who want to modify an old scooter with modern tecnology no part of the original project of Innocenti. If someone wanna get more power than buy a modern 4 stroke scooter. At the end is less expensive.
@@adrianobonaldo8941 and where is the fun in that. Standard Lambretta’s are dangerously slow, and for obvious reasons have never evolved over the years from the factory because it’s not there, if they were they’d have done there best to keep pushing the performance to stay competitive in the market. If you want a bike then buy one but if you want a good performing Lambretta you’ve got to modify and tune it. There’s nothing better then the sound of well set up tuned Lambretta, and with the parts available and people like Darrell you can have hp and good reliability too.
@@christophersturgess4064 ok I respect your opinion but I think of You wanna drive lambretta you have to accept to drive slowly that mean 100 km/h. More is quite dangereous. You can do everything but at the end remain an old Madame of more the 50 years. That"s all. Another aspect is the quality of the job they done. This is out of discussion is very good indeed. Very talented engineer. Listening to him you immediately have complete faith in his work. Great business.
He’s the man in tuning at the moment.

This man does nothing short of alchemy on these 60 year old design motors 👍
i have a lambretta tunned by darrell,top workmanship,very happy,
Impressive approach and a great pedigree.
That inlet manifold is like a work of art.
Awesome. Did I hear right £6k?
Does what it says on the tin and the after sales service is second to none.
I have a spare smoke alarm if Darrel ever gets fed up of that chirp every 40 seconds🤪
I think it was his C02 meter :)
