I hope you're not implying that this faithful minister's having to resign from the UMC because of his love for his Savior and Lord is not as important front-page news as the Coronavirus and so-called global warming stories.
@@edwardwiegand6925 Of course I'm implying that. It's these self-indulgent, inward-looking obsessions and schisms that (among many other factors) undermine the credibility of the Church and bring it into disrepute.
Thank the Lord for your faith and commitment. When my entire young adults class resigned from the UMC in 1970, we didn't have a choice if we were to remain true to the Holy Scriptures. The new minister admitted that he didn't believe in the virgin birth, the bodily resurrection, the second coming, and only joined the clergy because he needed a job. We established a Free Methodist Church and finally gravitated to Baptist churches since then, but we would have preferred to join a Bible centered Wesleyan congregation if it had been available.
What a tragedy that faithful, committed and Biblically faithful servants of God are having to make such difficult decisions because "leadership" in the UMC have chosen to remain silent while Biblical fidelity is maligned, politicized and even blasphemed under the dubious, rainbow banner of LGBTQIA++ "inclusiveness." The more these credential resignations happen the more questionable the UMC purpose becomes.
I wish we could stir away from the term “traditionalist” theology. As Methodists we are a people of Holiness. I consider myself liberal, not to be defined by anyone but God. To stand in the historic Faith of the Church is neither conservative or progressive; rather a mode of righteousness! Standing against homosexuality (not the people) is a liberal and progressive move, if we must label. That lifestyle is regressive not progressive.
Thank you for your integrity and faithfulness to our Lord Jesus and the UMC. Yes, sadly, John Wesley would be shocked by the Marxism and vile practices that have taken over the UMC. They have left the faithful no choice, but to depart and start a new fellowship.
Well if Bishops and Clergy were of Biblical teachings and followed Jesus Christ more instead of this sinful secular world, we would not have to be in this position, would we? Much respect for Rev. Jay for stepping down from the UMC, and for standing up for Jesus Christ.
Thank you
I love the oblivious irony that they recorded this with a backdrop of American flags with not a single cross in sight hahahaha
I see a cross in the WCA logo
God bless you sir!
Hold the front page! Spike the Ukraine, COVID and global warming stories! Methodist minister RESIGNS!!!

I deduce that you're a serial troublemaker. As a hardline fundamentalist and Calvinist, what were you doing in the UMC in the first place??

God will bless you. Stand strong, stay true to God's word.
May The Good Lord continue to bless you and your family!
Some Weslyans are going woke as well!

Thank you Jay for your ministry and your faithfulness! Keep the faith!
God bless you for standing firm! The world needs more good men like you, Jay.

Just more meaningless division
