I've been using iMovie since I was in college 2000...I use FCP but iMovie is bae
I have been using Imovie for about a year for all my YT videos.
Super helpful video! I am pretty good with iMovie but this showed me a lot of things I have been wondering about but could not figure out how to do.
8 months now but i use my phone for now so i guess, what am learning can only be done with a computer
Been using imovie for about 5 years but just started UA-cam in June 2019 and started using it on a more consistent basis so about 10 months on a regular basis
I remember wanting to get a mac 10 years ago to have iMovie and edit videos for free and giving up because it didn't have everything I needed. You've just given me everything I needed to make semi-decent videos!

Looks like imovie has improved quite a bit. For people who are doing basic edits with a bit of the functionality of final cut pro or a similar editing software, this looks like a good option!
It’s really great for quick projects or on a slower Mac. If I shoot with good lighting and have some extra shots planned out…iMovie will do the job.

Been using iMovie between the iPhone and MacBook for several years now, but I learned a few things in this video. I wasn't aware of the keyframes and didn't know that you could select a range to mute a small section without splitting the clip. Thanks. I'll definitely use those.

Hey Nolan - thanks for another awesome video! Quick question - how are you recording the video overlay as a second video while you show yourself editing? I noticed you zoom etc. on just your picture-in-picture (which looks great!) and I'd like to achieve the same effect. Are you recording a camera and then syncing the screencast with the video or are you recording both at once somehow? Thanks!

This was very helpful for me who's been stumbling through iMovie for just a couple of months. I especially liked the cloning (not that I want to see two of me or even one!) and also the export tips. I've been frustrated going from the iMac resolution to the UA-cam resolution and the key will be to use the custom setting! Thank you!

This is great! I’ve been using iMovie for three days. Switched to a Mac after using a PC my entire life and just 6 days in. Definately a learning curve. Question, after I practiced the audio editing you showed now my music sounds when I scroll the timeline thru the clips. How do I turn that off?
