  • This time I'm tackling a cross-stitch I have had for a very long time! Titania, Queen of the Fairies by Mirabilia. This one was love at first sight and I'm super excited to finally feel ready to take it on!!

This was one of the first cross stitch pattern I purchased back in the days. I've had my pattern just as long as you without working it..lol. I just started working mine, after painting my Adia cloth to colors that I hope will compliment the pattern better than a solid background. I just came back to cross stitching in July 2020. I hope we both get satisfaction from completing it.

She has been so much fun! I hope you enjoy working on this one. I'm hoping to finish VERY soon! Then I'll get a vid up to share my thoughts on it! Happy stitching, Alma!! 😀

I have this one in my collection but haven't done it yet. I have done Fairy Flora which I finished in a month. What took the longest was the wings with all the beads.
Lately I've been busy creating my own designs but I would like to do another Mirabilia soon.

Fairy Flora looks stunning in the pictures! 😍 Her wings do look tough. I think the wings for Titania are taking me longer than the whole rest did. 😔 Getting there though. Hoping for a finish vid this month!

I just ordered my first Mirabilia pattern. It will be the first time I take on a non-beginner project and I have no idea which fabric to purchase; linen? jobelan? Lugana? Help! And I agree with you totally on the background color. The one on the package is way too dark. Love your choice!

That's great! I'm so excited for you. As for the fabric, it really comes down to person preference. Having said that, I think being your first more advanced project that an Evenweave or the Jobelan might be a good choice. Here is a great site that describes all the different types of fabrics really well, it might be helpful: bit.ly/3hvmTrw. Of course, you could always look for the color you like with your pattern first then find the fabric type that offers the color (not all colors will be available in all fabric types so sometimes that helps narrow it down).
Best of luck! Keep me updated on how you're going with it. :)
