I really appreciate your discussion of anchoring the thread behind the work and on the needle. I have watched numerous beading videos where this wasn't discussed. That is what I needed to know.
Thank you so much for making this video!!! Spring Queen is even more beautiful close up! I decided that I'm going to practice first by doing a Mill Hill kit of a watering can to see how it goes. Right now, my stitchy spot is on the living room couch and I sit here and watch TV or movies with my family while I stitch. If I were to stitch Spring Queen with all the bead work, I would have to choose a different stitchy spot with no one running around and knocking things over. I will do it one day, but I need to work out the logistics first. Thanks again so very much for making this video!!!
I have not beaded yet. I am glad you show us how to do it. I do know that thread is slippery and anchoring the thread behind other threads is just the trick I am glad to have just learned from you. Thank you.
This is such a helpful video! I haven't beaded on a Mirabilia yet so I didn't think about whether or not to use invisible thread, matching floss, etc. I do love beading though! thanks for the shout out and as always I enjoyed this video a ton :)
Just beautiful. BTW, what type of fabric is that? I would love to start a Mirabilia but can only seem to find the patterns only. I'm pretty new to cross stitch but only have done complete kits. Thanks!
Thank you for your kindness! It is a hand dyed evenweave fabric from an Australian company, Country Stitch, but Im not sure of the name of the fabric itself
+Diann Call Good question! I would love to see a video like that myself! But I think size 11 o is what the Mill Hills are, the petites are size 15 o, and not sure what the Magnifica size is. Delicas are more uniform in size and tend to fit better on 28 and 32ct, and there are Toho beads which are very nice too, as well as other brands I probably dont even know about. Such a video would be awesome though!
+Debra Locke it is 28ct "Periwinkle" by Country Stitch, which is in Australia, and Kirsten and I bought the same fabrics for our queens around 10 years ago, so Im not sure if it's still around? But it is a true periwinkle color in real life

Great video! Is there a video out there that addresses bead size per stitch count, and brands of beads best for cross stitching?
