Love the 401, but the 701 is kind of a letdown. I'd love for Husqvarna to bring the Nuda design back. The 701 lacks a streamlined design which the Nuda had.
I want this bike, I just looked at one hmmmmmmmmmm next purchase I'm thinking.... Any one out there own one give me some feedback?

I like very much the bikes but don't like the way they relate with people with this advert, pushing bikes that their head communication responsible declared, at EICMA where there were presented in late 2014, that the bikes won't be ready to sell them in TWO YEARS, maybe late 2016, for sure in 1017! this ad is just to push the brand, not the really the bikes.
there is something not clear in all this. if know something about production and strictly related marketing as they are nowadays, two years could be close to eternity (this statement is of course an exaggeration to provoke, but not too much far from truth) for what concerne NEW PRODUCTS and INNOVATION - for the exception of all the programs of something revolutionary that could last - as new - for years to come afterwards. and clearly this is not the case of these bikes. for me Husqvarna would have been more serious and honest to say: it's just a concept bike we are working on at the moment, we do not know if how and when they were realized for production.
because otherwise if you really know a bike it's gonna be produced and how it will be made, for marketing psychology and production programming that's have to happen no more than in one year. also because it would be interesting to know what they're gonna do in the making of these bikes in two years. they'll find a way them to fly? maybe they are thought to mount such components that today could cost a fortune, and they hope in two years to have them at reasonable price.
that's the only realistic reason I can find to posticipate the exit of an almost ready bike - because these two are much more that a concept bike, looks like most of the details could be on a production line, not just something like a prototype almost handmade by artisan bike customizers as alway concept bikes are. I repeat my strong sensation: there is something wrong and not clear about that.
Don't Make them 401 in the States, that won't sell for anything. If we had endless areas of City to maneuver through at relatively lower speeds that weren't demanding and that didn't require riding 80 miles per day on a lower average...
We need quick power without staining the motor and longevity in the motor for any bike. People drive fast and they play with phones all day. When you buy a bike for transportation, it's a compromise of two major factors; speed vs size. The bike couldn't get out ahead of a oblivious driver starting at 75 MPH.
That's what some people don't understand about bikes over here... if you give up your one life saving feature in speed, you're compromised. We aren't taxed by displacement, so please put the 701 motor in the bike for the states or not many will sell at all.
Love the design of both, but I'd prefer the Svartpilen to have the 701 at least.
