  • The Svartpilen and Vitpilen are now divided not just by body styles but engine capacity too (for India). While Bajaj sees business sense in doing that, will the India market see any value in the Husqvarna motorcycles this time around? Watch the video to understand our perspective.

I dunno how hard is to bring tubeless spoke wheels while beemers and kawasakis are doing it so good

It's expensive. That's why. Even RE hasn't brought the tubeless option yet to India. It's patented tech and very few companies have it and make it.

Yet another fabulous presentation from Rohit, as always. I somehow feel Husqvarna should bring a Norden 401 (typed before I reached the Nordan part in the video) 😄

The comment you made on the ABS, that it's not self learning one, can you elaborate on that? Would love to learn more about that? is it a pro or con and can it be altered 2-3 years down the line?

Finally the manufacturers are coming to their senses in India. They need to understand spending 4L on a bike is still aspirational thing in India. So If I putting down 4 big ones on a motorcycle,I would prefer it to look like a 4 L motorcycle, substantially bigger dimensionwise than average commuter. Raxing DNA, Core Chassis electronic all is good but you cannot default on the most basic thing which is size. And there are people with 6 feet height in India like myself so I would appreciate if manufacturers starts making bikes which dont like a toy when we are riding it.
They are coming to senses slowly with New Himalayan and now Husqvarna. Hopefully others will follow the suit.

As always a nice crisp review and yet to you have covered many aspects of the bike. Kudos. The idea of a Norden 401 is just delicious. I really thought they went with 17in fr and rear on this cos they are saving the 19in front for a Norden. I guess the brand needs to do well here for them to justify bringing it as well. But other way to look at it would be, the Adv segment is hot and there for the taking, so pushing one through will make more sense and could help boost sales for the brand. I really do hope they do and would love to see the Husq brand do well here in India.

I am considering buying a 400cc bike but confused between Harley 440x and Svartpilen 401. I need a bike for city rides and night rides with friends. You have reviewed both the bikes which would be better for delhi heat and traffic .

I think in US we still have the 401 in Svart and Vitpilen. With that said. I like the seat changes, the display change. But the character and look, I prefer the older bike. It makes a tough decision.

Rohit , this one at 3.4lakhs on road without alloys wont do any magic. if price correction to be done to get on road at 3 with alloys this will sell like hot cakes, the speed 400at 2.9 on road is much better proposition

Greed to sell more Happened. It used to look cool now its looking like uncle ji.
Old ones were better looking, compact & awesome.

The new 250 still has alloy wheels and the old 401 always had wire spoke rims. That has not changed. The tyre hugger did not look good but the overall styling was nicer. Why do you want riding modes in a bike with this performance level? Connectivity would be nice to have to answer the phone or use navigation.

@@medsedled Looks like you're just a couch potato. That's why you have no idea of real world usage.
Yes Svartpilen always had spoke everywhere across the globe. I live in India. And most of all do not want to get stuck on highway when touring due to a leaked tube. Fixing a tube in a random nowhere is no joke.
Alloys is my personal preference because they look good (no doubt). But at least tubeless spoke rim would have been nice.
Riding modes are best when you know that you'll be changing tyres according to requirements. Not everyone is going to use the bike for one kind of daily trips. Riding mode will help counter those issues with different tyres and ridding patterns.
Connectivity is something no one can deny is not useful. If you think what I'm asking is unjustified. Maybe you are broke or are still living in stone age.
FYI Remember: It's still a KTM inside. We expect it to be more capable. But you can continue riding your Bajaj Platina 🤣

It’s a sad shame you need that front registration number plate on the front of your bikes in India. Totally spoils the look of a bike! At least I think so.
