I have seen this work first hand with a friend. I can not encourage enough for anyone with depression to look into this as a possible way to improve your life.
There is currently a trial in progress go to clinical trials.gov search by vagal nerve stimulation or treatment resistant depression. Why not talk to your Psychiatrist about if this is right for you.
My Physiotherapist does this for me but I’m in 🇬🇧, I don’t have the implant but I get a treatment whenever I feel I need it but it’s changed my mood and chronic pain for the better
Hi all. Here’s my update. I’ve been fighting insurance for 4 years to get coverage without success. I’ve been scheduled for surgery several times but had to cancel. It’s been the most traumatizing experience ever. Please pray for me that the hospital donates the surgery to me. My neurosurgeon ready happily decided to donate surgery to me. And I got the vns donated to me! I still need the hospital to agree. PLEASE pray for me that they say yes. Everything depends on this.
I know this is a year old but, they have a new VNS clinical trial. The page said it was in being done in Alabama. I just wrote them a message and, I'm waiting for them to pass it over to someone who does the intake process (Or whatever it is).
@@shorezee1253 Didnt know vns was a treatment for congestive heart failure. Thx Im seriously considering vns for my lifetime debilitating depressive/sleep symptoms.
@@nancneumann4196 it was a clinical trial I was in. I do wish you all the best brother, the depression feeds the sleeplessness and the sleeplessness feeds the depression it’s a vicious cycle that feeds itself so I hope you get all the help you need my friend. Good luck
I’m in the UK and my Physiotherapist treats my vagus nerve with some electrical device, I’ve had chronic pain and low mood since a bereavement a few years ago and my health has felt on a decline but since having this treatment I feel amazing as I didn’t know the vagus nerve runs through all organs and can cause all sorts of problems
I know that Dr Sarah Bick in TN, USA does this. You need to have a VNS-psychiatrist guide the princess and be there for you in your hometown to control the titrations.
