    Could you please do a video about changing the spark plugs on this car? I also have the same car Suzuki SX4, and I would like to try to do all the basic maintenance by myself

      I’ll try. My sister lives all the way in Southern California so I don’t see her often. When she comes by I’ll try to convince her again.

      @ Arshad Khalid: YT user Volvosweden has a nice tutorial on this subject. His SX4 is a J20A engine, but is about the same for the J20B. And do regap the new plugs (they never come with the correct gap). I use DENSO TT (p/n IKH16TT ( 4703 ) , gapped @ 0.044"). Hope this info helps.

    Could anyone recommend what brand type of auto oil should I use? How many liter?

    That’s the reason it wasn’t very tight because you can’t get to it to tighten it lol

    • @Sals_Garage
      @Sals_Garage  3 роки тому +2

      Atleast there is an O ring in there to prevent leaks.

    • @helenabuell6885
      @helenabuell6885 3 роки тому +1

      Yes I know because I just replaced one myself and the only way I could tighten it was with a screwdriver and a hammer and give it a couple of soft taps after you and hand tighten it

      Glad you figured it out. Good thinking 👍

      @@helenabuell6885 you can easily tighten it by hand (especially the fram filter) only by underneath tho.
      Never had a problem and I had to use a filter tool to get it loose.

      Worst filter location ever! I go from the top. Moved the heat shield a bit. Flex head ratchet with filter removal tool works well.

    OH NO !!!! The worst oil filter is going in. Hopefully nothing will happen, but I'd rather use another brand: Wix or Purolator Boss.

      Oh, dang. I’ll let my sister know since she is probably due for another oil change soon. We just randomly chose the worst brand lol. Thank you for the recommendation.

      @@Sals_Garage If going for the Purolator Boss, the filter number is BPL14477 or PL14477 which is the PureOne line, and for Wix it is 57145 or 57145XP. May I ask: how many miles does it have?

    • @Sals_Garage
      @Sals_Garage  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks for the part numbers! I believe it was around 100k miles.

      @@Sals_Garage When it's time for her next change, may I recommend Liqui-Moly Pro-Line Engine Flush (10 minute idle after warmup) , drain and refill with a good quality 5w30 (synthetic if possible). I also have an SX4 (2013) and have done most of its maintenance work myself. Contact me for any additional info you may need.

    Those cars are the WORST to perform an oil change, worst EVER. Sucks. Nearly impossible to get to the filter. Best to use the K&N filters with a “nut” welded on, allowing for vice grips or some large “pliers.”

    • @Sals_Garage
      @Sals_Garage  4 місяці тому +2

      Agreed! I don’t understand the oil filter placement, too tight to fit two hands in there.
