Love their milking system and you can see they've invested a lot to make their operation run smooth. It's nice to see an operation that big and running so smoothly. The children know what's going on and can easily give you a tour. Some kids are so stuck in social media world.
I love how you talk to kids ! Lots of adults don't have genuine conversations with kids but when given the chance, kids know a lot and love to share what they know Love how you like to have a genuine conversation, I find it so sweet!
I started watching your videos during the pandemic and ended up starting from the beginning. I'm sitting here in 9/2021 almost freaking out because you were in NZ when it all went down. It's crazy to think how nuts this has all been.
He was so smart, knowledgeable, and articulate! His parents must be so proud of him. Sandi, I really liked how you gave him camera time, and treated him as a farmer and not just some kid.
What a nice, proud young man...and certainly has been paying attention to how the farm and equipment works. So nice of you to in gage him into the conversation and vlog. I am sure it was a rewarding day to be able to be a “ real” part of the day and entire visit. Thanks Sandi.
Wow what a great Milking System. So automated. That Young Man is so knowledgeable. Bet he's going to be a Farmer when he grows up. Peace Be With You My Friend ☮️
My 81 year old mum and my step father have just left on a 10 day holiday to Golden bay. It is a fantastic place, especially in the autumn when the weather is not so volatile. There is a Cobb power station up there. It was the first place in the world to do on site x ray weld checking when they built the penstocks in the early 1940's.
Have only recently come across your channel and was so happy to see you came to New Zealand! Very different from Canada but both beautiful in their own ways. I'm glad you enjoyed your time here.
You can so tell that your a parent. You have such a way with kids ❤ Happy to see you having so much fun learning about farms and things there. Its really cool how they explain everything in detail. And they have things similar to what you have for your sheep. Have fun abd thanks for sharing your vacation with Mark with us ❤ Much love to you both from the USA
Sandi & Mark - Good video of the dairy farm. The young man giving the tour did a great job. You can tell he's proud of what his family is doing. Blessings to you and the family.
Hola. You asked if that were "corn" silage. He hesitated, in New Zealand they call it "Maize" (corn original meaning was for all grains, that was used before Europeans knew the "maize") Only in USA and Canada call it "corn" I think this is a cute thing
HeySandi, I have loved watching the videos of you and Mark in NZ. Loved seeing all the beautiful land scape and the animals. The milking shed was way cool! Thanks for taking us along!
You have made such interesting videos on your tour. I’m looking forward to the next lambing and seeing your tractors back in the fields, but I have truly enjoyed this too.
I haven't finished watching this video but I wanted to say something. Sandi, I've been watching all your videos in order over the last few weeks, getting to know you, your family, and your sheep, and I have been anxiously anticipating getting to this week in your vlog, the weekend just before our lives were turned completely upside down. I'm watching this video in November 2021 and I'm just cringing with anxiety waiting to see what happens to you and Mark when covid blows up and the lockdown hits. I'm a mom too and with the fear and worry I had for myself and my kid I was a royal mess at that time. You seem to be a similar kind of mother as me and we have similar emotional patterns so I am just wishing I could reach through the video and comfort you. Wish I could comfort all of us who have gone through the last one and three quarters years scared for our families. Watching current videos as you put them out I can see your family seems to have gotten through it ok, but back then we had no idea what was going to happen. So scary. ❤️
Hi again SANDI What a great place for you both to visit. Great technology nice clean place and smart cows. Your young tour guide was smart too! Think of all the education you're going back home with. Great trip all in all except for the ferry... Thanks so much as always for sharing your getaway. Feels a bit like a mini vacation for me here...
I am always amaze to see how much work is required for live stock management. I have seen a automated dairy farm east of ottawa, loved it. I admire your commitement. 👍👍👍
Wylie is a bundle of knowledge about the farm. Such a huge operation, 700? wow, and I always thought of my mother's family farm was big at 100 head milking. Hope you made it home safely!
@@julzr1567 I am not sure we have a lot of farms in Ontario that are that size. That is a lot, because then there are the up & coming cows. My cousin who runs the farm now, lost his barn roof due to snow coverage about the same time Sandi lost her roof. However not as easy to replace the barn roof as Sandi's was.
Thank you so much for sharing! It's been a dream of mine to go there and visit for a long time now and your videos have made it more intriguing for me.
Thanks for that great video very interesting you're a great teacher it was explained very good the same way you do when you explain the sheep thank you 👍🇺🇸
That is a large farm and they must collect plenty of milk from those cows and raise many calves as well. You all got to see so much there and learned so much also about how they run their farm.
omg that was so neat to see! thank you for showing us this, I am totally amazed! it's videos like this that shed a ray of light for a moment in this dark time! xoxo
Just make sure you come back to us safely please....lol The hubby too... I'm sure you are worried about the your daughter but she seems smart so I'm sure you have faith in her to stay safe...It looks like you are making the most of your trip at such a stressful time.. Stay safe and I'm loving the vlogs 🥰🥰👍👍
Some setup I'm amazed at the machinery on that farm here in Ireland we have farming press & advisory service that are infatuated with NZ dairy farming, they keep telling us they have the same weather, no machinery on the farms, I'm thinking BS,excellent video Sandy👍

Ik its so cute :>
Dude, nobody cares about your cows
@@lindaamaral1191 huh ?
That's a future farmer in the making! One day he'll tell stories of the Canadian couple who came to visit and how he gave them an excellent tour....
I started watching your videos during the pandemic and ended up starting from the beginning. I'm sitting here in 9/2021 almost freaking out because you were in NZ when it all went down. It's crazy to think how nuts this has all been.
This young man really knows his stuff. His family must be very proud of him!
What a smart cutie! That young man loved that he was giving you a tour of things on the farm.
bahaha what a smart boy!! He's so knowledgeable and just talking about how much its rained is so sweet.
He was so smart, knowledgeable, and articulate! His parents must be so proud of him. Sandi, I really liked how you gave him camera time, and treated him as a farmer and not just some kid.
Wonderful video, Sandi! Loved see this dairy farm, Wylie's tour, and the milking operation! The technology is awesome!
Very cool setup. Young lad was a pretty good tour guide.
What a Handsome Young Tour Guide you had. 👍
This is what you get when your kids are part of the process, this cute little price is so smart and knowledgeable.
What a nice, proud young man...and certainly has been paying attention to how the farm and equipment works. So nice of you to in gage him into the conversation and vlog. I am sure it was a rewarding day to be able to be a “ real” part of the day and entire visit. Thanks Sandi.

I absolutely just love your channel... I have always loved animals and especially farm animals... they’re so relaxing... I wish you the best of luck❤️
Those are some of the prettiest Cows, their clean, shiny, look how full their hips are. Gorgeous ladies.

Clever boy, he give you a good explanation, he has good future in farming
I can't help but think that cows are just big dogs. They are the cutest. Also that milking machine is so cool. Never seen a spinning one like that.
🤣
Farm kids are so much more mature than city kids. Good on ya Wiley.
Sandi & Mark - Good video of the dairy farm. The young man giving the tour did a great job. You can tell he's proud of what his family is doing. Blessings to you and the family.
That is one high tech milk farm. Very impressive. Thanks for showing us Sandi.
One person to milk 700 cows. WOW!!!
Beautiful country to visit. I’m so sorry your trip was cut short. Thank you for sharing.

Miss you. Glad you're back.
Slick.. a cool little operation for a tiny wee at the bottom of the world country. Come back any time..
You have made such interesting videos on your tour. I’m looking forward to the next lambing and seeing your tractors back in the fields, but I have truly enjoyed this too.
No worries, Dad, Wylie has everything under control. Great young farmer, good job!
Reminds me of Switzerland where people are so used to the mountains and I'm like, " Look at your mountains!", and they are like, "Yea,so?"

when Wiley leaves the house, he tell his father ‘youre the man of the house now’
Your tour guide was wonderful. Such a cute manner of speaking. His dad's got a good one there. Pretty impressive all around. Thanks for sharing.
Such an informative young man! He will make an awesome UA-camr one day. Great video, keep up the awesome content.
My wife says the land cruiser is to be delivered to Pennsylvania. She will give it a good home and will give weekly updates.

What an excellent well run farm. Such kind hard workers. The kids are gorgeous.
Thank you for sharing this wonderful video, the milking Parlor was amazing! 👍🏼😍
Great video Sandy. Sure hope they have a backup power generator...wouldn’t want to milk ~700 cows by hand lol
Love your camper
Another FANTASTIC vlog. Thanks
Ok I have to go do laundry, but wanted to say CUTEST KID EVER!! He needs a channel!! Lol. I'll b back to watch the rest when my chores are done!!
Must be fun talking to other farmers, in other countries.
Your young tour guide is very knowledgeable for a young buckaroo.... awesome footage... love it!
Wow! What a set-up for production milking!
I am always amaze to see how much work is required for live stock management. I have seen a automated dairy farm east of ottawa, loved it. I admire your commitement. 👍👍👍
I so enjoy their accents , yours too by the way . So happy 😁 you and Mark got to enjoy this wonderful vacation together !
Sandi enjoyed this video !!!! I enjoyed the dairy farm and the great landscape . THANKS !!!!
Wow so shiny and healthy! Love that young farmer.
They look great!
Wylie is a bundle of knowledge about the farm. Such a huge operation, 700? wow, and I always thought of my mother's family farm was big at 100 head milking. Hope you made it home safely!
Serendipity 700 is actually average. Lots of dairy farms here in nz have upwards of 1k even up to 3-4K. We have a small one at 400.
@@julzr1567 I am not sure we have a lot of farms in Ontario that are that size. That is a lot, because then there are the up & coming cows. A very impressive operation, look like you're enjoying the little vacation. I think you deserve it .
I bet Jess is green with envy (jealous) that you are living and sleeping in a campervan :-)
We got in the Wagu at Costco here in SoCal and yes the steaks are rather pricey. So Wagu is a breed not a company nice to know
Thank you
Enjoy your well deserved Vacation Sandy.
Thank you so much for sharing! It's been a dream of mine to go there and visit for a long time now and your videos have made it more intriguing for me.
That was such a cool setup. Really enjoyed this segment
Wow, that computer system to track the dairy cows is amazing!
Fascinating operation. Thought of Billy and his kids when I saw the cows ! Safe travels.
It's really beautiful in NZ but I'm excited to see your sheep back home again 😉
