    The resident parking only sign was only quick but a superb inclusion. Cheers Rich.

    You've been very inspiring so far Rich. I've been trying to get into shape for marathons too, but had an injury that set me back. Watching you persevering through setbacks has been wonderful for my own efforts. Looking forward to keeping up with your journey!

    Nice one, Rich! Just watched today’s episode, as well. Nice job getting those miles in! I’m dealing with (another) lower back injury, so I will have to live vicariously through you for a few days while I heal up.

      Hello Blake! Thank you very much for continuing to keep the view counts up! Very sorry to hear about the lower back. I hope my increasing irritability and frustration will assist in your recovery

    I too am currently having an issue with the plumber who "fixed" the hose on the washing machine, which then caused our kitchen sink tap-water to taste chemically, so he was supposed to come back on Friday to sort it and didn't, meaning all the stuff we'd cleared out the cupboard to make the stopcock accessible gets to sit there all weekend. This is relatable content.

    • @TheRichKeeble
      @TheRichKeeble  7 місяців тому +1

      oh no! Very sorry to hear that. So annoying isn't it! I'm always happy to be relatable but my feelings are mixed when someone is experiencing such similar irritation! Hope they sort it! Do you have to pay for your plumber? We rent so at least it's covered by landlord. Oh, we also had a leak from upstairs flat! But that's for another video...

    • @yellowfolder
      @yellowfolder 7 місяців тому +1

      @@TheRichKeeble we rent, so landlord/letting agents. I'd probably be more miffed if I was paying.

      @@yellowfolder yeah same. Although at least maybe I'd feel like an adult

    Sounds like there’s a lot going off! Don’t worry still plenty of time to dial in that marathon pace. I’ve only just started training for Manchester today! First long run in ages.

      Thanks for checking it out William! I've still got a few weeks haven't I... so let's see. Ah good luck to you! Although you're already starting from a much more advanced place then I am!

    Pierogi such a great shout. Will waddle over to Biedronka.
    3.07 is a huge target for the marathon, keep it up mate!

      Sounds lovely! Thanks Stephen - I'm still training with the sub 3:10 goal in mind... but we'll see how realistic it is in a couple of months!

    You may not have noticed Rich, but it appears the Beanie light has fallen off. Good work getting the runs in. Going well 💪💪

      Thank you Martin! Things have gone a bit awry since I made this video sadly. As for the light, I think it's just as effective if not attached

    Good job getting in what you can despite real life, a lot of running channels often only show the positives which is not very realistic. You can only do what you can do and there are many things more important than following a plan. Now you are a few weeks in - do you think you're still realistically on target for 3:10? Do you have any "predictor" workouts/races planned to see where you are at at any stage along the way? I'm flying a bit blind, hitting 75-80% of the training plan, a bit under the weather for a couple of weeks and entered a few races which will have to be in lieu of the long run so I feel fit but no idea if I'm on target or not.

    • @TheRichKeeble
      @TheRichKeeble  7 місяців тому +1

      hi Daeve! ah thanks, yeah I like to show some hard realism! ha! I believe we spoke on Strava didn't we about me recently skipping a couple of workouts... I feel like I should be still on target if I have a good few weeks and I'm careful... but I will reassess closer to the time and if I feel I'd benefit from running a little slower I will. In terms of races, I'm doing Brighton Half in a couple of weeks so I suppose that will be useful to see where I am (I guess I should be doing that close to 90 mins...?!). That race will replace a long long run... well done on hitting 80% of the plan... I think most people have to miss some and probably hit less than that. Which races are you doing?

    Hi, wonderful editing, any reason for the goal time? Or just fancied it? I’ll be doing Brighton marathon too 😊

    • @TheRichKeeble
      @TheRichKeeble  7 місяців тому

      Thanks Andrew! Ah wonderful - maybe see you there! I chose 3:10 as it felt like it may be doable following a good training block - putting a recent race into VDOT/Jack Daniels suggested it could be possible, and my current tempo and interval training paces seem to line up with VDOT and with the Ben Parkes paces for the 3:10 goal training plan. Also I ran 3:39 in April 2023 after only a 12 week plan which had immediately followed a month off with achilles issues, and I feel/felt that I was starting this 15 week block already at a much higher fitness level. However, in a few weeks if it's too ambitious I'll adjust my race day pace accordingly, and I'd probably be happy just to improve on that previous time tbh

    Assuming you’ll struggle with the marathon as it’ll be in the daylight and you seem to now exclusively run in the pitch black.

    • @TheRichKeeble

      You're absolutely right. The gun'll go off and I'll start doing some admin or pick the kids up from somewhere, heading back to start the race at 10pm, confused at the lack of other runners
