This hit close to home as my son wasn't/isn't much of a social talker. He's still often quiet/soft-spoken but he's better than he was. Thank you for pointing out that people do change, just because you have met someone doesn't mean you know them etc. Also, people do behave differently around different people and in different situations and places. People tend to forget these things. You seem like a smart, creative and sweet person - I like your voice by the way.

And I think that's why I appreciate her channel so much more than your average vlog & hobby channel. If you watch, many of the long-term creators in recent years who have an open relationship with their communities, have come out and talked about this sort of thing, and I'd wager there's even more that could as well. It's a trend in youtube serving as a sort of panacea or tool in pushing beyond personal roadblocks (and yes, it's a struggle, especially when you get big enough to get 'trolls' regularly), but overall, it has had a positive influence on these people's lives... or maybe I'm just projecting my internal thoughts and feelings on these situations lol.
Jamie you see how many subs you have that's how many people love and care about you the number of your subs goes up by the minute and don't worry about the rude comments cause inside and out you are truly a wonderful person.
I totally get you. I get plenty of hate comments about my voice too. Don't worry about what those rude people say behind a screen. They really don't matter. I know it's hard to get used to strangers hating on you and it's not something anyone should have to get used to, but I promise it gets easier and you realize those opinions don't mean a thing. I had close friends that dropped me whenever I was going through a really hard time because I wasn't fun to hang out with. Not just acquaintances, we're talking best friends. It hurts when those who supposedly love you the most do a 180 on you. Thank you for sharing your story and kudos for being able to tell people to stop treating you poorly. 💜

same, didn't understand why she needs subtitles but this the only video I've seen to be fair. ... apparently people were just real jerks to her because she sounds perfectly normal to me, and honestly I sometimes have trouble hearing in my day to day life, I was actually deaf for the first couple years of my life, sometimes I think I still am lol but this girl is A-okay know what I mean, who's been messing with her? people can be such asses!
Because people don't understand that the words they type in comments on the Internet can actually emotionally effect people. Or they do and are just evil.
Because some people who bully a mute will not understand why one simply cannot say one word, or some people get really annoyed and blame or humilate the person for not speaking loud enough. Some people will just get frustrated or angry or just think it's "utterly stupid" in their opinion, if they find you not being able to speak up. It's just some people will not understand there are people out there entirely different from them.. and that is okay. Although now we can clearly see her subscribers embracing her for who she is. that's all that matters :)
Cause sometimes people are unhappy about a certain aspect in their lives so they feel the need to make others just as miserable as themselves. People are hurting internally and sometimes, they don't know how to deal with it, but to hurt others.

I have never been able to relate to someone as much as I was able to you. I also didn't say a single word during school from about second grade to sophomore year and your words "I do not have a practiced voice, I have a voice that has been quiet for a very long time" got me very emotional...idk why... Not only that but I also have a build-a-bear bear on my bed and tsum tsum to the right of my bed (Just went to watch your wedding and now I'm back!) OMG your wedding was too perfect and cute I was literally about to get teary. You danced to You've Got A Freind In Me! ahhh that was cute. I wish I knew you, was invited to your wedding, and could've helped you with the decorations.......why am I so weird (BTW I'm also a Disney fan...if you haven't already noticed). I never comment on any videos, so this is really rare for me...I also don't comment because I'm sure you probably won't read this. I think this might be like my tenth comment ever in my UA-cam History, and like you, I started as a fan and now make videos, so I've been on here for quite a long time. I can relate to Arlette's comment and your experiences too. I am very awkward at speaking, I am very self conscious about how I sound both in person and recorded because I was bullied very bad I sort of developed this personality where I just do not feel a need to speak or participate in social situations. So I can really relate to "I do not have a practiced voice" too... my voice is awkward, and quiet, and cracks when I get excited cause I'm honestly not used to speaking for extended periods. Just wanted to respond so you know, you are definitely not alone and I'm sorry that people are so insecure they feel the need to bully you for being unique :( You're very cute IMO and I like your videos.
so true, i was bullied once in middle school and i thought once i graduated, all the humiliation would just be washed away naturally and it wouldnt really affect me in the future, and then it turned out that i hadn't talked for so long that my voice shakes a lot when i talk in front of people and i became so much more introverted. the good thing is, not everybody is that mean and not understanding along the way in high school, i have met friends who are nice and relate to me a lot wish the best for u guys : )

I really appreciate the subtitles, it's not because you weren't understandable or too soft, your voice is lovely and I had no problem understanding you. I just found you and I think you're wonderful and make awesome stuff! Subtitles make videos more accessible and I love watching stuff with subtitles, because I'm super easily distracted from everything, so usually I have to rewind all the time and the subtitles make it easy to find where I trailed off.

Subtitles are actually really useful for people who are hard of hearing or deaf~ As someone who can hear, I can understand her perfectly fine, but I think all youtube videos should have subtitles for those who can't.
MrStarheart2 qiseLaa mtrmoon theres a subtitles option in the settings so I dont really think she should take the time to write what shes saying herself, so having people put the subtitles themselves is easier. And by putting the subtitles yourself in the settings is more effecient seeing as u can put the subtitles in different languages, as where she only puts her subtitles in english.
mtrmoon Also if there native language is not english i doubt they will be able to read english as speaking english is easier than reading or writing it so they still would not understand. And they could put the subtitles in their language using the settings dumbass.

I find your voice the main reason I like your videos. I love your creativity and the cuteness of it all but the actual reason I go back to rewatch any of your videos is because of how relaxing and honest your voice is. I was also bullied and yes it's hard to move on from things like that. I'm glad you're giving such a good example of keep moving forward.
BananaJamana, I've never seen any of your videos before(this is actually the first time I've heard of you), but know this, there is absolutely nothing wrong with your voice or appearance. You remind me so much of a girl I went to school with that never spoke and when she did, she was always whispering. Everyone that seen or heard her would make fun of the way she spoke and the way she looked. I ended up sitting behind her in math class in 9th grade, and through the year, I made her laugh a few times. After that school year ended, and after one of my friends told me he got with her just for sex and then dumped her the last day of school... I messaged her on Facebook and told her to get on social media more often so I could talk to her. She asked me "why do you care", and I explained that I was watching everything she was going through and that I was a friend she could talk to whenever she needed to. To this day, we are still really close friends and she has even come out of her anti-social shell. Anyway, just like my friend Rebecca, everything will work out in the end. It helps having a friend around, but in your case, your viewers are your friends. - Sam

Listening to this reminded me of my friend in kindergarten, she didn't speak back then and I have never heard her speak a single word. Other classmates started bullying her and I always did my best to stand up for her, and I've always always always liked her. Fast forward, I'm in college now, I never met her again, and I still haven't heard her voice but not once did I thought of her as weird, and I honestly miss her and if only I can see her again. Your story reminded me of that friend and I hope you keep staying strong. I love your videos so much!

You always have a responsibility if you speak. Once you said something its out you cant take it back. Saying sorry doesnt work. See it as if you shoot someone. Feeling regret afterwards aint gonna help a dead body. i hope you will gain a lot more convidence. I know exaclty how you must feel, ive been through similar things and the best way to get over all this anxiety is to do exaclty what makes u so insecure and scared.

Because some people who bully a mute will not understand why one simply cannot say one word, or some people get really annoyed and blame or humilate the person for not speaking loud enough. Some people will just get frustrated or angry or just think it's "utterly stupid" in their opinion, if they find you not being able to speak up. It's just some people will not understand there are people out there entirely different from them.. and that is okay.

I also didn't say a single word during school from about second grade to sophomore year and your words "I do not have a practiced voice, I have a voice that has been quiet for a very long time" got me very emotional...idk why... I am very awkward at speaking, I am very self conscious about how I sound both in person and recorded because I was bullied very bad I sort of developed this personality where I just do not feel a need to speak or participate in social situations. So I can really relate to "I do not have a practiced voice" too... my voice is awkward, and quiet, and cracks when I get excited cause I'm honestly not used to speaking for extended periods.

so true, i was bullied once in middle school and i thought once i graduated, all the humiliation would just be washed away naturally and it wouldnt really affect me in the future, and then it turned out that i hadn't talked for so long that my voice shakes a lot when i talk in front of people and i became so much more introverted.

Subtitles make videos more accessible and I love watching stuff with subtitles, because I'm super easily distracted from everything, so usually I have to rewind all the time and the subtitles make it easy to find where I trailed off.

Subtitles are actually really useful for people who are hard of hearing or deaf~ As someone who can hear, I can understand her perfectly fine, but I think all youtube videos should have subtitles for those who can't.

And by putting the subtitles yourself in the settings is more effecient seeing as u can put the subtitles in different languages, as where she only puts her subtitles in english.

I find your voice the main reason I like your videos. I love your creativity and the cuteness of it all but the actual reason I go back to rewatch any of your videos is because of how relaxing and honest your voice is. I've never seen any of your videos before(this is actually the first time I've heard of you), but know this, there is absolutely nothing wrong with your voice or appearance. You remind me so much of a girl I went to school with that never spoke and when she did, she was always whispering. Everyone that seen or heard her would make fun of the way she spoke and the way she looked. I ended up sitting behind her in math class in 9th grade, and through the year, I made her laugh a few times. After that school year ended, and after one of my friends told me he got with her just for sex and then dumped her the last day of school... I messaged her on Facebook and told her to get on social media more often so I could talk to her. She asked me "why do you care", and I explained that I was watching everything she was going through and that I was a friend she could talk to whenever she needed to.
To this day, we are still really close friends and she has even come out of her anti-social shell.
Anyway, just like my friend Rebecca, everything will work out in the end. It helps having a friend around, but in your case, your viewers are your friends.

Listening to this reminded me of my friend in kindergarten, she didn't speak back then and I have never heard her speak a single word. Other classmates started bullying her and I always did my best to stand up for her, and I've always always always liked her. Fast forward, I'm in college now, I never met her again, and I still haven't heard her voice but not once did I thought of her as weird, and I honestly miss her and if only I can see her again. Your story reminded me of that friend and I hope you keep staying strong. I love your videos so much!
She most likely remembers you and is thankful that you, unlike everyone else, treated her right. Every time she remembers you in a good way, I'm sure you will be blessed.

more people need to understand this: theres always a reason why some one is "weird" and you never know the story. And whenever youu joke about it or hate about it, it destroys this person. You always have a responsibility if you speak. Once you said something its out you cant take it back. Saying sorry doesnt work. See it as if you shoot someone. Feeling regret afterwards aint gonna help a dead body. i hope you will gain a lot more convidence. I know exaclty how you must feel, ive been through similar things and the best way to get over all this anxiety is to do exaclty what makes u so insecure and scared.
