Personally I think the impression could do with a lot of work but what I have there is simply watching how Matt pronounces certain words and how he uses his energy to convey sentences and trying to emulate that. My advice would be to just simply watch him - not just in Doctor Who - but in anything and just listen to the sound of his voice. Try and repeat what he says, repeating it until you can pronounce things as similarly as possible and overall getting his accent right. The tone of his voice, the slight gravel that he has, should soon follow. It's finding speech pattern first and then the voice :)
