I did a test on removing old lube... I found that mineral spirits did the best job. I powder coated a bunch I had laying around for years. They turned out great! If you shoot them as is or if you melt them down to recast you win either way! Nice finds!
Nice find, I recently found at a gun show 230 grain 45 bullets for 30 bucks for 700 of them. I ended up loading them 45 Colt black powder. It's always a good day when you find some really good deal. Great find, thanks for sharing.
Those Hornady box Bullets are actually cast by someone. There could be voids in bullets besides pockets in some of those bases. Id melt those down and cast what you need. The other lead bullets from other boxes look good. If you clean those lubed bullets good you could definitely powder coat those. My dad used to mess around with those plastic cases with plastic bullets. Nice video and good score!
Those Hornady are home cast. Just melt them all. If some have cav ya can see. There is more that YA CANT SEE! Wouldnt hurt but wouldnt shoot well. The Speer had a black plastic bullet. I have/had a video
I'd use a toilet wax ring and load up those plastic cases. If you can get it xylene works really well for lube removal. And yes melt the Hornady's...Good stuff Marc 👍🏻👍🏻
Shoot em, at least a few of them to see how they do, and if they don’t fly well, melt em down. Cool find on the plastic practice cases. Just make sure the backdrop is good. Cardboard alone isn’t quite enough to save the drywall.
Looks like you had a fantastic day got some great stuff. 👍👍👍👍👍
Yes, thank you, Al!

Very cool stuff at a bargain! Thank you for sharing my friend!
Thanks for watching!
Good score. Weigh a few and load them up.

Good stuff! I would weigh and measure those bullets and see if they are really what’s on the box. The ones with the bad bases would go in my pot.
Thanks, Jamie. They turned out to be .452 and very inconsistent. Into the pot they go. New mold coming this weekend...
Heck of a score!!! I'd melt down the ones with cavities not worth risking it
Thanks, Scotsman. That's the plan. New mold coming this weekend they can fill.

On further inspection, they are .45 and very inconsistent. Into the pot they will go. I have a new .452 mold on the way to turn them into! Thanks!
Really cool haul. I like it. I'd try loading every one I could. Any that don't make the cut can go back to the pot for melting.
Thanks!
Nice score 👍 the hole in the base ones I’d melt them. Shoot the rest.
Thanks! That's the plan.
Great finds, Marc 👍🏻💪🏽🇺🇸
Thanks 👍

Thanks, CW! They turned out to be very inconsistent .452 so they all get melted. New mold coming this weekend...
Very nice finds! Melt the messed up ones, load the rest!
That's the plan! Thanks, Josey!
Nice find, never saw factory with that kid of tear out. 😳 I was using brass and wax Bullets. 👍
Thanks, UJ! I'm going to melt them. Wax bullets for the plastic. I remember now you used brass.
Nice score. You have boolits either way you should decide to use them. Thanks for sharing
You bet! Thanks!
Great score and can't wait to see what you do with all of this
Thanks!
Good haul, worth the stop!
Yes it was! Thanks!
Nice find Marc Thomas 👏
Thanks 👍
Solid deals! I'd be melting down the first box, personally.
Agreed! Thanks!
Nice haul
Thank you! 🤗

Great tip! Thanks!
Really nice finds. My devious mind is wondering on the plastic shells what size Crayola crayon might fit 🖍 🖍. Look Daddy pretty colors. 😂
great score Marc
Thanks, Buck!
I 3D print inserts for these Speer plastic brass.
You did well!
Thanks!
Nice Score
Thanks!
Nice,

Thanks, Oddball!
That's some great stuff. I'd like to see those plastic bullets being shot
Thanks, gunnwild1. I'll make a video.
Good vid
Thanks!
You could weight them and shoot the ones that weight the same and melt down the rest .
Thanks, James! I'm going to melt 'em. New .452 mold coming this weekend that they can fill.
The ones in the Hornady box are not correct. The Hornady 148 grain hbwc(hollow base wad cutter) the cavity would be much bigger. Good value for lead.
You are correct! They turned out to be very inconsistent .45 bullets. Into the pot they go to feed a new mold coming this weekend! Thanks!
Score !
Yes! In lead alone. Thanks MOK!
