Honestly I'm shocked there aren't more outfits for the characters to wear. This game seems to have a lot in common with Dragon Quest and in that game every character could wear different outfits. Feels like it would be an easy way to put in micro transactions. I don't like micro transactions, but it's what Tales and Persona do to give characters new outfits, and I'd rather be able to buy some new ones than not have any choices at all.

I just looked up some gameplay for those and while dated, I think generic action adventure fits One Piece a lot better than this inaccurate team-based jrpg formula. One Piece characters going off and doing their own thing, mashing on baddies and roaming about just feels more One Piece-y. It seems pretty chill like some mid-quality pre-time skip wandering about. Like I'm seeing and playing as Zoro doing shitty basic chores for Franky to make some bullshit, instead of 4 strawhats beating one sad generic enemy to a pulp in a turn-based combat arena on repeat forever.
After playing the demo, the difficulty was definitely my main concern. The game is very generous with its mechanics, but if it doesn't balance that by making the enemies you face stronger then it feels like a breeze. I also feel like it has the same issue that a lot of non-canon material has when writing the Straw Hats in that it flattens all of them to talking always about one or two things. Like Luffy = food and adventure, Nami = treasure and scolding the others, Usopp = being scared, Robin = history and dark comments, Sanji = simping and food, etc. I know most people hate World Seeker, but I think that game did a better job at writing the parts of the crew that are often overlooked outsides of the manga when they decide to play it safe.

Yes.....yes it is , I played the demo and I can already tell the Turn-based combats depth. Exploration adn most of all the colorful nature of the game due to its many animations and dialogues. Reminds me of Dragon quest meets the "Tales of" franchise given how the dialogue is paced. Looking forward to this game , unironically meets the standard for a legitimately decent game beyond game based off of an anime. Overall , a step in the right direction for sure. I've always said that a turn-based OP game would be a good one , they have lots to improve on with this formula but I see GRAND potential.
I mean isn't changing past arc a good thing. That means it is more interesting or not then to see the same story again. Also there are people who may play this that don't watch one piece who have no idea about the story so this isn't the issue. Dialogue heavy isn't a problem for me and the rest is similar to dragon quest. The only problem is the lack of depth in the combat system and challenge but a lot of games have this problem in the endgame where you only spam attacks
I think everyone would agree except they only changed the arcs in ways that make the story shorter not in any ways that really enhances what was already there.

Honestly I don’t think it is. Just from the demo I think some of the situations could be easily handled by the monster trio. For example, when you’re looking for Nami why can’t Sanji just jump or sky Walk over and take down the Gorilla? Luffy can literally fly in Gear Four and yet they walk all the way around to get to her? Robin could use her arms as a bridge if she wanted too. Another thing is the girl taken away their powers. Shouldn’t Luffy, Zoro and Sanji’s Haki completely nullifiy her abilities? Also with Luffy dodging her first I thought it would go that way. I understand he found his hat and that distracted him. But no one else was questioning why she touched them? The personalities and emotions the Strawhats were doing was them one hundred percent. And I enjoyed that a lot. But I feel like they could’ve handle situations much differently than they did. They could literally make characters that strength rivals the Admirals and Yonkos so you don’t have to nerf them. They could’ve made those ice lighting things in the beginning zap their strength from Usopp touching and interacting with each other. I understand it sounds like I’m nitpicking, but even though I enjoy the demo for the most part I keep thinking why aren’t they using Haki in their attacks even when they get some cubes back. I feel like One Piece games have insane potential, but they always fall short because of something. I’m not trying to hate, I just think the gameplay could’ve had a lot more in it. I definitely enjoyed the demo minus the saving stuff.
I went in blind, im a one piece fan through and through and i like some jrpgs but man, the pacing, outdated feel, and completly mindnumming difficulty make it impossible for me to enjoy it. 4/10 at best for me.

Its a JRPG…
I would have been more happy if it was like Dbz kakarot
I went in blind, im a one piece fan through and through and i like some jrpgs but man, the pacing, outdated feel, and completly mindnumming difficulty make it impossible for me to enjoy it. 4/10 at best for me.
The best one piece game so far... that's not something to be proud of. One piece games have been trash for so long.
This game is even bigger trash than those
@@firstsonofthesea7938 I have my expectations reaaaally low xD
I know what happened with Ace in the original story but you spoiled that scene of the game in this video, i thought that he could have a different outcome.
Umm am i the only one who thinks that One Piece world is really good for a "Tony Hawk Pro Skater" kind of game?
Nami is mommy
They got post time skip Luffy fighting forest creatures get that bullshit outta here
Too generous for that 7
Great review you saved me 80 bucks
the game is worth it play the demo atleast ☠️☠️
Artur happy New years sir but could you advocate for pirate warriors 4 that is fun and easy to play I can't bother with the complications that game over difficult and technical pirate warriors 4 fun and excited but neglected because all now we don't have no wano awakening packs and legendary pirates warriors pack I texted bandai that make pirate warriors 4 flip on it head with conqueror's haki, that mean the dlc of characters that never in the game could be in the game for example gol d roger, xebec Rayleigh shiki, dragon ,garp, sengoku, king and queen Yamato and her awakening uti and page one, who's who kaido hybrid form, raizo cat viper predro vista and black Maria those are the conqueror's haki that could flip pirate warriors 4 up side down and fun,so please advocate for the dlc packs besides pirate warriors 4 need more content, characters and it needs some shine,it too neglected for far too long
Wow maybe you should try you hand at game reviews, you're rather good at them
All your complaints is the same I feel playing hokuto ga gotoku right know. Man the system is too dated. The dialogues, the pacing, the "uneskippable " dialogues, the half ass insertion of the manga canon in the game history, kills the game flow. Japanese people need to revisit they storytelling methods ASAP
7:35 nami though. hum hum
Let’s hope they don’t charge money for Outfits. Unfortunately the cutscenes still would look like S, w/ the FMI Outfits…
The best One Piece game I've played is Pirate Warriors 3.
So it's a 7/10, but that doesn't answer the question posed in the title. Most One Piece games are pretty bad. Is a 7/10 the best one?
Nah best One Piece game so far has gotta be Pirate Warriors 4
