THIS. It SEEMS like they were trying to frame these guys as nice but kind of cringe and losery but they're both actually terrifying. They were willing to do all of this with a full camera crew around so I'm DEEPLY alarmed by the way they must act when no one is like.... watching them. They're so gross and I think we've all spoken to at least one man like this and walked away a changed and more cautious person. Because it was so off-putting and it felt like meeting a serial killer and getting away.
Once given power, men like this are very dangerous and can also be extremely cruel. They objectify women so much that they cannot even connect on a human level.

When my daughter was five (two years ago now geez), I let her walk by herself to go get a gum ball at our local diner. I could easily see her and she came back, we got into the car. She looked stricken. I asked her what happened, and she said an adult man was talking to her and telling her how pretty she was.
I didn’t say, “Oh that is so nice.” Like my grandmothers would have or even my Mom… I told her if it made you uncomforted then good! No man should ever be talking to you without your mom or dad there. Also we’ve talked a lot about following our gut instinct. If someone gives you the creeps trust it.

You could easily see them get picked up and taken away. There are people who are very good with making children comfortable so they don't get the creeps that could harm them. I used to wander all over the neighborhood and had a lot of independence as a kid (possibly neglected a bit now that I look back). So sometimes I feel like by comparison I’m very protective of my daughter. This diner is a place where I felt comfortable to let my daughter do something herself. Even so it was a rude awakening that even a walk to a gumball machine alone isn’t ok. Fuck dude. It’s crazy.

As an autistic fella myself, I don't wanna see ANYONE IN THE COMMENTS making excuses for skippy by saying "He's neurodivergent, he doesn't understand (insert social norm here)", we all need to stop giving autistic men free passes to be predatory towards the people in their lives. As a Mum with a grown son on the spectrum, when he was younger I went out of my way to explain to him that he should NEVER touch someone without their consent. This is such an important social concept. I don't want my son to be like Skippy. Learning social norms and taboos are SO important for moral, social and legal reasons.

That's pretty normal behavior in Utah. Women just deal with it awkwardly and yes, they are afraid, but try not to show it because if they do, something worse may happen to them. So they try to play nice.

Honestly I feel like the only reason an adult should ever need to be adopted another adult is if they are disabled and are deemed incapable of taking care of themselves.

100%... Tried to explain this to my dad but he was all "no, you just don't give them your number" but sometimes it's the only way they'll go away. I think he finally got it after telling him some of the instances in which I had given a number to just get out of the situation.

And I would say this is probably what's going on a majority of the time as far as real life in-person situations when a woman gives a guy her number or agrees to a date. I figured that out decades ago when I was still a teenager. I don't understand how this isn't universally known. Why some guys can't figure this out is baffling. When women are nice to me and/or talk to me, I ALWAYS assume they are just being nice and are NOT interested in me at all.
@@blissfullycat02 I had the reverse happen to me once, where I gave a woman my phone number when she demanded it, even though I didn't want to, in order to avoid confrontation. She was elderly and lived in my same apartment building. We rarely talked before this happened. Somehow, she found out I was moving out and on my last day, knocked on my door and gave me her number and proclaimed she loved me and didn't want me to leave and asked for my number, too. A few days later, she called me, and I just hung up and blocked her. Just over a YEAR later, she called me again from a different number and I did the same thing.
So, I understand now if I get a woman to give me her number, it is NOT necessarily the "win" I might have thought it was.

As a woman who was born and raised in the Mormon church, and who had been married to a morman man for the last 16 years, and I'm raising other Mormon men... It's the way they were raised, I don't even know if there is a way to overcome that completely. It would mean completely deconstructing biases from your entire life, which takes a level of humility and introspection that these men don't have.
True. It is apparently possible, but we will need more than 1 professional in the room. There would be at least 2 professionals at the same time, so they can rely on each other when one starts to feel exhausted. Those kind of patients are exhausting and dangerous.

Actually going to work and getting a passion and getting friends. Id like to run camp and force desperate people in to it and give them what they actually need. Without that as an option perhaps you could start by getting bringing him into too a hang out with people who can tolerate him and get drunk with him and but work hard to give him a good experience with actual I dont know man. (ok I had to look it up so I don't look stupid-they do have these things, as well as free daycare) Makes me wonder if this was 100% a "mail order bride" situation, or what this dude told Ileana to get her to come to the US. Many people from other countries are shocked that we have to pay for ambulances, she'd be on the first plane back as soon as she saw that hospital bill from the baby's birth!

My theory is that people from other countries have come to have an idea in their head of what America will be like, “the land of opportunity “ and since our media, movies, entertainment, etc is marketed all over the world life in America is depicted a certain way, and many people come to believe the grass is greener here. So I really wanted to know what happened in the adoption story. I wandered down a rabbit hole and Danny appears to be rather sketchy, including having hidden cameras everywhere and locked trailers on his property. Probably nothing (I listen to way too much true crime😂) but it was a creepy vibe. Apparently Illeana left and I kinda hope his wife did too as I don't feel he wanted to adopt a young woman to help her. Oh and 6 women in the area had disappeared, unfortunately 4 were found killed(again, Probably no link) but it added to the chills.

Skippy is totally scary. What I hate the most is how he’s probably able to get away with so many things because everyone just writes off his behavior by saying “Skippy??? No he’s such nice guy. He would never do something like that” or “He just comes on a little strong, but he’s harmless”. Thus, putting the woman in an awkward position of allowing him to trampoline over their boundaries. We literally just watched him shove his crotch in her rear and purposely push his arms up into this girl’s chest. You can see the micro-expressions of rage and anger across his face when he’s told NO. Oh my gosh, this guy makes me scream at my phone watching him. I’ve felt that pressure before by everyone around me because he was so sweet and how romantic he was. No dude, it’s not sweet and romantic to put a love letter on someone’s car while they’re at work after the first date, especially when they’ve never been to your office before and had to track down your car in the parking lot. It made me feel like I was being too picky instead of listening to my gut and the guy turned out to be a legit psycho, to the point people were scared for me. Skippy makes my blood boil!!!!
To guys who wonder why girls are standoffish when approached by strange guys and won't give there number out ya this is why. We made the mistake of giving out our number to some entitled weirdo like Skippy because we "didn't want to be rude" and had the most cringey borderline scary "date" of our life and now we trust no one. I'm actually having some flashbacks to hanging out with a guy I had a horrible feeling about but everyone told me he was super nice and just a bit weird. I made it clear I just wanted to be friends and had no interest in dating him. Anyway he got super possessive, pushy and ended up loosing his shit at me for not "giving him a chance" and got grabby and it scared the shit out of me! Long story short after that there were some incidents with other women and turns out he was a real fugging creep. Moral of the story trust your instincts kids if someone seems like a creep they probably are it's better to have some weirdo think your a bitch than take advantage of your politeness.
This! 100% this! I've met so many creepy men who pushed for a relationship when I was just trying to be nice. I was trying to be nice because that is the rhetoric that Mormon women hear. "Be nice, say yes, go on the date because it was so hard for him to ask." I've had more than one scary or inappropriate date because of this culture. Thankfully, the 18 year old ended up moving out of the camper with her baby and moved in with like a cousin or something in Portugal i read. She realized she wasn't legally beholden to him and thankfully had a way out. I love factor. At the beginning of the previous semester I didn’t have time for food prep/hellofresh. I was like jeez how do I not even have time for hello fresh??? I didn’t know what I was gonna do. Then someone told me about factor and it’s been just a life changer. I even have more time now than I did then and still don’t wanna stop getting them. I have had a few issues but customer service is pretty good and they always make up for it.
