Can we talk for a minute about how Channing Tatum has looked like he was in his mid 30s for his entire acting career?
No one will convince me that this bad movie is a bad movie 😂 it’s so good
I can't help but think just how much more convincing Amanda's character would be as a teenage boy if they had casted younger actors to play the other high schoolers. Plenty of young teen boys have baby faces and high voices still
She doesn't dump him because he disagrees, she dumps him because he tells her 'end of discussion' when she doesn't agree with him.
I also heard Channing says he owes a lot to Amanda because she saw him in a commercial and refused to do the movie unless they cast him as well. So realistically she’s the reason we have the gift of Channing 😢
No matter how bad this movie may be, my mum and I will always quote the “And when my eyes are closed, I see you for what you truly are, which is UGGGLLYY” to each other 😂😂 Another great review, Jaime 💕
The first thing I said to my husband when I met him was “do you like cheese?” Now here we are almost 8 years later 4 years married and a 3 month old son…. So, I’m not saying that Viola’s advice worked, but I’m not saying that it didn’t
Not-so-fun-fact: this movie (along with her HORRIBLE mistreatment growing up) largely contributed to her wanting to quit acting and going off the deep end. I fell down the "early 2000s child star" rabbit hole and her story makes me so sad because she's a fantastic comedic actress. I hope she's healing and is able to return to acting, but if she never does, I hope she finds fulfillment in whatever she does ❤
Amanda Bynes' physical comedy was so good. Her ridiculous movies were a staple of my youth. This one in particular

This just makes me sad thinking about how much Amanda apparently struggled making this...she said she hates dressing like a boy the whole time and made her really depressed!! So sad when ppl can't see the talent in themselves!!!
This movie is a banger! So many quotable moments and Amanda Bynes facial expressions when she’s eating the chicken at the debutante luncheon will never not make me laugh uncontrollably. 😂
You just know this movie doesn't take itself too seriously. Stupid, dumb fun. Love it.

This is still one of my favorite rom coms 🤣 I love the ridiculous sense of humor and the cast works so well together. Amanda and Channing are so talented and pull off both the comedic and serious scenes, which can be hard to do. The fact that she didn't really look like a boy didn't bother me because the people she was trying to fool into thinking she was her brother had never met him. As soon as she encounters Monique, she hides her face because she knows the disguise isn't enough.
I adore this movie; it’s one of my favorite rom-coms of all time. I still tell my husband to “rub some dirt on it,” when he says he’s hurt.
Let’s ALSO talk about how great Amanda is doing now,she is going to beauty school to learn how to do nails. Proud of her!

I remember friends quoting this when it came out, but my mom was superrrr protective of movies I watched, so I didn’t actually see it till I was 15/16 and I FINALLY got the references!!! It quickly became a favorite and now, at 26, I’m still obsessed and even my dad likes it ❤
