I like how you are demoing a CryBaby Wah designed by a BASS player for BASS and don’t realize it.
More Rhetbert is always a good thing.
HAHA
@@RobertBakerGuitar love you both on your own, always insta click stuff. Together, great stuff times two. 🤘🏻
Robrhet agrees.
@@CentaurusRelax314 😆😆
For all you guys that like the wah “half cocked”, but you have a morley type pedal, just use a graphic EQ instead. You’ll have even more control over which frequencies are affected as well as the harmonics..
That tape echo is sick! Best tones came out of that thing. Love this duo messing around with gear!
Two of my favorite UA-cam teachers/personalities in one great effect video. Thanks for letting us listen in on the discussion!
Cool stuff. You could could also get a POD Go and be done with it.
I like Robert but I just can't sit through this with this guy Rhett and his giant Grover eyebrows , he's too annoying!
On your video as you’re scrolling, it says, “It sounds amazing!”
“Uh, I just paid $8000 for this guitar. It sounds amazing!
Really?
When are people gonna learn when you spend this much money……..
IT HAD BETTER SOUND AMAZING!!!!
If you’re paying $75 for an entrée at a restaurant, would you expect anything but an awesome, stellar meal?
That was a bass wah pedal too, right tool for the right job.
"Tool" I see what you did there lmfao
Glad someone said it
Ya, I use the Wah in half-cocked mode also. My all-time favorite wah was one called Phaser-Wah, but haven't seen that in years. Didn't care for the fuzz at all (the one with the lightening bolt display). When I buy pedals today, I check to see that it has stereo ins and outs, I also like sends and returns in stereo. I had the H90 on order, but cancelled it because I got apprehensive about it's complexity. Biggest buy is the Boss analog delay 102, but I already have a Boss dd-500, but the new Boss does have some reverb.
My Morley wah can be set to any spot in the Q even though its spring loaded. Learn your gear.
I didn't see your Morley Wah on the board anywhere?
Not sure that Wah was the best choice as it’s a Bass Wah. Would have loved to hear the Vox hardwired edition but great demo regardless.
I bought Carlos Santanas space echo. Purchased from music store in San Francisco in 1987. I use it now and then to record but wouldn’t gig with it.
You should do a side by side shoot out vs the cheapest amazon micro pedal board you can slap together! Im of the opinion that pricey pedals are somewhat over rated.
Bring in the Afford-a-board from 60 Cycle Hum!
I don’t think they get to keep the stuff but that would make for good watchin’.
I don’t know if I would say they’re overrated. Over-hyped…definitely. The cheaper pedals in my experience tend to break if you use them a lot
I think if you're a gigging muso they can be worth it, but most of the cheaper pedals will get you exactly what you need. The expensive pedals often have features that most of us will never use.
I wouldn’t say they’re always overrated - overpriced definitely in some cases.
I would say though that the cheaper pedals are more likely to be faulty and so have quality control issues from some brands. If you get a good one though then you’re laughing as you’ve spent a fraction of the price for an amazing sound 😊 I’ve got an amazing muff based pedal from Harley Benton that cost £15 which could easily beat some others much more expensive!
This is like a normal pedal board video…minus (-) 35 IQ points. Maybe it’s just their accents.
$300 to make your guitar sound like a blown amp. Totally worth it.
I gotta say that I'd keep every one of those pedals except for the fuzz/wah. I prefer your basic CryBaby or even an old ColorSound for wah, and I only really like 1 type of fuzz, which is the Octavia.
Well. About that. _Now I like_ 2 specific types of fuzz; the Octavia, and that Underground Orc Golem Burp Starship Weeble WarpDrive Fuzz you were using. Holy _crap_ I gotta have one of those!
I just got my first tube amp and now I’m in topedals and can’t stop spending money on pedals like they’re literally toys for adults. Me trying to explain why I need this to people and making sounds with my mouth me makes sound insane. But they’re so fun and really can enhance your tone.
Man that sounds like me, I’ll show my wife a pedal on Reverb and say “this one goes Wah Wah Wah”
It’s an addiction…but, a fun one!
@@patrickian8843 i totally agree with you i spent $600 at the last guitar show i went to on 4 Boss pedals for myself and a Bass for my wife,so she couldn’t be mad cause i did get something for her as well
And talking to some of my drinking/drugging friends, I'm not indulging tonight gotta save for this or that. Later they're broke and am playing with my pedals. That are worth more now than when I bought used.
i would love to see a 1 0 1 Video with the Plasma coil and a Beetronics fuzz :)
That's a bass wah. You can use if for whatever but it was meant for the way Justin Chancellor plays bass.
Expensive isn't always useful. I gotta go for taste in my tonal flavors, mostly. Less is always more.
It's all about that Plasma Coil Yo! There goes another paycheck...
I mean... for most expensive pedalboard if you do one thing per type....
Here.
OD. That thing with the Faders
Fuzz. I guess one of those hard to find ones.
Modulation. H90.
Delay. LVX.
Reverb. That other thing with the faders.
Just the 2 fader pedals is like 2000 dollars alone. Don't know how Chase Bliss sleep at night.
I guess watching this on my phone, I'm losing sh_t, cuz the "plasma fuzz" thing (after the wah that nobody liked) just sounded like static to me. Even though they liked it...I didn't.
The other stuff is great.
The H-90 is just a series of programs that will transform your signal, you can program them to run in different steps, change the order to change the sound. It's complex, but once you get it dialed in to the sound you want, it's awesome. Like Rhett sorta demonstrated.
But as Rhett pointed out, it's probably not suited for the road. Studio only.
I did like the 202, esp the "aged tape" effect, lol.
Some of the stuff was a little too "ethereal" for me.
Mostly, I just want guitar sound. I like "effects," but only for effect lol. If that makes sense.
Very cool sounds. Pedals that expensive are more than what most of us really need but it would be fun exploring what they have to offer.
Southern fried Andertons TV
Southern? I think Robert just moved from Ohio!?
@@mikeg6666 he’s in Nashville = Southern! 🤣🤣🤣
@@alexander_winston Yeah now he is but that's not where he's from , that's like me being from CT and moving to Texas and saying I'm a southerner!
@@mikeg6666 so to follow that logic, if someone emigrates from, say, Ireland 🇮🇪 to the Unites States, then they shouldn’t be considered “American”? 🤔
@@alexander_winston Right ,in America I'm Dutch in the Netherlands I'm American .
You guys are really good together. It's clear you like doing stuff together and listening to each other.
You two were like ten year old kids playing in a toy store. This video warms the heart to see that child like enthusiasm!
The Boss Space Echo is great! I think most of the other pedals , while cool. are overboard for practical use.
My Sales Engineer told me Gearfest was a blast. I bought a new temple board and several pedals from SW yesterday. Arriving to me Monday. I'm stoked
The Temple boards are awesome!!
Dude, throw that Ox in the trash and use an SM57 and R121, like someone who gives a sh*t about tone lol (joking joking)
Hi guys , I like the sound of lose pedals. But, can you do another one but with reasonable price pedals. Hope that you are settling in your new place Rob. All the best to you and your family.

I’ve played hundreds of gigs back in the 90s with a space echo. I never did anything to maintain it… But that thing worked all day every day.
I run reverb before and after delay on my board. So many options especially when you are trying to get super ambient sounds
I wouldn't pay $5 for that fuzz pedal yall are drooling over. Don't like any fuzz pedal, never have never will. Sounds like noise to me.
Sweetwater needs to bring back the live Gearfest. I'm pretty sure that they won't. They should. The virtual one generally stinks.
lol I love that for the H90 he played Love Is On The Way by Saigon Kick, didn't know it and thought it was a cool chorus
Wah: I use the J Bonamassa Cry Baby now for +- 10y. Never went back to another bc of it's range of frequencies.
'Still can't save your slide tone, Rhett 😂
Kinda gives you that vibe from Beastie Boys’ “Gratitude”. Fuzz galore
No Automatone? I thought that stuff was currently the priciest stuff going. Or does Sweetwater not carry them?
That fuzz would be completely lost in a mix. What a crappy sound .
I think the Plasma Coil broke an eardrum. Would be interesting to hear that killer tape echo and reverb in the effects loop.
In a couple months, I think you and Rhett need to reconvene and discuss what you guys have done with the Game Changers you bought and how ya'll are using them. I'm looking forward to hearing what ya'll do with them!
You missed the automotone (if they still make it).. it’s like £1000
I thought that fuzz sounded like a fart through a bull horn haha.. different strokes for different folks I guess.
Oof now I want a gretsch lol.
I love putting and chord over its 4th degree!! Super dreamy sound
I really don't know about it. So it was very helpful tutorial.
plasma coil remind me of
Nazareth miss misery
gnarly as

There’s a couple of pedals there I think that I may have to pickup! Wow what killer tones!
That plasma...just go kick a hole in your speaker :)
i swear the thumbnail changed or i switched universes
I thought I'd see a huge pedalboard like some guys that play worship
The 2 incredible contest host tag team us on a Saturday morning . . I think that V will sound great thru that Soldano . . lol , good morning kids !!!
Will there be a sequel of the least expensive pedalboard?
That Wah is Justin Chancellor's signature wah.
That plasma pedal is straight from hell. I need it.
Imagine walking in seeing Robert just jammin! So good, thanks guys.
This video made me want to pick up my guitar put it back again and look at gear i cant afford
Yhanks for the pedals tour. Some cool sounds!!
The word you are looking for is a “parked” wah.
Cory Mathews and Shawn hunter all grown up.
I have a mini fuzz face it has to be 1st in the order so I agree with Rhett.
I just bought Lessons from both of ya'll. lol!
need some chase bliss pedal they are up there in price.
12:45 started to hear a bit like the beginning of a Meatloaf song.
You can definitely do better for like half of these.
Loved the Don Carr tag at the end! That guitar was sick.
maybe if you want a guitar wah dont get the justin chancellor sig lol......otherwise very cool sounds
Rhett really likes to know stuff.
You know, Robert and Rhett, I may be and probably am in the vast minority, but I grew up HATING the early fuzz boxes of the 60s and 70s -- ESPECIALLY after owning some of them! You don't seem me using anything like them now, unless they are a simulation inside a multieffector like the one I just bought for my birthday, where the fuzz sim feeds and is colored into acceptability by the amp sim that comes after. Yeah, that's my personal taste with distortion; I don't like the more "electronic" sounding stuff. I know, that IS a weird thing to say while talking about a stream of ones and zeroes flowing through metal traces in a silicon rock, but it's what hits the brain that matters. Everything else is just how you get there, and the only one(s) who will really care about the journey is/are the one(s) who took it!
I've got this tiny crybaby that has like 3 variable Q settings you can toggle: 60s, 80s, and 90s
and I fucking love it. And it was only like 70 bucks or something. best wah I've ever owned, and it doesn't take up a bunch of space because it's baby sized.
i watched Fleetwood Mac
1975 live concert
where Lindsey seems or appears to have some type of {auto wAh}
type feature on a few tracks using his white custom Gibson LP
world is turning
was heLLa lit
aMayyzing performance
Would love to get yall's opinion on loop switchers! I've always run my pedals right in front of the amp, nothing in a loop and while I think something like the Gigrig G3 would be way overkill for me, I am curious about some of the more simple switchers
Fun stuff! I used a Space Echo live in the 70's and have since used the TC Electronics Alter Ego which offers 3 easily adjusted delays - WEM Copycat / Space Echo / Echoplex etc. on the 3 foot-switches - but this new Boss one is pretty amazing! The H90 clearly cool but I'm not into 'programming' so keep Chorus / Leslie / Phase pedals separate.
@12:00 😮 not sure if the pedal kicked the amp so high that the mixer clipped or if the pedal is just that insane. @13:15 its the pedal: confirmed. 😲☝️
These pedals all sound awful to me lol.
Came here because of Rhett, now staying because of your playing. New subscriber🎉🎉🎉🎉
Nice Gretsch! I have 2 Annie's that are to this day, 2 of my favorite playing gits, and a Duo that will be buried with me some day.....great vid.. it was fun.
When your favourite UA-camrs collide!! 🎸 💥 🤘
That Plasma Coil is like an old Sci Fiction movie: Like Anything with Electricity, and Lon Chaney JR.
That chord at 6:35 is one of my favorite chords. I play it in standard by wrapping my thumb on first fret. Has such a cool sound!
Hell yes to that Gretsch
Watching your happy faces, when playing the fuzz/dist, gave me a smile and wanted to play my fuzz. Made my night
YÉs Øøoöö 🔥⚡🎸👩🎤
These two = awesome 🤟
What's that Pink Floyd song Rhett plays? I can't put my finger on it.
Run like hell.

Every player needs a Wah
I would love to poll the players that say they don't like them .Just to see all the stuff they're trying to play that probably has Wah on it .
most expensive pedal board sitting on top of the worlds cheapest coffee table! Every time you guys touched that pedal board I thought the coffee table was about to collapse.
👍👍
No compressor ?
You are two of my favorites. But that second pedal was 🤮. Just my opine. 🤘
Great vid !!
Just a thought...
Rob here, Rhett here
Welcome to That OTHER Pedal Show
Crickets
$3500 of pedals sitting on what appears to be the world's flimsiest table.
It's funny how small the Strat looks compared to the Gretsch xD
