Draiman is just incredible. He’s all over the place. I’d rank him up with Tankian. And the fact he was a former nurse just adds to the inspiration. Been listening to this guy for 20 years. He’s amazing.
I love Disturbed and I get fired up with them. But when you talk about vocals, I'm not seeing much change from any song, except for the sound of silence
The thing I love about Disturbed is that David Draiman actually sounds mostly the same in person as on his albums. There are so many artists that use modifications to their voice so they never sound in concert how their albums sound.
His vocals are his instrument, he is amazing!

I am 65 and my son also turned me on to Disturbed 9 years ago and I have been a fan and a lover of Disturbed ever since. I have not been fortunate enough to be able to see him in concert yet.

I love how the bass drum always seems to follow the guitar riff note for note. Such a tight combo. The drums really drive Draiman’s famous “oowah-ah-ah-ah” on DWTS even though it’s just a snare. The bass drum and guitar rhythm and bass being so tight is a very unique thing to Disturbed. It’s all over their records too. For example in The Game, stricken, Indestructible, asylum and another way to die.
That’s my personal take on what makes their sound unique anyways. True pioneers!

David sounds incredible in this. There are times I think he struggles to get the grundgy voice...but this is f'n awesome!
David's vocal is just so...effortless. It just comes so naturally to him. It's like he's not even trying to sing and what comes out is just beautiful. It's hardcore!
Absolutely amazing vocals, it`s really tough to sing live like this. I was most impressed by `Sound of silence`, he sang it so well..he`s a real pro.

Wasn’t a fan of Disturbed until later in life. These guys always come with a very good message he’s always very positive he speaks and sings with more clarity than I’ve ever heard in my life for a metal guy

What I really like about them is how none of their songs sound they same and the amazingly tight vocal harmonies. Plus the subtlety of their entire approach.
to me the guitar on every album after the sickness sounds the same, but yeah every song is uniquely written.

First Concert: My late bro loved Distrubed and I liked Trust Company(3 great albums that year from each band), my Dad surprised us with a Maine trip: Pop Sux Tour 2002. KoRn Disturbed and Trust Company. 20 years since that show and these guys still kick ass.
I’m a 62 yr woman and always jam out at work with this group. The young ones need to be shown what real music is.

Once in a while I start listening to disturbed again and I get more and more attached to it...
This performance is incredible! Disturbed is one of my favorite bands!
Its wild the most powerful song is one of the slowest. A Reason to Fight, we have all lost someone or know a family that has lost a loved one due to depression or addiction. We need to lend a hand to those that are hurting.
He absolutely 💯 aced sound of silence.
My first friend and one of my best friend showed me this band 15 years ago. He passed away last weekend. Love Disturbed, makes me think of all of the memories and moments I shared with him. Thanks guys

In 2001 I picked up a girl for our first date and was jamming the sickness in my truck when she got in ,fast forward to 2021 we are married and she's jamming sound of silence in her car now love Disturbed. She still calls the sickness the monkey song every time it plays love it.

People often forget why a vocalist like Draimen will stop using his fry register partway through a concert.
Using that raspy area of the voice is tiring, and using it for an entire concert can cause damage. So usually he’ll have to take a step back with it. You might not get the “metal” sound that you’re used to, but it’ll still be in tune with a more “pure” tone to it.
The fact that he can still sound like this while LIVE is astounding and impressive!
The Sound of Silence will play at my funeral.

seen them 3 times best was OKC 2011 at the Zoo megadeth bowed out but Dave Effison was the Rockstar dude and was my bday so he hooked me up was the best show I have seen since Floyd..
so glad i saw this band during the believe cycle back in 2003!!! still my favorite til this day!!!!! Mike Wengren is one of my favorite drummers!! his double pedaling is just so tasty!!! he doesnt have to do much to make the song incredible. he sprinkles that technicality which is what i love as a drummer myself!!!! absolutely awesome!!!!!
