I will be using a Stereo rig soon, that's the only way to go! Good demo and playing! I have my heart set on the Orange Dark Terror but I wonder why Orange didn't put a footswitch jack on it? I have a orange rockerverb 32 amp can you show me how to plug in pedals and microphones and pa . i have just been practicing with the amp and i dont know how to set it up to play a gig
Lucas Varela yes absolutely! There are all sorts of sweet spots to find just the right amount of dirt- from just barely breaking up, to full blown saturated overdrive.
Totally understand. If you're looking for a 3 band eq for your clean tone, this isn't your amp. It definitely has strengths in some other areas that make it a killer option for many players though.

If you run pedals with stereo outs, you can send them to the left and right speaker and get a stereo spread - sounds huge when you mic both speakers and pan left and right in the FOH, or in studio too. All of that without having to drag 2 amps around.
Chris Connolly Good call! We had to use what was available at the time but I know we have some new ones in stock now! Gonna have to check that out with this amp.
This may be a silly question, but do you only get the stereo width on recordings when using stereo effects in the loop? Or are both power amps powering the speakers independently, even if you when just plugged straight in?
Rick Sniegowski both speakers are always pushing sound, but the stereo effects are what make it sound wide. Not sure if that’s answering your question though- let me know
@@MasonMusicRocks Nope, that about does it. I'm gathering that micing stereo w/o using stereo effects, and panning hard left and right, will essentially sum to mono.

Man, that does totally negate the portability! Now you have THREE things to lug around! Why do you have to be so discerning with your taste! ha. For real though, I'm sure you hear a difference on the vintage 30's, but FWIW I still think the voice of the world speakers are pretty good. I'd be into a souped up version with the v-30s in it though - that would truly rock. Thanks for the comment! What kind of pedals are you into?
is it easy to disconnect the speakers to run two separate cabs? I got a ppc112 right now and was even thinking of getting this and turning it into a head (since for some reason they wont release it as a head) but I guess just disconnecting the speakers and buying another cab would be much easier!
Blackstar ID260 TVP is also a stereo amp, but it's not valve. It's digital Valve emulation and it's an amazing amp. I own one and will be buying this 32 in another month. All my amps are Orange and Blackstar. I just dig their darker tones.

It's a good effort from Orange - I owned one for about a year and a half. Ultimately, I sold it because it just doesn't work all that well with effect pedals, IMO. And I think that's just the case for EL-84 tube amps in general - because I couldn't get Vox, Egnater, Fender, or Laney amps using that tube design to work any better. If you really want a pedal platform as I did - 6V6, 6L6 and even many solid state amps will serve you better than EL-84 designs because having a scooped baseline really *does* work better when you start layering effect pedals. A mid-centric amp, as EL-84 designs invariably are, just won't work as well. That's not to say Fender or anybody in particular makes better amps than Orange. It's just the old adage "different horses for different courses" applies to amps, too.
This is super interesting - I've never thought of it that way, but it makes some sense. I play through a 6V6 amp and it takes pedals really well, but for straight up amp overdrive tone, I've always loved the EL-84 sound. I do think it's super subjective anyway, but I'm going to have to chew on this... Thanks for the food for thought.

in the video it looks small but i just got one and it’s a big ol’ boy
Ozzy Detxemendy how are you liking it???
Amps stay pretty steady with the price
Man, that didnt age well
😬 if only we had a time machine...
Are the channels footswitchable?
Yes! They are.
Perfect for wet/dry (which is better than stereo because reasons).
NB: This can be used outside of a religious context despite what the comments section would have you believe. Yes! Heathens can use this amp too!
Agree on the wet/dry. Super helpful in recording settings as well as live. Tons of control. Also, to your point, heathens tend to rock harder anyway. Have a good one!
@@MasonMusicRocks Amen, bro! XD XD
Wonder how this would go with another amp dedicated for dry.. I got an OR15 right now and love it but the effects loop is horrendous! I might grab this for all my stereo wet pedals then run the or15 beside it with my drives only!
Sorry, but that amp sounds like trash
I guess it’s not for everyone! What kind of amps do you like?
I fucking love this amp!!!
I got an A/B/Y switch and damn Gina!
I can do W/D with my old Fender Princeton Stereo Chorus or a wild stereo set up since it has two separate effects loops. I can do W/D/W with my old Peavey Studio Pro.
Thanks for this review, awesome range of clean and dirty with and without effects, please do more!
J Tess hey thanks! We are definitely planning on keeping it up. Anything in particular you'd like to see?
stereo works great, even works nicely on mey cheap logitech 20 dollar speakers...
Got this as my first ever tube amp, I have no regrets!
Still liking it?
@@shckltnebay love it.
@@somewhere367 Getting a 68 Custom Pro Reverb tues, considered this but really wanted reverb and trem and have dist pedals

I bet it would! What kind of pickups does it have?

Can you list the song names in order? What was the song at 10:00?
Sounds terrible!
Those are some crazy pickles! But hey, to each their own.
I believe that I’ve seen a couple of boutique amps with that stereo feature but never a name brand amp

Cool
Amazing review.

@@MasonMusicRocks id love to.
With no pedals it sounds harsh imo
qbm Qbm on the clean or the dirty channel?
@@MasonMusicRocks sorry, on the dirty channel
@@Qbm2109 Interesting. I'm used to more of an American sound (6L6 tubes in my personal amp) so the EL84 amps do have more of a British square wave kind of distortion going on. What kind of amps do you use normally?
I’ve got a Roland JC-22 Stereo Chorus , but I have to get this one as well. Great Demo.
That’s awesome- you should set them up and create a 4.0 rig! That would be epic!
What is the weight of that amp
Great demo!
Thanks!
As amazing as it sounds, the thing i don't like about Orange amps is that they make every guitar sound the same. I have a Gibson SG, an Epiphone Les paul tribute, and an American strat, and they all sound the same on my Orange Rockerverb 50 MKIII. Sounds amazing, but people would be totally stumped if i were to do a blind test...
Legolas Greenleaf really? That’s interesting. I haven’t played my tele through this one yet. I’ll have to check that out. I agree that they have a very characteristic sound as an amp. You can always hear that it’s an orange!
I tried the rocker 15 with an Ibanez Jem. The clean sound was horrible, not warm at all. Distortion was useless.
Hum Ro I guess everyone has their own taste! I’ve always thought of orange clean tones as being super warm though- almost too dark for me. What kind of amp do you like for clean tones?
How do you get a wet sound out of the amp? All seems quite dry......
I’m not sure if this answers your question or not, but typically a reverb or delay pedal would give you that sound. This amp doesn’t have on-board reverb.
Very thorough demo, great job!
Thanks!
I have a orange rockerverb 32 amp can you show me how to plug in pedals and microphones and pa . i have just been practicing with the amp and i dont know how to set it up to play a gig
Are you trying to plug a vocal mic into it and use it like a PA? Or are you asking how to mic it to plug into a separate PA system?
I like some dirty sound, but honestly I use & like a bright clean sound
Gordoman cool- yeah for sure to each his own. What amps do you like for clean tones?
What is this amp like for clean headroom , on clean channel?
It has plenty of headroom on the clean side. Gets LOUD and still clean. The clean side is really warm, but not muddy.
Do you think i could get a cleanish sound from the dirty channel? The clean channel os too clean for me
Lucas Varela yes absolutely! There are all sorts of sweet spots to find just the right amount of dirt- from just barely breaking up, to full blown saturated overdrive.
Jesus Loves You
I stopped at the: the clean channel has only one know. Volume.
Totally understand. If you're looking for a 3 band eq for your clean tone, this isn't your amp. It definitely has strengths in some other areas that make it a killer option for many players though.
Great demo! I’m definitely about to buy one
EJ’s Guitars righteous! You’ll be so happy with it. If we can help you out we’d love the opportunity. Here’s ours that’s live on reverb:
Orange Rocker 32 2x10" 30w 2-Channel Combo Amp reverb.com/item/4429746-orange-rocker-32-2x10-30w-2-channel-combo-amp?
I dont get the point of the "stereo amp" part of this
If you run pedals with stereo outs, you can send them to the left and right speaker and get a stereo spread - sounds huge when you mic both speakers and pan left and right in the FOH, or in studio too. All of that without having to drag 2 amps around.
Really liked the review. Buying one
Awesome sauce! If you don't have a local dealer, I hope you'll check out our online store - I know we have at least one in stock and ready to ship!
After running a stereo rig for 25 years the one thing that I feel you left out was using a stereo chorus pedal.
Chris Connolly Good call! We had to use what was available at the time but I know we have some new ones in stock now! Gonna have to check that out with this amp.
Is there a guide for the symbols?
waterhead001 are you asking about the symbols on the knobs? If so, you can find that here: orangeamps.com/rocker-32-manual/
Would it sound better if you drove the volume more?
Check out 8:25 for some more gain! It gets CRUNCHY.
Great great sounding amp!! Fantastic video presentation as well, thank you!
Hey Mason, I also have a LP Classic, a '93, love it! Yours sounds great, how do you like it, what year, what p.u.'s do you have in there?
Hey Chris! Thanks for the compliments! Yeah, this amp is definitely killer. And you can't go wrong with a Les Paul. I do have a confession to make though- I don't know what kind of pickups are in mine. I got it as a present for my 30th birthday and the previous owner had swapped out the originals, so I'm not even sure what they are! I kind of remember thinking that they were 57 classics but not positive. What do you have in yours?
The Rivera s120 and Tbr series were both stereo . S120 could be bought in a combo as well.
1980KDM good to know! Such a cool concept and so much easier to deal with than taking two amps on the road!
@@MasonMusicRocks I had a Tbr for a while then traded it as long as you have a rack and someone to move it I can't say enough good things about it. Those amps are well over 20 years old and were ahead of there time then.
Magnatone Twilighter Stereo - 2x12" 22+22-watt Tube Combo
Ah- that sounds awesome. I’ve gotta check one of those out!
Do you have one???
Yeah 3 times the price
Gibson Goldtone RVS GA-30. It wipes the floor with the Orange... I have one for sale if anyone is interested! But Trace Elliott did this back in 1999.
Gina Garza “wipes the floor” wow- I have a vivid imagination and am now seeing an orange amp attached to a mop being used to clean up the tears of metal bands everywhere thinking of using a Gibson amp. Lol- but for real I just read a little about the amp and it sounds really interesting. What style of music do you use it for mainly?
works great with a Timeline and H9. Dark side of the swept room. Lol.
Gina Garza ha! Gotcha. Nice.
Hosanna! Nice!
Yes! In the highest!
i own this amp
the stock speakers are UNUSABLE
i have purchased a couple ORANGE cabs to run w it
completely negates the portability factor...
when I run the voice of the world (stock) speakers w the vintage30's
in the cabs it ALWAYS sounds better w the stock ones not heard
i could replace em w gold's or greenbacks but , 10" speakers never sound right to me anyways
i bleave the stock ones in for grab and go to d bassists or wherever for room level wet dry
the clean channel is really nice
the overdrive channel set to mild breakup and hit w a germanium treble booster into a Cornish G-2 is very GOOD
damn ORANGE...should have built this w decent 12's
That's cool man. We dig Orange too. Such a great amp for rock guitar players. Classic! If you're serious about picking up a Rocker 32, let us sell you one! Click the link above and check out our price. We ship anywhere in the Continental USA. ROCK ON!
Dark? Orange amps are bright and Fizzy as all hell
@@LeviBulger I think he's referring to the warm drive tones. They're pretty fat sounding.
@@LeviBulger I've never heard an Orange referred to as bright.
Interesting combo. But it has no reverb!
True... but that’s what pedals are for!!! Especially with the stereo option reverbs can get really lush and spread. I’m so used to not having reverb on an amp I barely look for it anymore. What kind of amp do you play currently?
Hot Rod Deluxe. Different sound. Il love both them!
james stark I use an Earthquaker devices reverb pedal for mine. You might like one the Quilter Aviator amps. They are a little more like the fender combos with really fantastic reverb sounds.
I understand!! I just mean the spring reverb o the FHRD is very good. The reverb you use is almost (in France) the half price of the FHRD..... I mean the Rocker 3 is a really great amp (i've heard it many time on stage) but for the price a spring or a valve reverb would be good! The advantage of this amp the 2 HP. But a difference of more 200 euros makes a musician...reflections!!! Cheers!!! (NB: I used a 1998 FHRD....very strong and I've never need to change the HP neither the Groove tubes which for me are the best fot the sound) NB: I also like Marshall and Vox sound....A musician can't really makes a choice between them....it's just the sound we need for each tune created...)
Quitter is a trademark absolutly unknown in France!!! It sounds good yes!!
it isnt groundbreaking as the Roland Jazz Chorus did it decades ago. That aside, this amp sounds awesome.
3:27 what effect was that?
EJ2K Les Paul.
MasonMusicRocks I do feel stupid.. no clue what I was hearing there
EJ2K don’t feel stupid! I genuinely thought you were messing with us bc that time stamp is where I say “kill all my effects, here we go.” Lol! Maybe you were talking about the delay right before that? If so, I’m pretty sure it was my line 6 DL-4.
MasonMusicRocks Yes the delay haha! Thanks man
EJ2K sure thing- no problem!

There are other stereo amps. Fender and peavey have made them. Most notably, the roland jazz chorus.
Ah - see, I learn something new every day! Thanks for the comment!
this amp has 2 power amps accessible w fx (or not)...
still UNIQUE
@@forrallofusplenty4342 Help me understand the difference - the amps drile001 referenced - are they a single power amp split to the two speakers with separate preamp sections?
I just got one and I feel like it is so overly bright it hurts my ears!
Wow- really? I don't hear it as an overly bright amp, but you and I have different ears. What kind of guitar are you playing through it? What amp are you used to? And is there one channel that's really standing out as brighter than the other?
I thought he was gonna say something groundbreaking, but Roland did it first. Still this sounds awesome. I'm interested in buying this
I’ve since been schooled so many times on this!!! Haha. It’s all good though- I’m happy to learn when I’m wrong. Also- we have several in stock right now so get to shopping! reverb.com/item/37746241-orange-rocker-32-2x10-30w-2-channel-guitar-combo-amp?
too bad you didnt actually turn it up so we could hear the amps body.
TheDoug2103 it got pretty loud around 8:30- no ears bleeding but still hot.
