I think this is one of the best gear demo videos I've ever seen/heard. This guy is super knowledgeable, just playing the perfect straight-up licks to demonstrate the sound of the gear. Nice one. Nice amp.
Same amp here, one common trend I see when reviewing this amp is that, I see players turning the gain high with master fairly low, this amp really sings when master is fairly high and then come in with the gain, it opens up a lot more, either way is an awesome amp, the stereo effect loop is so cool, I recently upgraded to Alnico speakers and this amp just shines, peace.
With the speaker upgrade what is it that you mainly notice as the difference? Did it make it a little busier even though they are 10 inch speakers, or was it something else that really made it shine by upgrading the speakers??
@@DaveBloomDrumsOnline My non educated guess tells me that this perceived higher spectrum may come from various elements, different frequency specs and just the nature of the Alnico, I do notice the amp bites without being brittle, I can play fairly loud and not get the fuzzy top end that usually is known on the Orange amps, if anything I feel like is rounder on the top end, if that makes any sense, I am having issues explaining sound! It is a really good upgrade, I do have a song on my channel that was recorded with the Rocker 32 along with the Celestions Alnico
Yeah I preach this to everyone. I have both the Rockerverb and Rocker 32 used together and I play the Rockerverb clean and the Rocker 32 gritty clean. Alot of people who play Orange over use the preamp( gain) it’s rich and beautiful but it goes way over their head to use it in moderation. Crank that that master leave the gain low and push it with a transparent drive and you get this gorgeous guitar tone especially for Single coils. These amps are also great for shoegaze , indie and post punk genres they can literally shine over Fender. Orange needs to rebrand themselves a little bit because they are more than just a “high gain metal” amp brand and they advertise themselves as such.
This amp is an amazing wet-dry rig in one cabinet. Simply return to the amp through the right return and run your effect 100% wet. Bam, wet-dry. Also as others have said, keep the preamp volume higher than the gain, to keep the amp rich without fizz.
I unplug my right channel speaker then plug in a 12' speaker cable to a 1x12 16 ohm Kustom speaker cabinet. Now it true stereo separation. Sounds amazing using stereo effects in my garage.
I have two PPC112's already and if I got this, could I unplug both internal speaker jacks and run two ppc112's through it? I love the idea of the 10" speakers for gigging and jamming but at home, I want that full stereo spread, and would love to be able to run two ppc112's on either side of the room with a dry amp in the middle!
Short answer is Yes, use the stereo out on your GT into the stereo return on the Orange, I would turn the amp simulation off first on your GT, for overdrive stacking you may have to do it a bit different.
That is correct. You can play mono through both speakers as default, or use the send/returns to do wet / dry or true stereo. There is one send output and two return inputs for the true stereo option. A guitar wonderland. 😎
hello, congratulations for the video. I have a question, you connected the overdrive pedals between guitar and input right? (before the pre amp) while the delay is in the fx loop. correct ? thank you
The Orange head engineer suggest the Fulltone OCD on their website. I got it and it's really good on my Crush 35RT. The sound from the pedal is quite similar to the dirty channel. So my dirty channel become like a solo boost. I use the orange FS-1 to trigger the dirty channel. My other pedal is the MXR Carbon Copy. This amp doesn't need a lot of effects and I suggest to stay away from Fuzz distortion. I play a Godin Session Custom 59' and I'll try pure nickel strings on it to get an even more vintage sound. The 50'-70' tones are really nice on it since Orange has a vintage british signature sound. Oh and it's loud even at the minimum volume. Lol I hope it can helps!
@@xaviermerchant9247 Orange amps are easily saturated. For me the sweet spot on the dirty channel is a sound getting closer to Black Keys or vintage blues. It goes from soft to this sound to saturated 80's metal really fast. A fuzz will add mid frequencies and these amps already have enough.
As silly as this sounds... I just want to see where the actual stereo fx loops ins and outs are... I can not find them in photos and makes me concerned. In your video we never see the fx loop connectors either...

Exactly. Literally covered all the bases, no bs. Perfect!
Ohhh man. This amp sounds so good cranked with the 335. Not with the piercing high-end like the Marshalls and Voxes. It's thick and beefy. Loved it!

the thing about orange that I like how it makes each note in a chord stand out
you got some magic sounds here , great review 👏👏🙂
I love me some orange amps! Thanks for another video Harry, I’m sure it’s going to be great!
Thanks man! :)

Damn. I'm looking for an amp for pedals, and I was just looking this model up, and the title says good for pedals? Great! :D
Love my Rocker 32!🤘🏼
Great rundown!

is it possible to unplug both speakers and run two 1x12's?
I wish Orange tried to make a head of this amp..
Imagine the wide stereo with a pair 2x12s...
I mean, you still sort of could. Just unplug one of the speakers and plug in a separate cab. Same idea.
congrats from brazil bro!!!!! your videos deserve more recognition
Thanks man! :)
Only if the school teachers explained things with such detail 😹 amazing video mate
hahah, thanks man!
Great demo and playing and the amp sounds pretty cool also
I would love to see your guitar collection!
Definitely going to do a video soon, this gets requested a lot! :)

I worry about it sounding thin though i have a koch with a closed 10 that has plenty of lows and though its "boxy" i very much like it
Quite to opposite! Deff check one out when u get the chance
great video as always, man! I gotta ask though, how many black t-shirts do you own 🤣
Thanks man, too many hahah
great video! Which mics do you use for the amp-recording?
All gear is in the description! :)
Sensacional eres todo un crack😎😉🤗🙏
Nice Harry..
Thanks man!
Noob question..i have a boss gt 100 do i run it through the fx loop or the input?

So in mono on the full setting, it still plays through both speakers? Am I understanding that correctly?
That is correct. You can play mono through both speakers as default, or use the send/returns to do wet / dry or true stereo. There is one send output and two return inputs for the true stereo option. A guitar wonderland. 😎
Check out the new Snuts album !!! Would love to hear some covers from it
Sure thing!
This lad knows, unreal debut, possibly bout to go no1 too, big things coming 😎.
Doesn't seem to stay clean enough at higher volumes to be labeled the "perfect pedal amp"
hello, congratulations for the video. I have a question, you connected the overdrive pedals between guitar and input right? (before the pre amp)
while the delay is in the fx loop.
correct ?
thank you
Most likely as he probably wanted to show off the stereo effects loop
Great vid! Could you please do some cage the elephant songs?
Thanks mate! Sure!
Do you think running a distortion pedal through this would sound good ?
Also how loud does this amp get ?
I'll be doing that in my next sound like, pretty damn loud!

@@julienlepage7819 what about using a fuzz face, I’ve been meaning to get one

15:38 too much to ask, about this amp too.
When you play molly chamber on orange
This amp good for early arctic monkeys stuff?
I may just have a sound like coming out tomorrow using it for that very thing! :)
Played one of these today and it sounded like an AM radio. Zero balls.

They are in the back where the attenuation switches are.
thank you for asking this question and for the answer! i looked at several pictures on vendor sites but just couldn't see the loop jack holes
HOnestly.. it sounds terrible and tinny? How loud are you pushing it?
no space in between. it is why i am setting up a 2 speaker set up. thanks for trying tho
They sound like a broken fuzz pedal
Ethereum ☝️
Orange amps are so ugly and corny
They sound great!!!!
