I got a 370z last year and I love it. Basically all of the things that use to be a chore like driving to the store or going to work, I now look forward to because they are a reason to drive a car I love.
There's not really an oil consumption issue in the VQ37VHR. People who have this are shooting flames, which is not an issue with the car. This is their choice to do this with a tune. However, the most important issue, that was not mentioned in the video is gallery gaskets. 370Z goes back quite a while and the older years may have issues with gallery gaskets which may grenade the engine if not replaced.
I’ve had my 2013 370z since new…..11 years and several road rally’s (including Savage Rally/ American Gumball Rally) and I’m still having a blast with this car. I do about 120-145mph every week, at least twice a week (in Mexico), and just turned over 100k for miles. Love, love, love having this car in my garage and she fits in well all her sisters😊
my 2 dream cars have always been one of the nissan Z cars and the dodge viper and earlier this way i finally got my 370z and its made driving around everywhere so much better than any other car could, now im just trying to get the money to work on it and modify it
400 at the crank* gonna throw that in because newer buyers of the platform make that mistake alot, in reality you'll be making 340 wheel with the basic breather mods and a tune, and with decent tires and a decent driver you're looking at a sub 4.5 second 0 to 60.
Thanks for this Alex, first your video over at FI "So you want to own a 370z" got me to buy the car and now how to modify. Great job overall and It's a good to see you continuing to grow your brand and content over the years!
Main way to keep good sound is resonated test pipes, great flow, but eliminates that raspy trumpet. Also keeping some kind of resignation in other parts of the exhaust if you don’t want mufflers.
Thank you Alex. Your past video on the 370z over at Fitment Ind is one of my favorites to reference and am glad your covering it on your new channel. Love that you stressed on some of the positives on keeping the 370z naturally aspirated: the stock power is enough if your looking for a very good balanced sports car. As I purchased mine in 2020 as a new model its been a blast to own. And you have just inspired me to take a mid step in my 370Z build. Maybe spend some time with everything less the supercharger before going full on boost. In the name of keeping it on the road I wish the hit the 500-550 hp range. Wish you would have covered some boosting options. Question: why not a 20" staggard rim build? Am also surprised you did not cover the body mods as much. Is it a sign of the times? Also, I agree with your exhaust point and as I am getting older am not fond of letting the neighborhood know I am pulling up. I hear the Stillen exhaust is on the quite side. Why Stillen?? Am stuck in Cali and really trying to avoid getting state reffed. That means quite exhaust with cats..... check. Car not scrapping ground.... check. Tinted windows......crap! Looking forward to your next 370z vid and thx for the inspiration!
Love these videos and you guys, not sure if it’s the algorithm being a PITA but your vids don’t often pop up on my home page! I’m in the UK and have a 350, if I had the money without a doubt would have a 370 though! Great series, love the content
hey man love the video. But i have an idea, people wanna mod their cars but never know the right websites to go to actually buy the mods, body kits etc so i feel like if you put websites for the cr it would encourage people to aactually build the car/ do more research
the linus tech tips of cars in voice and video design, i love it, pretty helpful this vid however due to me being in the UK test pipes is not an option for me, i know full well i will get pulled if i do. so its going to have to be some sort of HFC, i haven't got a Z yet still early days looking and was sold when i saw the price and insurance now i just need to save up for it, hopefully if all goes well i will be getting one next year
Have a 2014 370z, just bought Z1 Dual Cat-Back exhaust and 2.5" Z1 2.5" CAI, can't wait to get them installed! It's a fun car to drive, and the 350z had been my dream car when I was younger, the 370z design to me is a timeless one and it's always looked great to me.
Two of the B roll cars were some of the most expensive wide body kits you can do on the 370z. Green car was a custom metal wide body. The other car was a Varis Kamikaze wide body. Information for inquiring minds.
Disregard the wheel advice. Buy SPL parts adjustable arms to fix the lack of alignment ability. Add negative camber. Run the most aggressive wheels you can get I’ve done both 20x11 +15 and 20x10 +3 in front. The Z34 has huge wheel wells and can fit anything if you invest in SPL FUCA’s and the rear arms to achieve negative camber as needed
Overall good video but I’ve never really heard of 370z’s burning oil. That was an 03-06 350z thing. Mine is making 600 whp, has 65k miles, and doesn’t burn a drop. Also I would not do any intake manifold upgrade other than smoothing out the runners on the factory one. 0 companies have made an intake manifold that doesn’t LOSE power when put on the car. The factory intake manifold is designed to almost perfection and is still used by cars making 900-1000 whp.
350z being longer makes it more stable & better for drifting Also this is subjective but the 350z styling is more classical while the 370 has that drag queen makeup thing going on
If you want a nicer street car, you get a 370, it’s quieter, the controls are less heavy etc.. If you want to have a ratchet, aggressive, loud track car that feels raw with heavy clutch and steering you get a 350 Both reliable and great for the $
On the 2024 nissan Z, is full 3" cats and catback exhaust too loud? Really torn on what exhaust setup i want. I want downpipes and 3" titanium but im afraid ill spend 5k on a system thats way too loud. A 3" downpipe into the 2.5" hks bad?
That whole intro has to go the price of a new NISMO is soo high without the dealer markup $60k for a car that doesnt even make 450 hp might as well get a corvette. Love the video though I have a 370z nismo and a corvette

This is what it’s all about bro😭
please don’t ever kill this series love the quick background info

Thank you so much for this information. Been trying to find the best setup for my Z and this helped out so much
my 2 dream cars have always been one of the nissan Z cars and the dodge viper and earlier this way i finally got my 370z and its made driving around everywhere so much better than any other car could, now im just trying to get the money to work on it and modify it
Yooo my car made it in the video!
18s look too small on 370s IMO unless you’re going for a track set up
I’ve got an 08 g37 same engine. It made 341whp on dyno with test pipes, exhaust, intake and injectors Wich for and na v6 I think is pretty solid
400 at the crank* gonna throw that in because newer buyers of the platform make that mistake alot, in reality you'll be making 340 wheel with the basic breather mods and a tune, and with decent tires and a decent driver you're looking at a sub 4.5 second 0 to 60.
I love my 370z they are an amazing fun car to drive and sounds so gooood.

I literally just bought a 2016 vert lmao awesome thanks Alex
you did NOT need to stab me with that line starting at 2:58
Thanks for featuring my 370Z!

Definitely getting a nissan one day
350 always looked better to me. But the 370 is objectively better performance-wise.
Subjective, 370z imo looks better especially the v1 nismo, but the nismo 350z is just as pretty.
Love these videos and you guys, not sure if it’s the algorithm being a PITA but your vids don’t often pop up on my home page!

@nikku3184 Real good deep tone, if you like a loud but good rumble, I recommend 👌.

Great video bro order me the front splitter added a small lip spoiler as mine is a roadster and doesn’t look with a big wing
