So happy that the interior got finished too... So many times with builds like these you see people just throw some sheet panels up to 'finish' it and the car feels half done. Looks so good with the stock-ish interior 🤤

I just randomly stumbled on this vid and my mind is blown. I've seen a few channels now showing off electric conversions but most of them, while being well done still look like a car that has had the electric side tacked on. This conversion isn't just a swap from petrol to electric, it's a thing of beauty. That dash setup and the little touches like the clear window turning the battery bay into a feature makes the entire theme so cohesive you could fool anyone into thinking this is a concept car from Telsa themselves.
Proof that tuning and hooning isn't going anywhere. Electric or ICE as long as it turns, makes little difference whether the power comes from batteries or fuel. these are the first baby steps into a future that we will love eventhough some can't even imagine it yet. This project is awesome, can't wait to see more like it.
man i wouldve loved to drive this car bro. already knowing what a tesla feels like this wouldve been like an extension between my love for race cars and electric cars
Imagine the Tesla S engine in the rear powering the rear tires then installing a K20 in the front and the K20 powering the front wheels making it AWD but also giving you the option to run either engine on its own. Yeah it’s over board and would be over complicating things but non the less it would be a sick ass build 😎
@@TheMrRichard I did say 'something like this' as I have a few qualms with the design, but the concept of a tesla swap and going electric is quite appealing. I'll be moving to a place with a lot of nature/wildlife, so I don't need something super noisy.
@@TheMrRichard I enjoy the rumble and such just as much as anyone, but I know long-term it isn't sustainable. Plus, the power you can get from a properly tuned electric rotor is nuts. I can already work on regular cars, but as I'm shifting to microelectronics and programming as is the industry, a swap would make more sense. That said, I may just end up getting an Aptera instead. Incredible work, such a clean swap. With all due respect though, you gotta put that liberty walk kit back on. The car looked incredible with it; honestly, no wheels are worth going that wide.

My mate built a Holden Gemini in 26 minutes. It was stock, it had a single carburettor, he put twin Webber’s on it, what a build, took 26 minutes no joke. 😂
Oh I LOVE the new color!!! I saw most parts of the 3 year build, my favorite one on youtube. Love the 350z, love tesla swapped cars, you guys just did both in one lol.
This is truly a work of art and engineering. Amazing build through and through. My only complaint...... You went with fire decals when the opportunity to do lightning for an EV :)
That car is insane!!! Getting it to all fit in there is one thing, but making it all look that clean and OE appearing is just crazy. Its like a plaid, a 350z, and a gt3 all had a wild weekend in the same garage.and this is the result.
This is just a prime example of the need to have EVs that aren't designed to look like something out of Bladerunner... would be so cool to drive around in a "normal sports car" EV
Guys - have to say I am NOT a huge fan of EV's - but this is one of the fav builds of yours. Simply due to loving BIG repowers, and this surely is one of the biggest these days.
Literally, the million dollar question people interested in trying this or having something like this done. Even with tons of discounts they likely get from sponsors, I'm sure it's a pretty penny when all is said and done.
Cool! Probably would've made more sense using something like blue/chrome electrical or lightning look instead of the red flames for wrap.. still awesome!
Could I ask you something since you have already been doing this for a while. Could you use a much smaller battery but also a turbo engine to act as a generator for the electric motors? I always wondered why hybrids don't just go with a gas engine and electric motors but instead keep using gearbox and differential?
yeah nissian has a e-power range extender on some models, basically a gas powered ev charger with ev motors , the motors only job is to recharge.. think e-note with 1200km range on 55ltrs
What an epic build. Incredible attention to detail. Incredible team work. Everything incredible. Except the colour of that centre console. My brain rejects that 😂

Glad you took your time and appear to have done it right. Too many "we've got 15 minutes until this frame has to be a custom car on the way to Sema" utter crap out there. I'd have liked to see the wide body flares actually blended in, but that is a design decision. I'd love to have something with the reliability and cost of ownership of a Tesla.
Really enjoyed seeing what went into the tesla conversion for the 350Z. Thank You. Was a custom car computer module used for the motor gas pedal to motor Drive?
The car looks so cool! I wish car makers would make a coupe version of an electric vehicle instead of just sticking mainly to sedans, tall hatchbacks and SUVs.
Truly admirable that you were able to make a full Tesla swapped 350Z in only 27 minutes! Amazing!
