12:33 in Balkans we have that fruit too, and we call it 'dunja'(read dunya). My grandmother used to make 'slatko' with 'dunja' and walnuts. It's a dessert that Serbian women would usually keep for the guests. Before serving coffee or rakija the guest would try 'slatko' together with water. I suppose other Balkan countries also have slatko with dunja.

I love ❤how you support street performers. I always try to do the same as I think they contribute to atmosphere and quality of life. One of my travel memories is from my last afternoon in London. I was just congratulating myself on getting rid of all my British currency when I came across a street singer with the most beautiful voice. I was upset that I had nothing left for her.
I also have been to Georgia, I mostly liked the Mestia and Ushguli Village, also the beautiful old city of chiatura was amazing too. I am glad that I have been there. One of the best location in eastern europe.
It takes a hearty soul to live in some places in this world. Not sure I'd be up for it. Probably would get used to it but some places wouldn't be my first choice.
Hello nice video looking for the next. Check music from Acetre. Is a folk group from Olivenza Spain but they play Celtic original songs. I don't know if you can download from UA-cam library. Saludos from El Lago TX
Chiatura was miners city but after mining isn't the same as before half of the population have left the city, and it looks like that now. Even though they are renovating the cable cars now, it will not help to much. As for kutaisi, it's nice city but people go there if you want to see beautiful caves, canyons and national parks around city. And second biggest airport in Georgia, cheaper airlines than Tbilisi or Batumi Oh, and you missed main attraction of Kutaisi, it's UNESCO world heritage church Bagrati monastery.
I delete almost all my footage. I keep a few random highlight clips for future compilation videos. In this case I kept the footage from these videos because I was thinking of making a longer version of this one.
Dane sounds like an interesting fellow. I hope you meet up again with him or someone like him who shares your curiosity about the world. It's always special when you show the time you spend with other travelers or fans who recognize you. Thanks for showing us a Georgia that is worth visiting for the average traveler. Keep up the adventures and keep bringing it to us mostly armchair travelers. BTW -- that bundle of clothes you bought for $17 -- were they of adequate/good quality?
@@GabrielTravelerVideos Next time you visit Kashmir, make sure you stay on one of the nicer houseboats on Dal Lake, across from the main shikara stop on the lakeside boulevard. They are cheap. We stayed on one back in 1980, and it was the best deal ever. The houseboy doubled as rower when we wanted to tour the lake and backwaters. The owner and his family lived in another boat attached in the back where meals were cooked. We even had snacks and beers delivered by one of the grocery boats.
Sounds great. The one I stayed at was nice but it was in kind of a random location. I ended up there because of a guy who was at the bus station when I arrived. Turned out to be a cool place but a more central location would be preferable.
I don't. I would compare this to being worried about getting hit by lightning. It's something that could happen but it's ridiculously unlikely and you're better off paying attention to where you're walking so you don't fall and twist your ankle, which is a lot more likely scenario. Basically, focus on trying to prevent things from happening that you can actually prevent by paying attention, because some things are just outside of your control.
I have been in Georgia three times and I am sorry but I feel this video is so boring.... Georgia is a way more beautiful country than what's shown in the video clip.... I think it is better to work hard, make sufficient money to travel then go to any country, you will enjoy much more. If you speak Russian it will be way easier for you to travel in Georgia... Georgia is amazing (food is amazing, people is amazing, nature is amazing)... but this video shows nothing. Obviously this is a creepy video taken by creepy tourists...

Great job on showing us guys who love to travel that there’s more beautiful places to see in the world than just the “known” places. Thank you Gabe! 👍

The fruits you see at: 12:40 is quinces. They are really bitter but you can boil them to make jam or tea. And this is really good!
Great, thanks. I'm not sure if I've ever had a quince.

Such rugged terrain and those ski lifts look sketchy for sure. I liked the little side vendor food looked cheap and yummy. Georgia looks dope
@26:00 that's a song in Hindi. India's official language!

Gabriel, how do you store the footage that you filmed in the past?
Magic bro
I delete almost all my footage. I keep a few random highlight clips for future compilation videos. In this case I kept the footage from these videos because I was thinking of making a longer version of this one.
😮 so you have no backup if UA-cam was to lose your videos!? We store all our videos from our UA-cam channel on a external hard drive

Yes the clothes worked out great, exactly what I needed. Only problem is the sweats shrunk when I washed them and are now too short.
Naaaice..I m inspired

why you stayed clean all the way long
Looks like your timing is impeccable once again, i.e. the trouble in Ukraine. I remember the flare-up in Kashmir just after you left there.
I know man, it's weird eh? This happens all the time.

Do you ever worry about being kidnapped like on "Locked Up Abroad" by ransomers?
If you do, are there a precautions you take?

Georgia is where Stalin came from.
Which was then part of the former ...USSR.
Staling came from Georgia, which was then part of Russian Empire (in 1878 or 1879).
