    Great job on showing us guys who love to travel that there’s more beautiful places to see in the world than just the “known” places. Thank you Gabe! 👍

    12:33 in Balkans we have that fruit too, and we call it 'dunja'(read dunya). My grandmother used to make 'slatko' with 'dunja' and walnuts.It's a dessert that Serbian women would usually keep for the guests. Before serving coffee or rakija the guest would try 'slatko' together with water. I suppose other Balkan countries also have slatko with dunja.

    The fruits you see at: 12:40 is quinces. They are really bitter but you can boil them to make jam or tea. And this is really good!

    I love ❤how you support street performers. I always try to do the same as I think they contribute to atmosphere and quality of life. One of my travel memories is from my last afternoon in London. I was just congratulating myself on getting rid of all my British currency when I came across a street singer with the most beautiful voice. I was upset that I had nothing left for her.

    Chiatura was miners city but after mining isn't the same as before half of the population have left the city, and it looks like that now. Even though they are renovating the cable cars now, it will not help to much. As for kutaisi, it's nice city but people go there if you want to see beautiful caves, canyons and national parks around city. And second biggest airport in Georgia, cheaper airlines than Tbilisi or Batumi
    Oh, and you missed main attraction of Kutaisi, it's UNESCO world heritage church Bagrati monastery.

    Dane sounds like an interesting fellow. I hope you meet up again with him or someone like him who shares your curiosity about the world. It's always special when you show the time you spend with other travelers or fans who recognize you. Thanks for showing us a Georgia that is worth visiting for the average traveler. Keep up the adventures and keep bringing it to us mostly armchair travelers.
    BTW -- that bundle of clothes you bought for $17 -- were they of adequate/good quality?

    • @joek9372
      @joek9372 6 років тому

      @@GabrielTravelerVideos Next time you visit Kashmir, make sure you stay on one of the nicer houseboats on Dal Lake, across from the main shikara stop on the lakeside boulevard. They are cheap. We stayed on one back in 1980, and it was the best deal ever. The houseboy doubled as rower when we wanted to tour the lake and backwaters. The owner and his family lived in another boat attached in the back where meals were cooked. We even had snacks and beers delivered by one of the grocery boats.

    • @GabrielTravelerVideos
      @GabrielTravelerVideos  6 років тому

      Sounds great. The one I stayed at was nice but it was in kind of a random location. I ended up there because of a guy who was at the bus station when I arrived. Turned out to be a cool place but a more central location would be preferable.

    • @MrBenAlan
      @MrBenAlan 6 років тому

      If you do, are there a precautions you take?

    • @GabrielTravelerVideos
      @GabrielTravelerVideos  6 років тому +2

      I don't. I would compare this to being worried about getting hit by lightning. It's something that could happen but it's ridiculously unlikely and you're better off paying attention to where you're walking so you don't fall and twist your ankle, which is a lot more likely scenario. Basically, focus on trying to prevent things from happening that you can actually prevent by paying attention, because some things are just outside of your control.

    I have been in Georgia three times and I am sorry but I feel this video is so boring.... Georgia is a way more beautiful country than what's shown in the video clip.... I think it is better to work hard, make sufficient money to travel then go to any country, you will enjoy much more. If you speak Russian it will be way easier for you to travel in Georgia... Georgia is amazing (food is amazing, people is amazing, nature is amazing)... but this video shows nothing.
    Obviously this is a creepy video taken by creepy tourists...
